The movie was made for Om Trinetra production by Bishnu Gopal Shrestha. The super hit movie of its time, ‘Chino’ was one of the best movies of Shiva Shrestha and Bhuwan KC. The songs featuring the voice of Narayan Gopal were also the major attraction of the movie. ‘Mohani Lagla Hai … ‘ is the all-time favourite song of Narayan Gopal. The director Tulsi Ghimire has written and edited the movie. The leading actresses in the movie, Kristi Mainali and Sharmila Malla have also done a great job. The movie is written by the director Tulsi Ghimire. Ghimire was also the editor and one of the actors in teh movie.

About ‘Raju Raja Ram’
Nepali movie ‘Raju Raja Ram’ is one of the most unique movies in the history of Nepali cinema. The movie features almost all of the top actors and actresses in the Nepali movie industry at that time. It is not only in the Nepali movie industry, divorce among Nepali couple has been in the increasing trend these days. This might be because, compromising is not in the cards of today’s youth. I think, there is nothing wrong to get out of the relationship that is not working out. But, divorce also brings a lot of pain and problems to the both the couple involved. The traditional Nepali society has made it even worse by tagging them ‘bad example’ to the society.
This post was originally written on Jan 29, 2012. In the mean time I had updated it to reflect the changes in the status of Nepali artists. I think, it is the time to rewrite the whole post.
Rekha Thapa and Chhabi Raj Ojha
2016 – Rekha Thapa and Chhabi Raj Ojha have officially divorced after 4 years of unofficial divorce after a decade of living together. They signed the legal paper and make it legal in August of 2016. Right after the divorce, Chhabi has told that he is planning to get married for the fourth time. Will he marry the actress Shilpa Pokharel or is he using the controversy only to promote his movie – that is a huge mystery of the Nepali movie industry.
While shooting and post-production of ‘Himmatwali’ Rekha is having an affair with Sudarshan Gautam. But, right after the release of the movie, Rekha reportedly dumped Sudarshan.

The Nepali movie ‘Sagun’ is a presentation of Creative Hands, is subtitled ‘An explosive love story’. Please don’t confuse this movie with another ‘Sagun’, a Tamang culture film.
The lead actors Rabi Basnet and Juli Thapa are the new presentation in the movie. Bijay Deuja is also a new presentation in the film. While Basundhara Bhusal is a guest artist, special attraction are Shiva Shrestha and Bipana Thapa. Based on the story of Bikash Acharya, the script was written jointly by Suraj Subba and Deepak Giri. Music is composed by Sachin Singh, choreography of Raju Shah, action of Rajendra Khadgi, cinematography by Shiva-Kishor Dhakal, and editing by Karun Thapa. Actress Ragini Khadgi is featured as a child artist in the film. The director Nawal Nepal was the assistant director to Narayan Puri.

Two movies were released last Friday (I am a couple of days late this week to update on the Friday release). The movie released this week (on May 27, 2016) were director Ramesh Bogati’s movie ‘Kina Garen Maya’ and director Raju Aryal’s movie ‘Action’.
The movie ‘Action’ directed by Raju Aryal features the actor who used to be known by the title Angry Young Man, Shiva Shrestha. Although pretty old for the role, he is again featured in action role in the movie released last Friday. The movie features the clash of two different generations. The leader of the first generation is Shiva Shrestha and the second generation is represented by Pramod Deep. Actress Jenisha KC is also featured in leading role in the movie.

The superhit Nepali movie ‘Raanko’ was a multi-starrer movie by Om Trinetra Production. The presentation of Bishnu Gopal Shrestha, ‘Ranko’ features the cinematography of Pramod Pradhan / Hari Ray, story by Abinash Sharestha. In dialogue Man Bahadur Mukhiya had helped Abinash Shrestha.
There was high hopes from the movie released on Friday, ‘Bagmati’. The movie featuring well known actors like Rajesh Hamal, Shiva Shrestha, and Keki Adhikari was told to have produced spending the highest production cost in the history of Nepali films. The movie directed by a South Indian director and the technicians, was also well promoted. But, the final result is considered below average by most of the viewers and even the actors. The lead actor, Rajesh Hamal, in his Facebook post that he is sad that the movie was left incomplete.
Rajesh had watched the movie with his wife Madhu Bhattarai and Shiva Shrestha. After watching the movie he has appreciated the cinematography and thrill but was apparently not happy by the execution of the movie. He has also revealed that the details of the sequel wasn’t worked out with the film artists. He has also expressed his dissatisfaction on the return back of the director Sunny Kerala back to India a day before the release of the movie.
The Nepali movie produced by South Indian producers and technicians, ‘Bigmati’ has released in theater on Friday, January 8, 2016. The movie released in 80 theaters all over country is considered the most costly movie in the history of Nepali movies. The movie featuring the top actors in Nepali film industry is directed by Sunny Kerala. The movie made under the banner Tree Entertainment, is produced by Dinesh Darshandhari and Bijaya Satyal.
‘Bagmati’ featured Rajesh Hamal, Shiva Shrestha, Keki Adhikari, Rabikar Ghimire, Shreya Karki, Kanchan Thakuri etc. All the technical works of the movie was done in India and the most of the background crews of the movie were also South Indian.
