Rekha Thapa wins best actress award, again
Shiva Shrestha won the Lifetime Achievement Award
Actress Rekha Thapa was awarded the best actress award for her role in ‘Kasle Choryo Mero Man’ in Box Office Film Award 2069, held on Friday December 7, 2012 in Dubai. Rekha was also the best actress in Viewer’s Choice. Among actors, Rajesh Hamal won the Viewer’s Choice award and Aryan Sigdel won the best actor award. Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha was awarded the viewer’s choice award (producer). The best movie was declared to be ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. Best movie in Viewer’s Choice category was ‘First Love’. The best director award was awarded to Suraj Subba for ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. In the event, awards in 31 different categories were awarded.
Actor Shiva Shrestha was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other actors honored during the ceremony include actor Bhuwan KC, Suman Singh, Mohankrishna Shrestha, Madhukar Shrestha, and Sunil Manandhar.

Marriage problems in Nepali movie sector
Divorce in Nepali movie sector has become a common happening these days. Divorce brings in pain and problems and doesn’t come easy for both the parties involved. The traditional Nepali society has made it even worse in terms of setting a ‘bad example’ in the society.
Let’s analyze some of the high profile problems in marriages of the personalities of Nepali movie industry:
Bhuwan KC / Sushmita KC – Bhuwan KC is known for his affairs with various ladies. Bhuwan KC’s first marriage with Bijaya KC ended when Bijaya went to USA with their kids. Bhuwan found Sushmita KC as his second wife. That too didn’t lasted long and they ‘divorced’ until they reunited again after the release of “Ma Timi Bina Marihalchu”. But, they have divorced again. Bhuwan’s affair with Sharmila Dangol didn’t go far and he is living alone these days. We won’t be surprised if Bhuwan and Sushmita get together after the release of ‘Sathi Ma Timro’ as predicted by friends in Films Nepal. (update- they didn’t get together, but there is rumor that Bhuwan is having an affair with Jiya KC)

Rajesh Hamal in a music video with Nisha Sunar
Rajesh Hamal, the superstar of Nepali cinema, has acted in a music video of singer Nisha Sunar. Rajesh is acting in the song titled ‘Timi Gayeu Timi Sangai…’, in Nisha’s upcoming music album ‘Solo’. The singer, Nisha Sunar, is also acting in the music video.
The music video is being shot at Sarangkot, in Pokhara. Nisha has previously acted in ‘Pan ma parag chha…’ with another movie star, Bhuwan KC. She had also acted with Shiva Shrestha in ‘Item dance…’ Nisha has also acted with another movie star, Dilip Rayamajhi, in ‘Timro Man Ta…’.
Nisha Sunar started her musical career with professional singing at Venus Restaurant at Nagarkot.
