About Pachheuri

The movie by Chandra Kumari Gurung for Amrita Cine pvt., the the movie featured top actors of that time. The actress Nabina KC who was featured in the movie had died in an accident at her home at the time of the release of the movie. Top actors Shiva Shrestha and Bhuwan KC are also the main attraction of the movie. Kristi Mainali and Shanti Maskey are also featured in main roles in the film. The comedy actors Gopal Raj Mainali and Basundhara Bhusal were also the top comedy couple of their time. The child artists featured in the movie include Mandip KC, Shusan Das Singh, Sajani Shrestha and Shayam Lama. The movie was shot mostly in Dharan, Pokhara and Kathmandu. Other artists featured in the movie include Tika Pahari, Mukunda Kishor Bhattrai, Jayenendra Chand, Maya Pradhan, and Gopal Bhutani.

The movie features late Jeshika Khadka (Jyoti Khadka) who had committed suicide after the completion of the shooting of the movie. The actress’ relationship with Baldip Rai was also one of the issues that was discussed at that time. But, the real reason of the tragedy is considered to be the sex scandal of the actress with popular comedy singer, Prakash Ojha. After the scandal the actress had been a subject of humiliation. It not only caused problem with the actress, the singer’s career also went into ruins. Prakash Ojha’s comeback attempts as singer, film director and TV program producer had been unsuccessful after that.

About Jaya Kishan Basnet

The director and the actor of the movie, Jaya Kishan Basnet, is a brother of another well known director Shovit Basnet. Shovit is credited in establishing Jaya Kishan in the film industry. In addition to acting, Basnet also produces the movies he is featured in. These days, these two have slowed down in the production of movies.

This movie was a presentation of Jahanwi Basnet and Brabhim Basnet present for Trendy Films Pvt. Ltd, the home production of Jaya Kishan Basnet.

Kanchhi – Shweta Khadka film released in theatre

The comeback movie of actress and producer Shweta Khadka, ‘Kanchhi’ has released in theatre on February 16, 2018. The movie has a challenge to compete with Anmol KC’s hit movie ‘Kri’ that was released last week. The movie is still running in 60 screens in the second week of its release. The new release movie ‘Kanchhi’ has also got similar number of screens – about 60 for the release.

The movie’s trailer and the songs were well received. The movie is the comeback movie of Shweta Kahdaka after ‘Kohinoor’, the last movie of Shree Krishna Shrestha. Shweta has recovered from the very-long mourning after the death of Shree Krishna, a month after she married him.

Car accident of Takme Budha, Wilson Bikram Rai

The vehicle Takme Budha, Wilson Bikram Rai, met with a dangerous accident in Morang. Takme Budha was returning from Madhumalla Mahotsab at Morang to Birtamod at around 12 AM on Tuesday. According to producer and actor Rajesh Ghatani, the accident was caused by a stray dog. The vehicle lost control when, the driver, Wilson tried to save the dog on road.

In the accident, the vehicle Hyundai I-10, BA 17 Cha 1902 overturned beside the road. In addition to Wilson and Ghatani, there were Bishal Limbu, Yukesh Limbu, Samil Rai and child artist Jeshika Rai. Everybody safe although the vehicle sustained damage and was overturned, landing on the roof. See the following photo:

About ‘Darpan Chhaya 2’

The successful director of the the past, Tusli Ghimire had told that the movie would make Rs. 120 million in box office collection. But, that didn’t prove to be true. Viewers comment in summary – The story is great, the movie is made great. Some actors are not that good in acting but, in over all the movie is very good. Despite of positive reviews from viewers, the movie however failed to impress the other viewers. The film was released last year (in 2017).

A presentation of Anand Dhakal, the movie ‘Barmala’ is produced by Suraj Acharya and Ashutosh under the bannner Haleshi Mahadev films. The hit move featuring Rekha Thapa and Bipana Thapa with Nikhil and Ramit Dhungan is made on the story of Om Pratik. Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ has written the script and dialogue of the movie. The action is directed by NB Maharjan, choreography of Raju Shah, music of Laxman Shesh, editing of Banish Shah and cinematography of Bhim Rana.

The multi-starred movie was a hit movie of its time.

Action star Nikhil Upreti, beautiful and a well known actress Bipana Thapa, top actress of Nepali film industry, Rekha Thapa, pilot actor Bijaya Lama, Ramit Dhungana and Mithila Sharma are the main attraction of the moive. The action and masala love story film will not disappoint you.

This is one of the few movies Nikil is featured with Rekha Thapa before they started having problem with each other. These days they are trying to get together. After, Rekha’s stardom dwindle, she is trying to mend her relationship. Rekha’s attempt to do that with Aryan Sigdel failed in ‘Rudra Priya’.

Yes, comedy actor Deepak Raj Giri is now related to the mayor of Bidur Municipality by a marriage. I hope the marriage ceremony won’t be a secret event this time as it was in the case of his son.

The elder daughter of comedy actor, writer and producer Deepak Raj Giri, Mausami Giri is going to get married on February 23, 2018. Mausami got engaged to her boyfriend Sushil Pandey in a family event on February 7.

Kri review, despite negative reviews, I think, film will be superhit

As expected, Anmol KC’s movie ‘Kri’ was houseful everywhere. But, the response were not consistent. While some of the viewers have appreciated Anmol KC’s effort in the movie, others have criticized the movie as being very bad. It seems, a lot of viewers had much higher expectation from the movie.

The film makers had anticipated such response. So, they had released a half-backed song few days before the release of the movie. The film critics have rated the movie very low. For example, Gokarna Gautam of Nepal magazine has rated it 1.5/5. The review is titled “A stale story of revenge”

Summary of what Gokarna said:

  • Anmol KC is bad at acting (That’s not a new ‘compliment’)
  • In the past, Anmol was limited into lover-boy character, now he is seen in an action avatar.
  • Script and directorial aspect of the movie is totally dependent on Anmol KC, like is previous movies. (And, they all were successful.)
  • The technical aspect of the movie is exceptional.

After reading the reviews and negative reviews in Twitter, I am confident, ‘Kri’ will be a hit movie.

Short Movie – Hunnari (Deepak and Deepa marry)

The couple of popular teleserial, ‘Tito Satya’, Deepak and Deepa has performed a love marriage in a new short movie prepared for a government organization in association with and INGO, Save the Children. The movie titled ‘Hunnari’ features Deepak Raj Giri as a disabled village boy and Deepa Shree Niraula as a widow.

The movie is prepared to create awareness among the public about the importance of the social security

The movie features Deepak, Deepa, Deshbhakta Khanal, Laxman Bikram Basnet, Laxmi Giri, Niru Khadka, Deepak Acharya, Kamala Regmi, Geeta Thapa and Apsara Adhikari in main roles.

What happened in Kanchhi Musical Night?

Shweta Khadka organized a musical night titled ‘Kanchhi Musical Night’ for the fund raising of the Majhi Basti, being constructed in Sindhupalchowk. The residential area is being developed by Shweta Shree Foundation, a foundation registered in memory of actor Shree Krishna Shresta. Shree had died a month after marrying Shweta.

In the event organized in Annapurna Hotel in Durbar Marg, senior choreographer, Basanta Kumar Shrestha was given Rs. 51,000 and life-time achievement honour. In the event the members of Shweta Shree Foundation, various film artists and ‘Kanchhi’ film team. There were a total of about three hundred guests.

Kri song, good location – bad singer (Or, is it a strategy?)

I think, it was a huge blunder – a move probably bring down the high expectation of the viewers from the movie.

  • The movie ‘Kri’ is releasing this week.
  • Last week, Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki flew to Scotland for the shooting of a song.
  • It seems, the travel was more for Bhuwan KC and his girlfriend Jiya KC than the movie. According to a photo Anmol KC shared, they had met Bhuwan’s first wife, Bijaya Malla KC and his daughter Kajal KC in Europe. (watch the following video report)
  • The trailer of the movie was huge success although, there were accusation of stealing contents from Hindi movies.
  • The first song of the movie ‘Yeti Yeti Pani’ was also a huge success.
  • The second song will probably be successful because of the hype created by Anmol KC, trailer and previous song. But, when quality is considered – the voice doesn’t fit Anmol.
  • The second song was released 3 days before the film’s release, in a program held in Kathmandu. The song features Rodit Bhandari’s voice, Rodit’s lyrics and his music in association with Bishesh Pandey.
  • The song was shot in 3 days, video edited and released in another three days.

Few questions:

  • Was the release of the song necessary? Was it released to cool down the popularity and high expectation of viewers?
  • Was it done for an advertisement of a product Anmol is promoting? There is an advertisement board in the song – for a product featuring Anmol with Samragyee in the background of a scene featuring Anmol andAditi. Anmol was reportedly paid Rs. 10 lakhs to be featured in that ad.
  • The video is good but the voice of the singer doesn’t seem to fit Anmol. May be it was because the editing of the video was done in a hurry?

Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki in Scotland (Photo feature)

The song of upcoming movie of Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki, ‘Kri’ is going to release on Monday. The song was shot in Scotland, a couple of weeks before the release date of the film. Aditi, Anmol and Bhuwan KC had gone to Europe for the shooting two weeks before the release dat of February 9, 2018.

The song previously released, ‘Yeti Yeti Pani’ had became an instant success. Anmol fans are eagerly waiting for the second song of the movie. Based on the hype and promotional strategy, the movie will receive a huge initial crowd in theatre. The quality of the film will determine if the film will be successful in a long term.

The song shot in Scotland was shot in three days. The title of the song ‘Maile Jani Najani’ features Anmol and Aditi. The song has the voice of Rodit Bhandari and is made on the lyrics of the singer. The music is composed by Rodit and Bishesh Pandey.

Before the release of the song, few photos of Aditi and Anmol during the shooting of the song was released by the film team.

New Tattoo of Samragyee RL Shah and Aryan Sigdel in Philippines

Actress Samragyee RL Shah and actor Aryan Sigdel are currently in Philippines shooting for their upcoming movie ‘Kayara’. Samragyee reportedly was paid a whooping Rs. 10 lakh – a new high to be paid to an actress in the Nepali film industry.

The details of the movie ‘Kayara’ is not available. It seems Aryan is featured as a singer or musician. In one of the photos, Aryan has a tattoo of a guitar on his neck. They seem to be shooting in sea shore and island.
