This is the fourth sequel of the hit-series of ‘Ae Mero Hajur”. The lead characters have repeated in this sequel from the earlier release – Anmol KC and Suhana Thapa. They were featured together in the 3rd sequel – Watch the 3rd part of the movie here.

There aren’t many sports drama movies in Nepali language. That too, a typical Nepali sports movie is unheard of. This is such a unique movie by noted film director and actor – Khagendra Lamichhane. ‘Talakjung VS Tulke’ famed actor and director, Lamichhane is one of the rare intellectuals in Nepali film industry.
This movie is unique because:
– It doesn’t copies from Indian films or other foreign films.
– It is not a formula movie. A risky business.
– It is about an unique Nepali sport – Dandi Biyo game
The lead actor Khagendra Lamichhane is featured as Damaru. After studying away from home, he returns back to his village with an unique aim – to revive the traditional game of dandibiyo, a sports his father used to love and play. At that time, his father, although once a reputed dandibiyo player, had changed and tries to stop his son form focusing on the game. His father’s suggestion was to focus on Damaru’s own career.

Bikash Raj Acharya’s movie “Hajar Juni Samma” was released in August of 2019 featuring well known actors of Nepali film industry – Aryan Sigdel, Swastima Khadka, Priyanka Karki, Salon Basnet, Sanchita Luitel and others. Acharya, the director of five sequels of ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ movies has also followed the similar story line in this movie. In short, it is another love-story formula movie.
1) The story is good.
2) Screenplay is terrible.

What is Formula Movie?
A formula Nepali movie is set in a pattern of ups and lows that had worked in the past and repeated in that manner. It has all the songs, comedy, love, tragedy and similar character sets. A typical 7-points formula can be:
1) The protagonist (lead male character usually called hero) is full of fun.
2) The hero jokes, sings, and dances on songs to woo his love interest. That goes on till the end of the first half.
3) There is a hero’s friend, who is usually a comedy character. His sole purpose is to be the supporter of the hero. He communicates the hero’s intentions to others and assists him while cracking few jokes and create situations.
4) There is a character opposite to the hero – an antagonist / a villain. He/she might have a supporter friends too.
5) At the end of the first half, there is a major twist in the event.
6) Things start to get intense in the second half. The fun-loving character turns into an emotional or a fierce fighter or something of that sort.
7) And, there is the climax part – where the villain is defeated by the hero after leading the story through an unnecessary event or songs with a twist in the plot right before the ending. Continue reading

Actress Niruta Singh has recently shared some videos taken during the shooting of the movie in her YouTube channel. In the video she is helping Deepak Raj Giri to wear saree and Dilip Rayamajhi is wearing one. Kids nearby are laughing on the actors. I think the shooting was of this movie. The comeback movie of Shweta Khadka after the untimely demise of her husband Shree Krishna Shrestha in 2014. She waited four years before she starred in another movie. In 2014, The last movie of them being featured together – film ‘Kohinoor’ was released. Shree Krishna was at the hospital at the time of the release. He had sent an audio message to the viewers of the movie that he couldn’t attend the release of the movie. It was a shocking moment for Shweta Khadka. She went into depression for a long time. It took a very lengthy treatment in Nepal and out of country before Shweta become better. The movie got a lot of viewers in the theater and was one of the successful movies of the year. The director, Aakash Adhikari had also directed the last film of Shree Krishna Shrestha, ‘Kohinoor’. The movie became a superhit movie earning a record breaking amount in theatre in 2014. ‘Kanchhi’ was released in 2017 in theatre.
