Kopila Upreti getting more aggressive in Nikhil and Sanchita relationship

kopila_nikhil In the phone interview Kopila Upreti, official Mrs. Nikhil Upreti, repeated more than once that she has faith in Nikhil; indicating Kopila herself being unsure about the latest report on Nikhil and Sanchita’s marriage.

Kopila, in another TV appearance, a Sagarmatha TV program, reportedly told that, she can give life for Nikhil and can also take his life if he betrays her. Mother of Nikhil’s six month old child, Kopila, sound feeling betrayed by the actor, already.

Nikhil Upreti reportedly told that he has married Sanchita Luitel when he left for Mumbai a week back. His wife Kopila Upreti however told that he will conduct a press conference when he returns back on Sunday (March 28). Today is Tuesday and we haven’t heard from Nikhil yet.

SLC Board Firsts, historical record from 1991 to 2061 BS

SLC 2072 result was released on Friday, June 19, 2015. Result is available at

School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination,  conducted to the students of grade 10 to determine if they are eligible for further studies, is going on in Nepal.

The exam used to be a benchmark on a school’s performance. The unhealthy competition among the private schools to get most number of students in the SLC board forced the government body to stop releasing the top 10 list of the students after 2061 Bikram Sambat (BS).

Barsha Rani Gurung crowned Miss Mangol 2010

Yet another beauty contest, Miss Mangol, was held in Nepal Academy Hall, Kamladi, Kathmandu last week (As reported previously; on March 20, 2009).

Barsha Rani Gurung was crowned this year’s Miss Mangol title on the event. The first ever Miss Mangol, Shristi Rajkarnikar (photo below), handed over the crown and responsibilities of the title to Barsha.

Former King Gyanendra Interview Video – Monarchy is not finished yet…

After three years of being a general public, former king Gyanendra has indicated that he can see his role widening in the country. Gyanendra thinks the people still love him and one day he will be a king again. When asked what might be the reason for the end of monarchy, Gyanendra told, “I think monarchy is not finished in first place…”.

To answer a question about his future plans, Gyanendra told, “Stay in Nepal, serve Nepal, serve Nepali. My plan was the same in the past and will be same in the future.”

Nikhil and Sanchita aren’t married, Kopila Upreti

Avenues TV has brought another version of the story of marriage between Nikhil Upreti and Sanchita Luitel. Avenues TV’s telephone interview with Kopila Upreti, Mrs. Nikhil Upreti, tells that the news is fake. She also told that she has talked with Nikhil Upreti about the news. According to Kopila, Nikhil will conduct a press conference on Sunday, when he returns from Mumbai, to reveal the reality. Nikhil and Kopila have a 6 month old child.

We also wish the news was fake and the married life of Kopila and Nikhil will continue till death do them part!

Nikhil and Sanchita married secretly

After much speculation and gossips, Nikhil Upreti and Sanchita Luintel have married at last. The media was kept is dark about the marriage for more than a year and Nikhil has finally revealed the truth while departing to Mumbai on March 14, 2010. Nikhil told, “Actually, it has already been 13 months since we got married.”

“We choose not to make it public as it is a private affair.”, he added. According to Saptahik weekly, Sanchita  also admitted the fact about the marriage.

Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala (1925-1010) passed away at his daughter’s home in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Girija Prasad Koirala, one of the greatest democratic leaders in Nepal, has long suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and he had fallen unconscious since early morning on Saturday.

Koirala has headed the country from the top post in the country five times since 1991.

TGIF gone bad: 300 students caught in Babylon Disco

It has been some time the kids enjoy the “Thank God It is Friday (TGIF)” parties every Friday, until the cops wanted to interfere today, March 19, 2010. More than300 students (313, to be exact) from 21 different colleges in the capital were arrested in Babylon Disco of Sundhara on Friday morning at 10 am. The Kathmandu police has started a series of raids on dance bars, discos and restaurants of the capital two days back. Last time police unearthed hidden dance bar, X Bar, in Sundhara and other dance bars on Wednesday.

The students caught in the raid were in their college and school uniforms when the police entered the bars accompanied by media persons. Students represented Sigma, Redhon, Youth Vision, Siddharth Banasthali, Golden Academy, Caspian, Prime, Nobel British Gurkha Academy and NCC among other colleges and schools in the capital. The discos usually organize such parties on Friday targeting students and encouraging to bunk classes to attend the parties, infamous with name TGIF.

The world's shortest person dies

NO, it is not Khagendra!

Before being replaced by Khagendra Thapa Magar, He Pingping, the current world’s shortest man died on the weekend at the age of 21.

Our heartfelt condolence to the soul of Pingping and his family!

The Guinness verification team gave a temporary registration to Khagendra and he will be officially registered as the shortest man of the world in Guinness World Records after six months when he turns 18. It is not clear whether somebody else will be the shortest person in the mean time, until Khagendra will officially take over.

Kumari of Patan taking SLC this year

School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam starts on March 25, 2010. This year, about 450,000 students are taking the exam and among them is Kumari, a girl worshipped as a Goddess in Nepali society.

The Kumari of Patan, Chanira Bajracharya, is only allowed to leave her room 19 times a year on certain festivals. That was the reason why the teachers from the local Vashara School have been visiting her to teach in her room for the last ten years. The SLC exam is also arranged such that she doesn’t need to go out of her house for the exam. The SLC exam controllers will go to her house to conduct exam of the single student.

Wanna Bid for Puskar Shah's stuffs?

Puskar travelled 150 countries on a bicycle and now the bicycle is on sale along with other stuffs like flags, soil, coins, post stamps, and beer caps. The auction of the stuffs he collected from different countries he visited will take place in United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwar.

Puskar had promised to carry flags of all the countries he visited to the top of the World – for which he needs cash. He needs about Rs. 4 million to climb the highest peak, Mount Everest, towards the royalty and other costs.
