Dashain is the biggest festival in Nepal. The festival is known for meeting family members, eating, playing and enjoying.
A lot of Nepali are working in foreign land and they can’t go back home in the festival, so some Nepali artists have gone to the foreign lands to make the foreign bound Nepali at home. Nepali movie ‘Maya Deu Jhai Bho’ is the presentation of Darshana Arts and it was released in both Nepali language and Bhojpuri language. The movie is presented by Deepak Adhikari (Gangaprasad).
On the Fulpati day of Dashain two movies of Rekha Thapa are releasing. Such a release of ‘Kali’ and ‘Damini’ at the same time can divide the viewers causing loss of revenue to both of them.
It seems, the clash in release is started when Rekha choose Chhabi Raj Ojha to distribute the movie. Before that, distributor Manoj Rathi was supposed to release the movie. Manoj Rathi group lost the right when Chhabi Raj Ojha entered the scene. After that, Manoj Rathi group purchased the rights of Bhojpuri film ‘Damini’ to release on the same date.
One of the most successful films of the current time, ‘Hostel’ makers have organized a success party in Kathmandu on the celebration of it’s 51 days in theater. According the the producer, Sunil Rawal, most of the film personalities, journalists and artists were invited to the party held at Siddhartha Party Palace in Banesowr.
At the time when most of the movies are not able to earn the cost, ‘Hostel’ has been able to be collect a good revenue.

After being removed from the candidate list, actor Bhuwan KC has released a press statement about his future direction. In the statement the CPN UML member and actor told that he will remain faithful to the party and support it in the election.
Right after Bhuwan was selected to represent the party in the election, the party members had started to protest his candidacy resulting on the withdrawal of his name from the election candidates. Before that, he had implied that he would join the rival RPP party if he wasn’t made a candidate in the election. Although the political move had convinced the leaders to offer him candidacy only to be withdrawn within a day of it’s publication.
At the time of the biggest festival in Nepal, Vijaya Dashami, two movies releasing on October 4 are mostly unheard of. The movies named ‘Papi Raat’ and ‘AK 47’ aren’t much advertised and aren’t expected to attract much audience.
‘Papi Raat’ was shot 2.5 years ago and features Sushil Chhetri, Sumina Ghimire , Saroj KC, Ramesh Budhathoki etc. The movie directed by Shyam KC is made under Jenim Films banner and produced by Yuvaraj Khatri. The movie features the music of Anand Khatri and choreography of Govinda Rai. The cinematographer of the movie is Shiva Dhakal.
Upcoming movie featuring ‘Maun’ actress Namrata Shrestha and Manisha Koirala‘s brother Siddhartha Koirala – ‘Megha’ is going to be released the 31st of January, 2014. The debut movie of director Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar is also made on her own story.
The director Samjhana told that the movie is made on the story of a married couple. With Namrata and Siddhartha, Raymond Das Shrestha is also featured in lead role.
After protests from the party workers, Bhuwan KC was removed from the CPN UML election candidate list. Although he was stated to represent party in Kathmandu constituency 1 in the initial list, he was removed after protest. In the final list, Bidhya Neupane will represent the party in the constituency.
In the similar manner, actress Rekha Thapa was also removed from the final candidate list of the CPN Maoist. When Rekha’s attempt to get ticket in Kathmandu failed, she was successful in getting the recommendation from Parsa district. But, in the final list she was replaced by Baliram Shah in Parsa 1 constituency.
Actor Bhuwan KC had joined party politics in hopes to win in an election and start his political career. Bhuwan has used all political tactics to win the CPN UML nomination.
In the nomination list of UML released on October 1, Bhuwan KC is named the candidate in Kathmandu 1 constituency.
