Trying to be the Donald Trump of Nepal, Binod Chaudhary

Binod Chaudhary is the only dollar-billionaire of Nepal who has been listed as one of the richest person in the world by Forbes magazine since 2013. The businessman is currently running for a political post through Nepal Congress party. There have been mixed reaction on Chaudhary’s political desire. Some say that he might be the Nepal’s version of US president Donald Trump. Others differ in their opinion.

Let ma analyze the difference and the similarities of the US President and Chaudhary:

Political Enemies : Trump is known for his attack towards his opponents. He is known to wage war against the main-stream US media like CNN and New York Times. Binod Chaudhary is exactly the opposite. He is soft spoken towards his opponents. He is a diplomatic businessman who doesn’t make any enemies at all.

Family Background – While Trump is the third generation of the Trump organization business family, Chaudhary is the second-generation in Chaudhary Group. It seems, Trump is more caple of taking risk (read that “huge risks”) whereas, Binod Chaudhary isn’t willing to take such risks.

Election 2017, No Gyanendra supporters? Komal Oli independent

The political parties and leaders have submitted their candidacy in the upcoming election in Nepal. I have compiled a list of location the top leaders of the country are contending in the election. A video report:

How Gyanendra is left alone in election?

Although Gyanendra had told that he was ready to take the leadership role, she hasn’t shown any sign of leadership. A leader is a person who consolidate people in a group and motivate it to follow him/her. But, Gyanendra isn’t seen doing that. It seems, he is doing the opposite. The party that supported him, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, got divided into two parties. One of them joined the ruling party, Nepali Congress and is running election in association with the party. Nepali Congress is one of the main force that had ended monarchy in Nepal.

Biography of Sher Bahadur Deuba, the 40th prime minister of Nepal

I have prepared a biography video of the prime minister of Nepal. Starting this week, I am planning to produce a biography video of a celebrity every week and publish on Sunday. There will be 52 biographies in a year. This week’s biography is of the new prime minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba. Watch the video first before reading the details of his life:

Who is Sher Bahadur Deuba?

From a simple family of a village in Dadeldhura, Sher Bahadur Deuba is one of the major political personality in Nepal. He started his political career as a student leader. In the start, Nepali Congress leader, BP Koirala, had supported Deuba in the party. After BP’s death Nepali Congress was led jointly by Ganesh Man Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and Girija Prasad Koirala. After the death of Ganesh Man and Krishna Prasad, Girija was the sole leader of the party. The only leader in the party to challenge Girija was Deuba. He managed to become Prime Minister despite Girija Prasad Koirala. It is believed that Girija was one of the forces behind the impeachment of Deuba in his first tenure as the prime minister.

Based on her actions these days, we can easily guess that actress Rekha Thapa is feeling insecure and impatient to to start something other than acting.

Actress Rekha Thapa

After enjoying a decade-long position of being top actress, she might be well aware that new actresses might dethrone her any time. That might be one of the reasons she was the only winners who didn’t attend the National Film Award ceremony. Rekha later accused the organizers of asking her money for the award.

After the National Award Ceremony Rekha had expressed her dissatisfaction of Garima Pant winning the Best Actress award in SAARC Film Festival and the National Film Award. Everybody needs a residence and a leader like Prachanda wouldn’t fit in a small house. At the same time, leaders needs to be transparent on everything they do and shouldn’t try to hide things specially related to financial dealings.

Prachanda’s son Prakash, in his Facebook post, told that the new residence is leased f
or Rs. 60,000 a month. The quoted lease amount is believed to be extremely cheap for such a building made on a land of three ropani. There was a rumor that the building wasn’t leased but purchased.
