Two streets in the USA are named after the highest mountain, Mt. Everest. One is in New York, Jackson Heights area and another in California.
The New York one was recently named. One of the Councillors of the city inaugurated the street. Nepali people in the area organized a street festival with various cultural programs. The Nepali ambassador and others were also present in the ceremony.

After 4 years of getting married, actor Aryan Sigdel and his wife are having their first child. The child is scheduled to deliver in the Nepali New Year 2076.
Aryan and his wife seem to be very excited on the coming of a new member in the family. Aryan shared an emotional photo collection showing the baby bump on his wife Sapana Bhandari.
In one of the photos, Aryan is showing a clapboard with the writing “Releasing The New Year 2076”. In another photo Aryan is sorting out baby clothes and in another he is seen kissing his wife’s belly and another with a surprise feeling when he listens to the baby inside. The photos are cute and interesting (attached below).

Film Director Subarna Thapa has married journalist Devaki Bista. The marriage ceremony was held in a private cremony held among firends and family members.
Directo Subarna is known for directing the movie ‘Soongava’, a movie made on lesbian love story. The movie featuring Nisha Adhikari and Deeya Maskey was liked by critics. The movie had won various international awards and was also sent to represent Nepal in Oscars. (Read more about the movie‘)
The director, Subarna Thapa has been living in France for quite some time. He had also directed other movies like ‘Fanko’ and ‘Bato Muniko Phool 2’. Thapa has also directed a number of short films.

Pradeep Khadka and Jassita Gurung starrer film ‘Love Station’ is not yet released in theatre. Only the trailer of the film is released. But, based on the scenes in the film, it is highly likely that the movie is an actual copy of this Turkish film, titled ‘Her Sey Asaktan’.
The trailer starts with actress Jassita Gurung coming out of ‘Love Station Restaurant and Lounge’. The character Gurung is featured in is alarmed by the sound of horn of a car. The reaction of Jassita is exact copy of a scene in ‘Her Sey Asaktan’. It is not only the scene, the vehicle Pradeep is driving and that in the Turkish film is of similar design.
Based on this scene, it is clear that the director has copied it in the Nepali film. It is highly likely that the whole film is copied from the movie.
I think, the original scene is more seasoned and better presented than the Nepali version. Although the dialogue delivery seems okey, the scene execution is somewhat sloppy in the Nepali movie.

To mark the 109th International Women Day, the programs was held in the capital on March 8. The event was inaugurated by Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Tham Maya Thapa, the program was organized by Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu on Friday.
The song was chosen tp matches with the theme of the International Women’s Day 2019: Think equal, build smart, innovate for change.

The sequel of Namrata Shrestha and Aryan Sigdel film ‘Mero Euta Sathi Chha’ is in making. The new movie will be directed by the assistant director of the original film – Dinesh Raut.
The original film, released in 2009, was directed by Sudarshan Thapa. The movie was the debut film of the director who is also considered one of the most successful directors of the Nepali film industry. Dinesh Raut was his assistant in the film. Dinesh later directed superhit films like November Rain, Classic and Prasad. Actress Namrata Shrestha is the actress of his choice in his films. Namrata was featured in all of his films including not-so-successful’Parva’. In the initial movies, Aryan was featured opposite to Namrata but, he has dropped Aryan in the last couple of films – ‘Parva’ and ‘Prasad’.
According to reports, Raut is yet to official sign the agreement. Other artists in the movie are also not finalized. Based on the past films, Namrata Shrestha is expected to be featured in the leading role in the sequel of her own film.
In the ofirinal movie Namrata was featured opposite to Aryan Sigdel. Other artists in the movie were Jiwan Luitel, Dayahang Rai, Jenisha Moktan and Sushma Karki. Sushma Karki was the girlfriend of the director Sudarshan Thapa at that time. Now, Sushma and Sudarshan have broken up and there are rumours of Sudarshan’s affair with another actress Pooja Sharma.

This is not the first time the rumour of the making of the movie has surfaced. In 2015, Aaryan Sigdel Films had announced the making of the film. But, the movie didn’t go to floor and it was shelved.
The original movie was not an original story. It is a copy of a Korean film named ‘A Millionaire’s First Love’ (the producers and directors however haven’t disclosed the fact.)
It is a surprising turn in the story of Little Buddha, Buddha Boy, Ram Bahadur Bomjon. After an extensive search of his residence and Ashrams, the police hasn’t been able to locate Bomjon. His followers claim the he is in Sindhuli Ashram. But, the police hasn’t meet the illusive Dharma guru.

The marriage ceremony between actress Barsha Raut and Sanjog Koirala was held at Hotel Raddison. The event was held among close friends and families. No media was allowed to record the wedding. Only the official photographers and videographers were allowed to record the event.

Previously, actress Nisha Adhikari had done similar wedding. No media was allowed in the marriage ceremony either.
Prior to the marriage, the new couple were preparing for the big day on Valentine Day. On Feb 12, they performed the engagement ceremony. The event was also a private function with close friends and family members.
On February 13, there was a Mehandi ceremony amongst Barsha’s close friends. Present in the ceremony was actress Priyanka Karki.

Ko Banchha Crorepati is a new Nepali television show – a franchise game show based on the British reality TV Show – Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
The show was premiered on 2 February 2019 on AP1 Television and is scheduled to run for 52 episodes. The host Rajesh Hamal has changed his getup by cutting his hair short for the show. The question-answer contestant awards 1 crore (10 million) Nepali rupees to the person who can answer all the question in a particular episode.

Nikita has resigned from the Film Development Board to start working in a hospital in Remote Karnali region. This is a social work to be built under a newly formed Rabi Lamichhane foundation. The hospital named Raskot Community Hospital was announced in January – right after Rabi and Nekita got married.
Rabi Lamichhane is a Nepalese television presenter who set the world record for hosting the longest-ever television talk show. He is affiliated with News24 Television and the interview show was telecasted in April 2013.
