4 years of Shree Krishna death, Shweta has recovered

It has been 4 years since Shree Krishna Shrestha has died. Shree’s widow, actress Shweta Khadka had gone thought a very tough time of mourning. She had remained ‘unconscious’ for the first six months. After that she started treatment and got a little better after she went to the USA for the treatment.

She has forgotten to smile. It took her more than a year to regain the smile. In the beginning it looked like a fake smile. These days, she has learnt to be happy.

Now, after 4 years, Shweta has acted in ‘Kanchhi’ and produced the film. The viewers had also liked the movie and Shweta has now become the actress that Shree Krishna made her.

The leader Lhendup Dorjee is accused of selling Sikkim to India. Lhendup acted according to the Indian master plan and helped in abolishing monarchy from the small country and handed the country over to India. In return he became the first Chief Minister of the new state of India.

Anand Karki wife life threatening illness

One of the well known personality of Nepali musical industry is facing a pain – his wife is going through a life threatening illness. For the last nine years, Karki’s wife Ishwori Karki was going trough diabetes. Now, after being diagnosed in India it i revealed he has a bigger problem – both of her kidneys have failed.

Karki coupole complained that the Nepali doctors hadn’t clearly told about the problem and had to face a lot of difficulties in the diagnosis. It seems Karki couple are another victim of the commercialism of the medical field in Nepal. They complain that the doctors were more focused on selling more drugs than treating the illness.

Ishwori is being treated with dialysis. She needs a kidney transplantation operation to be saved from the illness. The couple is seeking help from his friends and families and have also asked help from his fans for the help in the treatment.

Tattoos are painful to start. May be the pain and the possibility of expressing oneself through the art are the main reasons people ink their bodies. These days, tattoo are quite popular among the youths and middle-aged people. A lot of Nepali artists, including actresses are getting new tattoos on them. The latest in the group of actresses are Samragyee RL Shah, Sweta Khadka, Pooja Sharma, Poojana Pradhan, Sagun Shahi, Namrata Sapkota and others. Actress Priyanka Karki inked herself during her college days in USA.

Some people cringe when they see tattoos on sensitive parts of their bodies and other prefer to show off their artistic nature by inking in such body parts. Miss Bhutan US 2018 is Suchita Padhan, why does she looks like a Nepali? (Video)

Actress Priyanka Karki rushed to the USA to choreograph the contestants of Miss Bhutan US 2018 right after she got engaged to Ayushman Desraj Joshi. The preparation of the contestants for the finale was rushed and done in a hurry. So, the performance of the contestants wasn’t as good as expected.

Priyanka told in her instagram that the contestant number 8, Suchita Pradhan has won the title. The details of the runner-up is not available yet and the winners aren’t officially announced at the time of this writing. I will update this post as soon as the official announcement is done.

Priyanka Karki bikini avatar in USA, Miss Bhutan USA

Actress Priyanka Karki went to the USA right after the engagement. In fact, she has postponed the ticket to accommodate the engagement with her boyfriend, Ayushman Desraj Joshi.

Now, she is choreographing the contestants of Miss Bhutan USA 2018. While training the contestants, she had enjoyed some time at the swimming pool and shared some hot swim suit photos. Here are some of the photos she has shared in her Instagram post.

Priyanka Karki to change her name to Priyanka Joshi, engaged to Ayushman Desraj Joshi

Actress Priyanka Karki and actor and model Ayushman Desraj Joshi have engaged on Saturday July 14th, 2018 in a private function. The engagement ceremony was unannounced and a surprise event for all except their family members. The mother of Ayushman, Raveena Desraj Shrestha, was the first person to release the photos of the engagement in her Instagram and Facebook. Priyanka and Ayushman did the same by sharing the same photos in their Instagram accounts.

Dhirendra Shah every Friday, why?

It has almost two months I have been talking about the ex-prince of Nepal, Dhirendra Shah. I started by talking about why he was the most unlucky prince in the Nepali Royal family. When I started making the video, I had no idea about Dhirendra. Except for a few rumours about his involvement in Namita – Sumita kanda and a little hint of his involvement in smuggling. When I heard about such rumours, all I knew was he was one of the family members of the Nepali royalty.

Why Dhirendra?

I was studying about the Royal Massacre of 2001 to write a book about the incident. Then I found out there were a lot of books on the subject. The book is still half-way and I am planning to complete the book next year. During the study I came across an article in ‘Himal’ magazine. The following photo (and, its caption) created a pity on Dhirendra.

This photo has every Royal family members except for Dhirendra. The prince was left alone in foreign land because of his affair with a foreigner. I decided to do a little research on the person. He seem like a really interesting guy – probably a very unhappy prince. Then, I decided, I would do a series on him.

Namrata Shreshta or Deepa Shree Niraula, who is better?

Deepa Shree Niraula is at least 15-17 years older than Namrata Shrestha. But, when acting is concerned, they both debuted in a same movie – ‘Sangini’. Actress Namrata Shrestha was featured as a child artist in that movie, the childhood version of actress Rupa Rana. She later grows up to romance with Saroj Khanal (by character played by Rupa Rana). Deepa Shree Niraula is featured as another leading actress, who also romances with actor Saroj Khanal.

When Namrata debuted in the triangular love story movie, she was in grade 1. As a child artist she has a short role but she has shown ample talent to be a successful actress. By comparison, the child, Namrata had preformed better than Deepa Shree at that time. That might be the reason Deepa Shree couldn’t become an actress. She failed to impress the film maker and decided to focus more on stage shows and comedy program in radio and TV. Deepa found Deepak Raj Giri and they establish themselves as one of the most successful partner in the film industry. These days, Deepa is one of the most successful film director.

Can Himani correct the Spoiled prince Paras ?

Everybody knows – Paras Shah is a spoiled prince (an ex-prince to be politically correct although there are still some people who prefer to call him a prince.) I prepared a biography video of Paras a while ago. The video got almost 900K views in a year. That is an indication that he still has the charm of the royalty – he is still a celebrity.

Paras wasn’t born to be a crown prince. His father wasn’t born to be a king. But, luck made Gyanendra a king of Nepal – twice in his lifetime. The first time he became the king he was a child. The four-year-old king didn’t get India’s approval and was dethroned when his grand father – King Tribhuwan returned back from exile in India.

The second time he became lucky again. When all the family members of King Birendra were killed in the 2001 royal massacre, Gyanendra was crowned the new king in the year. Gyanendra waited a few months before announcing his son, Paras, the crown prince. But, Paras’s dream to become the king of Nepal was cut-short when monarchy was abolished in 2008.

New Twist in Shrisha Karki case – Uddhav Bhandari committed suicide in UK

One of the most sad moment in the Nepali film industry was in 2002 when actress Shrisha Karki committed suicide over a photo published in a weekly tabloid – ‘Jana Aastha’. The whole film industry was shocked by the extreme action taken by the aspiring actress and everybody accused the journalist of causing the distress to the actress.

Case was filed against the chief editor of the newspaper – Kishor Shrestha and two writers mentioned in the news article. But, they all got cleared because the case wasn’t prepared well. None of the accused were punished for the action. The newspaper editor, Kishor Shrestha, later told that the photo of the actress was taken by a police officer and given to them. Everybody believed the police officer, Uddhav Bhandari, was the main culprit.

But, when I went back to the case and did a little research – the truth seem to be something else. It seems, Uddhav Bhandari was used by the journalist just to make a case. It seems, Bhandari doesn’t have anything to do with the case.

Truth of Shrisha Karki suicide case of 2002, was it a fake news?

Actress Shrisha Karki committed suicide in August of 2002 after a photo was published in a tabloid, ‘Jana Aastha’. The death of the 24-years old actress shocked the entire film industry. The film artists went to streets with demand to arrest and prosecute the journalist who published the photo in the newspaper. The editor of the weekly, Kishor Shrestha, went into hiding and everybody was looking for him. People vandalized the newspaper office. It was one of the very bad incident in the history of the Nepali film industry. But, nobody was arrested or prosecuted.

It has been 16 years of the incident – in 2018, the journalist, Kishor Shrestha is the acting chief of the official media watchdog of the Nepal Government, Press Council Nepal.

Rabi Lamichhane to be arrested, deported? (Video update)

According to the letter written by the Immigration Department of the Home Ministry, well known journalist Rabi Lamicchane is living in Nepal as a foreigner on a non-tourist, family visa. According to the terms of the visa, he is not allowed to work and being paid for the work. The letter has quoted the Immigration By-Law that prohibits the bearer of the visa to work in a paid job. And, the bearer of the visa is not allowed to do jobs that are not permitted by the by-law.
