An event was held in Kathmandu to spread the message that Buddha Was Born in Nepal. In the event participated by 75,000 people recited the teaching of Buddha. That was an attempt to break a similar World Record set by a similar group event in which 54,666 people had recited a poem in India.

This is not the first time such events are held in Nepal. A couple of years ago, a similar event was held to create a human image of Buddha.

Like previous years, I am sharing the video and photos of the celebration of the festival of colour, Holi. This year, Holi programs were held in various parts of Kathmandu. Bollywood actress Sridevi has been cremeted in Mumbai. Her husband Boney Kapoor torched the dead body of the first female superstar of the Indian cinema industry, Bollywood. The last rituals was conducted by the priests from Tamil Nadu. During the last rituals, Bollywood celebriteis like Shah Rukh Khan, Sunil Setty, Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Sabana Azami, Karan Johar etc.
During the last ritual, full makeup was done on Sridevi and she was dressed in bridal dress. The truck that carried Sridevi’s body was covered on white flower. In the truck, her husband Boney Kapoor, son Arjun Kapoor, daughters Janvi Kapoor and Khusi Kapoor and her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor were present. For the last goodbye, a huge crowd of her fans were present on the route the truck was driven. The roads were filled with her fans. The police had to use force at places to control the crowd. I have compiled a video of the Holi celebration of Rekha Thapa from 2010 to the last year’s Holi, Holi 2016. As the Holi 2017 is approaching (the festival is on March 12, 2017) I looked back to the history and compiled the list so that I can update it with the new information on the current Holi. I will share the updated video on or after March 12. The following video lists:
Rekha Thapa’s Holi in 2010 – Fun filled Holi celebration with Ayush Rijal at Namaste Nepal. That was before Rekha divorced Chhabi Raj Ojha.
Holi in 2011 – Video and photos of the celebration at Karishma’s home at Godawari. Almost all the celebrities in the Nepali film industry had gathered in the holi celebration.
Holi in 2012 – Video of Rekha dancing with others while Rajesh Payal Rai sang.
Holi in 2013 – Holi celebration with ‘Hamesha’ actor Sabin Shrestha and others.
Holi in 2014 – This year, Rekha Thapa was busy in the shooting of ‘Himmatwali’. One of the songs in movie was shot during Holi featuring holi colours.
Holi in 2015 – Rekha celebrated Holi with actresses Priyanka Karki and Keki Adhikari at Red Studio.
Holi in 2016 – At that time, Rekha was promoting her movie ‘Rampyari’. So, she participated in almost all of the major Holi celebration parties in Kathmandu to promote her movie. She also went to Karishma’s residence, Red Studios and other places.

Actress Priyanka Karki turned 31 years old on Feburay 27, 2018. After winning Miss Teen 2015 title, Priyanka decided to devote her life to the entertainment industry. She went to the USA for film studies and returned back to act in movies. Although she had acted in TV serials like ‘Gharbeti Ba’, she debuted in films after she returned back from the USA.

There are good foods, bad foods, local foods, international foods and they have various grades. So, I am going through what types food are available in Pokhara and where they are available. There are restaurants in every corner of the city. All varieties of restaurants are available at touristic locations like Baidam, Lakeside and Damside. That is the tourist district along the north shore of the Fewa lake
The area is mainly made up of small shops, non-star tourist hotels, restaurants, and bars. Better hotels are located at the southern shore of the Lake and southeastern side of the city where there are more open lands and unhindered view of the surrounding mountains are available.

Most of the tourists who visit Pokhara also trek to the Annapurna Base Camp and Mustang. The east end of the Pokhara valley, in Lekhnath municipality, there are seven smaller lakes such as Lake is known for its fishery projects.

The organizers of the Da-bangg Tour Nepal 2018 were stressed out when popular actresses like Priyanka Karki, Swastima Khadka and ‘Thamel Bazaar ‘ dancer Alisha Rai refused to dance in Salman Khan’s concert. The organizers have convinced Sushma Karki and Mala Limbu to dance in the stage in the program. In addition to the actresses two singers including Rajesh Payal Rai have agreed to sing in the program.

After the movie ‘Kri’ recovered the investment, the lead actors of ‘Kri’, Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki have taken a break from the promotion activities of the movie. While Anmol KC has gone to Jungle Safari in Chitwan with his sister Kajal KC, Aditi has returned back to Mumbai.

The vehicle Takme Budha, Wilson Bikram Rai, met with a dangerous accident in Morang. Takme Budha was returning from Madhumalla Mahotsab at Morang to Birtamod at around 12 AM on Tuesday. According to producer and actor Rajesh Ghatani, the accident was caused by a stray dog. The vehicle lost control when, the driver, Wilson tried to save the dog on road.
In the accident, the vehicle Hyundai I-10, BA 17 Cha 1902 overturned beside the road. In addition to Wilson and Ghatani, there were Bishal Limbu, Yukesh Limbu, Samil Rai and child artist Jeshika Rai. Everybody safe although the vehicle sustained damage and was overturned, landing on the roof. See the following photo:
Yes, comedy actor Deepak Raj Giri is now related to the mayor of Bidur Municipality by a marriage. I hope the marriage ceremony won’t be a secret event this time as it was in the case of his son.
The elder daughter of comedy actor, writer and producer Deepak Raj Giri, Mausami Giri is going to get married on February 23, 2018. Mausami got engaged to her boyfriend Sushil Pandey in a family event on February 7.

Shweta Khadka organized a musical night titled ‘Kanchhi Musical Night’ for the fund raising of the Majhi Basti, being constructed in Sindhupalchowk. The residential area is being developed by Shweta Shree Foundation, a foundation registered in memory of actor Shree Krishna Shresta. Shree had died a month after marrying Shweta.

Karishma Manandhar celebrated her birthday three days ago, on February 4. According to my calculation, she has turned 48 years old – almost half-a-century. But, when you look at the following photo, taken today at Kanchhi Musical Night event, you will be surprised by her beauty and fashion sense.
I think, it was a huge blunder – a move probably bring down the high expectation of the viewers from the movie.
The movie ‘Kri’ is releasing this week.
Last week, Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki flew to Scotland for the shooting of a song.
It seems, the travel was more for Bhuwan KC and his girlfriend Jiya KC than the movie. According to a photo Anmol KC shared, they had met Bhuwan’s first wife, Bijaya Malla KC and his daughter Kajal KC in Europe. (watch the following video report)
The trailer of the movie was huge success although, there were accusation of stealing contents from Hindi movies.
The first song of the movie ‘Yeti Yeti Pani’ was also a huge success.
The second song will probably be successful because of the hype created by Anmol KC, trailer and previous song. But, when quality is considered – the voice doesn’t fit Anmol.
The second song was released 3 days before the film’s release, in a program held in Kathmandu. The song features Rodit Bhandari’s voice, Rodit’s lyrics and his music in association with Bishesh Pandey.
The song was shot in 3 days, video edited and released in another three days.
Few questions:
Was the release of the song necessary? Was it released to cool down the popularity and high expectation of viewers?
Was it done for an advertisement of a product Anmol is promoting? There is an advertisement board in the song – for a product featuring Anmol with Samragyee in the background of a scene featuring Anmol andAditi. Anmol was reportedly paid Rs. 10 lakhs to be featured in that ad.
The video is good but the voice of the singer doesn’t seem to fit Anmol. May be it was because the editing of the video was done in a hurry?
