Rekha Thapa promotes Rampyari in Malaysia, sings Arko Juni Kunni

Actress Rekha Thapa has finally participated in a program in Malaysia after three years of canceling her participation in the last minute. Rekha has visited Malaysia this year with her mother and her elder sister to participate in Friendship Dhamaka – 7. In the event running from February 6 to February 10, other artists including actor Sunil Thapa, actor Dinesh Thapa, singer Parmod Kharel, music video director Shiva BK, actor Kishor Bhandari, actress Reshma Timilsina and others are participating.

In the first of the series of the shows, Rekha Thapa had performed the song she had composed herself for her upcoming movie ‘Rampyari’. The song titled ‘Arko Juni Kunni…’ was liked by the audience.

Rekha Thapa breaks Malaysia promise for the third time, Karishma replaces her

It has been three times Rekha Thapa has missed participating in the cultural program organized by Nepali living in Malaysia. This year, Rekha had promised to participate in the Friendship Dhamaka 2015 but cancels her participation as the time nears.

Last year, in 2014, Rekha didn’t go to Malaysia to participate in the NEFTA Award at the last minute. According to reports, Rekha didn’t go when bargaining for the Best Actress Award failed.

In 2013, Rekha didn’t go to ‘Remix Dhamaka 5’ as promised. Rekha was highly criticized and the organizers were very worried for Rekha’s irresponsible behavior.

Now, it has been a hat-rick of Rekha’s being irresponsible to the Nepali people in Malaysia three years in row. Will they forgive her, only time will tell. Now, the organizers are greteful to actress Karishma Manandhar for agreeing to participate in the program in place of Rekha.

Mistake charity shows to be held in Singapore and Malaysia to help earthquake victims

A premier show of upcoming movie ‘Mistake’ is being held in Malaysia and Singapore to help earthquake victims. The shows will be held in two locations in Malaysia and one location in Singapore.

The movie released in November of 2014 had an average performance in theater.

A presentation of RB movies, ‘Mistake’ is a movie produced by Bishnu Atharai and made on the story and direction of Rishi Raj Acharya. The movie veatures Nirmal Century, Harshika Shreshta, Sushant Karki, Shree Raj Acharya, Rama Singh and others. The charity shows are being organized by E4 Entertainment.

Artists arrive in Malaysia for Ncell event

Two actress, three singers and a comedy actor have arrived in Malaysia for the ncell event to be held there on Feburary 19, 20 and 21. The actresses Priyanka Karki and Deepa Shree Niraula are accompanied by actor Deepak Raj Giri. Singers include Sunita Dulal, Khuman Adhikari and Shiva Pariyar.

NEFTA Award – Aryan Sigdel and Richa Sharma awarded best actors, Kathmandu declared the best movie

In the film award ceremony held in Malaysia, actor Aryan Sigdel won the best actor award from the movie ‘Mero Love Story’. In actress category, the best actress award was awarded to Richa Sharma from the same movie. The best movie award and the best director award was awarded to ‘Kathmandu’ and it’s director Aakash Adhikari respectively.

Actor Nir Shah was honored by ‘Abhinaya Shiromani’ award in the event.

Artists arrive in Malaysia to participate in NEFTA Film Award

Nepali film related personalities have arrived to participate in one of the biggest Nepali film event in it’s 50-years-old history. The artists participating in the event are near 100 in number including most of the well known actors and technicians. NEFTA film award is going to be held on January 31, 2014.

The participants of NEFTA film award have already reached Malaysia. Some of the well known actors in the ceremony include Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, Namrata Shreshta, Saujanya Subba, Neeta Dhungana, Benisha Hamal, Richa Sharma, Harshika Shrestha, Pooja Sharma, Aryan Sigdel, Saugat Malla, Samyam Puri, Gajit Bista, Sraj Garach, Nir Shah, Ujjwal Ghimire, Dinesh DC, Aakash Adhikari, Suraj Subba, Suresh Adhikari, Rajesh Payal Rai, Nischal Basnet, Sudarsan Thapa, Dinesh Raut, and Gobind Rai. Rekha Thapa didn’t go to Malaysia, again – due to the failure of Best Actress award bargaining

It seems, actress Rekha Thapa has promised not to go to Malaysia again. It has been the second time Rekha has refused to go there on the last minute. Last year, Rekha had agreed to participate in Remix Dhamaka 5 and canceled her trip on the last minute. This time, she did the same by refusing to go to the NEFTA film award to be held there.

 

According to the sources close to Rekha, she had refused to go when the organizers weren’t willing to award her the Best Actress award. Rekha was trying to convince the organizers that she was the best actress in the film industry, until the last minute.

100 artists expected to participate in NEFTA award in Malaysia

The 2014 edition of a film award being organized by Nepal Film Technician Association, NEFTA, is going to be held in Malaysia on January 31. This is the first time the ceremony is changing venue, that too in a foreign country, as all the past five editions of the award were held in Soltae Hotel.

Some of the artists participating in the cultural shows in the ceremony are being trained by Gobind Rai. Some of the artists being trained include Nandita KC, Harshika Shrestha, Keki Adhikari, Benisha Hamal, Nilima Sharma and others. Film journalists Suman Gaire and Bijaya Awaj are also planning to dance with Benisha Hamal in the ceremony. The reharshal is expected to wrap up on January 23.
