Promotional social work, Hostel Returns for Education

The producer of â€˜Hostel Returnsâ€™, Durgish Films has announced plans to help the children of remote Nepal in their education. According to the producer Sunil Racal, he is planning to help the student by supplying education materials and scholarships to the students. He told that the up to the college level students will be assisted in the â€˜Hostel Returns for Educationâ€™ campaign.

To promote the campaign, the film production team is planning to visit remote places in Nepal and promote the movie.

Hostel returns is scheduled to release in theatre on Baisakh 25. A part of the money collected from the screening will also be used in the campaign. A sequel of â€˜Hostelâ€™, new movie â€˜Hostel Returnsâ€™ is directed by Suraj Bhusal and features Sushil Shrestha and Shashi Shrestha in leading roles. The movie is made on the story of engineering students living in college hostel.

Dhun director announce second movie, Satya

Even before the release of the first movie, the director of upcoming movie ‘Dhun,’ Krishna Poudel, has announced a new movie ‘Satya’. The director started the music recording in a studio in Kathmandu. The producers of the movie ‘Satya’ are journalist Raghunath Sapkota and an unnamed NRN.

‘Satya’ will feature actors Jiwan Luitel and Barsha Siwakoti in leading role. As Jiwan is in the USA now, he is yet to sign the contract. The movie is being made on the story of Krishna Acharya, music of Bikash Chaudahary and Rajesh Payal Rai will be one of the singers. Rajesh Payal Rai recorded a song titled ‘Malai Man Paryo …’ in the studio.

After Thailand, Niraj Baral’s next movie to be shot in the USA

Well known actor Niraj Baral debuted as a producer in ‘Stupid Man’. The movie fully shot in Thailand was released in October last year. Niraj’s next movie is also going to be shot in foreign soil. This time, it is the USA.

The movie to be made on the story of the Nepali students living in the USA will feature Niraj in the leading role. Other artists are yet to be finalized. Although the preparation has started the shooting of the unnamed movie will take at least six months to commence. Niraj is planning to start the shooting in Bhadra, 2072.

Australia rights of Woda No. 6 sold for Rs. 1.5 million

The producers of their upcoming movie ‘Woda No. 6’, actor Deepak Raj Giri and actress Deepa Shree Niraula are currently in Australia to participate in cultural events. During the stage show program, they have also managed to do business deals for the movie. Deepa and Deepak have told that they have made an agreement with Khilendra Timilsina to show the movie in Australia.

The agreement to show the movie in Australia is valued at Rs. 1.5 million. In similar earlier agreement, the production team had sold the out-of-Kathmandu rights of the movie to FD Company for a minimum of Rs. 3.5 million. The movie currently in post-production is expected to follow the hit previous movie by the same production team, ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here).

Saugat Bista offered Rs. 350k scholarship in his school

The Guinness World Records holder for being the youngest movie director, Saugat Bista, has been offered a full scholarship in the school he is going now. The grade 2 student, Saugat, will be able to study till grade 10 for free from the Rs. 350,000 scholarship offered by Suryodaya Secondary School.

Laxya Bahadur KC, the school principal, has told that he and the school is proud of Saugat for his extraordinary job.

Rajesh Hamal and Madhu Bhattarai heads to USA

The Rajesh Hamal couple has left for the USA to participate in a NRN conference. The Hamal couple’s honeymoon plan right after their marriage was foiled when Madhu couldn’t get the visa. They went to Pokhara instead.

That was not the only canceled plan of US visit, another plan was canceled because the shooting schedule conflicted with their planned travel. This time, when Turkish Airlines aircraft disrupted the international airlines, Hamal was concerned and expressed his happiness when it was cleared.

Actor and model CK Singh marrying Priti Singh, a dowry-less marriage

Actor and model Dr. CK Singh is marrying Priti Singh of Janakpur. The marriage is different than other such marriages in Terai regions. In the marriage Dr. Singh will not accept any dowry.

Dr. Singh is one of the goodwill ambassadors of a NGO fighting against child marriage and dowry tradition, BHORE. In one of the programs to create awareness against dowry system, Dr. Singh had promised not to take any dowry in his marriage. He kept his promise and has convinced his family and his to-be-wife’s family to perform dowry-less marriage.

In the beginning, both parties were not happy when he refused to accept dowry. It was not easy to continence them but, his reasoning worked and Dr. Singh and Priti are ready to marry on April 22, 2015.

Although the marriage ceremony was held on March 12, but it took a few days before she decided to release the news. The shooting of a new movie titled ‘Kafal Pakyo’ has finished and the dubbing is in its last stage. The movie produced and directed by Sabitri KC features actor Jiwan Luitel and Barsha Raut in leading roles. The movie is an entertaining love story movie.

The director has chosen an odd name ‘Kafal Pakyo’ for a movie. Explaining the meaning of the name, the director KC says that a bird says Kafal Pakyo during the time it is searching for a mating partner in spring time. The movie is about a love story of a village guy and a city girl.

This Friday on March 14, 2015 two new Nepali movies are releasing on theater – Subash Meche‘s action movie ‘Killa’ and Rishi Neupane‘s movie ‘Josh’. Both the movies are action themed movie and are targeted towards the similar movie audiences. Both the movies feature dancer Priya Rijal in their respective item dances.

The movie made on the story of a person who controls a certain area is the movie ‘Killa’. Rajesh Hamal to participate in NRN program in USA, wife Madhu Bhattarai accompany

Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal and his wife Madhu Bhattarai are visiting USA on the invitation of NRN USA. The NRN program is scheduled to be held from March 20 to 22 in Washington DC. To participate in the program Rajesh and Madhu are leaving Nepal on March 16.

When the Turkish Airlines aircraft was removed from the runway on March 8, Rajesh Hamal had expressed his happiness by writing "Khulyo Khulyo Intl. Airport khulyo. Timro mero yatra khulyo…finally Turkish plane is out of the way."

Last time when Rajesh Hamal went to the USA, he couldn’t take his wife Madhu Bhattarai with him. At that time they didn’t have time for the visa application so, Hamal had to go alone. The second opportunity of Rajesh Hamal’s visit was canceled because of the shooting of a South Indian movie ‘Bagmati’. This time, they have planned the trip well ahead and they are finally flying together to the USA.

Hawaldar Suntali song writer Dinesh Subedi accused of child rape

The writer of a popular song of an upcoming movie, ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ has been accused of raping a child in the school he teaches. According to a report in Seto Pati online newspaper, Dinesh Subedi is accused of raping a grade 4, 9-years-old child in the school he teaches.

Subedi, a teacher of Seti Ganesh High School in Daman, Palung had raped the child and was trying to convince the child keep silent. When the parents of the child knew about the crime, the villagers tried to kill Subdei before police took him under their control. While trying to save Subedi, the uniform of one of the police officer was also torn.
