Samragyee RL Shah overtook Jassita Gurung to sign in Rato Tika Nidharma

The producer of upcoming Dashain movie ‘Rato Tika Nidharma’, Ashok Sharma, had approached Jassita Gurung for the role. The actress of ‘Lily Bily’ and ‘Love Station’ demanded Rs. 10 lakh for the role. While bargaining for the price, the team has signed in Samragyee RL Shah for the role. In a report, Samragyee was paid higher amount, Rs. 16 lakh for the role.

One of the most popular actress in the Nepali film industry, Samragyee is also one of the busiest actress currently. Samragyee was shooting Nawal Nepal’s ‘Maruni’. In the mean-time she has also signed in ‘Subha Biwaha’ of Hemraj BC. In the movie, Samragyee will romance with Pradeep Khadka. The shooting of the movie however has delayed a while. Right after the completion of ‘Maruni’ Samragyee will start the shooting of ‘Rato Tika Nidharma’.

Samragyee and Pradeep Khadka most popular actors at FAAN Award (watch winning films)

Popular actors among the youth, Pradeep Khadka and Samragyee RL Shah were awarded the Star of the Year at the FAAN Award 2073. This was the second edition of the film award ceremony organized by Film Artists Association of Nepal. In last year’s award, actor Anmol KC was awarded the artist of the year award.

Prime minister KP Sharma Oli had handed over the award certificated to the winners in an event held in Kathmandu on March 30, 2018.

Samragyee’s upcoming movie ‘Timi Sanga’ is releasing on Chaitra 23 and ‘Lily Billy’ of Pradeep Khadka is releasing the next week, on Chatria 30. After receiving the award Pradeep Khadka waited for Samragyee to receive her award and they posed together asking the photographers to take their photos.

Actress Samragyee RL Shah and actor Aryan Sigdel are currently in Philippines shooting for their upcoming movie ‘Kayara’. Samragyee reportedly was paid a whooping Rs. 10 lakh – a new high to be paid to an actress in the Nepali film industry.

The details of the movie ‘Kayara’ is not available. It seems Aryan is featured as a singer or musician. In one of the photos, Aryan has a tattoo of a guitar on his neck. They seem to be shooting in sea shore and island.

Samragyee has reached London for a 5-days shooting schedule. Sharing the news, Samragyee shared a photo of her boarding pass for the Helsinki to London flight.

After Samragyee returns back from London, she is scheduled to fly to Philipines for the shooting of another movie ‘Kayara’. The flight is told to be scheduled after 8 days of her travel to UK.

Samragyee’s boyfriend arrested when Marshmello didn’t show up at Club Deja Vu

A huge unrest occurred when the US DJ, Marshmello, didn’t show up in the scheduled show held at Club Deja Vu.

UPDATE – The owners of the club are arrested on the complaint that they organizers sold 7000 tickets for the event that is held at a night club with capacity 3,500. The organizers are also accused of the lack of the security at the venue. The police has told that they are not investigating about whether Marshmello came in Nepal or not. The organizers claim that the DJ had arrived in Nepal but couldn’t arrive at the venue because of the sickness. They say, he returned back the next day. But, as nobody has seen the real face of Marshmello, one can’t say if he had come to Nepal or not.

What had happened?

  • People paid Rs. 3000 to Rs. 5000 for the ticket to enjoy the DJing of US DJ, Marshmello in Kathmandu.
  • The show was scheduled on 13 December, 2017. People were eagerly waiting for the arrival of Marshmello. But, he didn’t show up and the organizers were telling that Marshmello is on his way.
  • But, at around 2:00 AM of the next day, the organizers announced the cancellation of the show. It turned out, Marshmello hadn’t arrived in Nepal at all.
  • People got pissed off. They started throwing beer cans and bottles towards the stage. Soon, the people started breaking things.
  • The police and the security guards couldn’t do anything.

Actress Samragyee RL Shah is currently in Australia for the premier of her second movie, ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ with the director and producer of the movie, Jharana Thapa. The red attire Samragyee wore in the premier of the show made news for it boldness. Samragyee has also recently shared some swimsuit poses. The bikini avatar is probably the first such pose of the actress.

The high-rated actress of the current time, Samragyee is also one of the highest paid actress in the film industry. Samragyee was reportedly paid Rs. 500,000 for the role she did in her second movie ‘A Mero Hajur 2’. Recently she was reportedly paid twice that amount in her upcoming movie with Aryan Sigdel. Although Samragyee refused to confirm or deny the amount, she had confirmed she was considering doing the movie. Samragyee debuted in Bhuwan KC’s movie ‘Dreams’ opposite to Anmol KC. Origin of Navel Piercing, did Himani get the idea from ancient Hindu literature?

I wrote about the navel piercing among Nepali actresses and the ex-princess, Himani Shah in my previous article. While writing and collecting materials for a video report on navel piercing, I looked for the information on how this fashion had originated. I looked into ancient Hindu literatures and modern fashion resources to get the idea.

Ancient Hindu literature

One of the most important literature or DYI books in Hindu literature is Kamasutra. The ancient text written by Vatsayan is a guide to a virtuous and gracious living that discusses the nature of love, family life, and other aspects pertaining to pleasure-oriented faculties of human life. Historians believe the Kama Sutra to have been composed between 400 BCE and 200 CE. John Keay says that the Kama Sutra is a compendium that was collected into its present form in the 2nd century CE.

Himani to Samragyee, belly piercing, a new fashion sensation

When the wind blew the saree ex-princess Himani was wearing, an unexpected sighting in her belly caught the eyes of a cameraman – belly piercing. Otherwise a soft spoken, simple and beautiful ex-princess’s fashion sense was something new to the people. Some made fun of her, some appreciated her fashion sense, and others tried to remain indifferent as it was her personal choice. I wrote about the incident in 2010. In 2016, the new sensation of the Nepali film industry, another royal blood, actress Samragyee showed off her pierced bellybutton in photoshots and public. The beautiful actress was working in her second project ‘A Mero Hajur 2’. After the success of both of her movies released so far, Samragyee is the highest paid and most loved actress in the film industry.

Apart from Samragyee, other Nepali actresses have also pierced their bellies. Actress Sushma Karki is one of them. She had shown her pierced bellybutton in one of her birthdays, in 2014. Sushma raised in fame after the success of her item dance in ‘Loot’. After that, she worked in a number of movies as an actress. (Photo attached)

The hottest and the most sellable actress of the Nepali film industry, Samragyee RL Shah, is going to be featured with two of the hottest sensations, Pradeep Khadka and Aryan Sigdel in her upcoming movie. After the success of her debut movie with Anmol KC, Samragyee’s second movie ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ was also a hit. He had set a condition that his home production banner should be associated with all the movies he worked. But, after huge success of ‘Classic’, Aryan didn’t have any films in a year. After ‘Parva’ he was planning to work in a movie named ‘Marina’. But, when the movie delayed, he signed up Rekha Thapa’s ‘Rudrapriya’. The movie was released recently but, it failed to impress the viewers.

Lily Bily – Priyanka Karki replaces Rebika Gurung. Reason: Visa Application Rejection

At the time when the shooting of ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’ has been halted for a long time because of the visa rejection of Samragyee RL Shah, another film lost an actress because of visa rejection. After the actress of ‘Lily Bily’ Rebika Gurung’s visa application by the UK embassy, she has left the team. Actress Priyanka Karki has reportedly taken her place in the movie.

At the time when Rebika’s visa was rejected, Priyanka is in UK for the premier show of ‘Happy Days’. In response to her replacement, Rebika has written that, she has willingly left the team so that the shooting is not further delayed because of visa rejection and problem with her health.

A lot of Nepali artists don’t return from their foreign visit. The trend of overstaying in western countries have created a very impression of Nepali artists that many of them get rejected. The failure to convince that they will return back to Nepal after the completion of the task had caused the majority of such rejections.

Too cheap; What is the rate of a Nepali actress?

Nepali actresses come very cheap when compared to their male counterparts. The actress Rekha Thapa, who claims to be equivalent to a male actress, and always works in female-centric movies, is paid less than most of the male actors. Rekha’s rate is Rs. 5 lakh. Actor Anmol KC is paid about five times that amount. Another actor Pradeep Khadka is also paid more than four times that amount. In Rekha’s last movie, she also paid her co-star, Aryan Sigdel, 3 times the amount she expects others to pay her.

Is it a female dominance or a discrimination? Are the actresses not demanding their worth?
