Miss Nepal 2017 Contestants height, age and other details

Here are the details of all the 19 contestants of Miss Nepal 2017. I have prepare a summary of the contestants.

Height of Miss Nepal contestants

The comparison of heights of each contestants (number 1 to 19 from left to right): Grapical chart of the heights of the contestants

The tallest contestants are 5 feet and 8 inches tall – contestant 7 Rojina Shrestha and 9, Anita Bhandari.
The next tallest are 5 feet and 6 inches tall contestants: 1, 2, 6, 12 and 14
5 feet and 5 inches tall contestants are – 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, and 17
5 feet and 4 inches tall contestants are – 3, 4, 18 and 19

The youngest contestants are 19 years old. Two of the 19 contestants are 19 years old – contestant number 1 Swostika Silwal and the 19th Kritika Giri. The oldest is 24 years old – contestant number 9, Anita Bhandari.

Chandani Sharma, the Stupid Girl actress, got married

Do you remember the ‘Stupid Girl’ debut actress, Chandani Sharma? Chandani was featured in the ‘Timro Aankhama Aanshu Heri …’ song of the movie (attached at the end of the post). A resident of Australia, Chandani, is also featured in a new movie ‘Lamfu’.

Chandani has found a model and businessman, Ajaya Pokharel (Ajju) to get married. Feature in a lot of music video and featured as a model in a lot of fashion shows, Zaau, is also a celebrity in his own way. Although in the similar field, the marriage between Chandani and Azzu is an arranged married, set by their families.

Ruby Rana beauty secret

Although crowned more than two decades ago, the first Miss Nepal is still fit and beautiful. She has maintained her body and looks for more than two decades. Maintaining the looks is not an easy task. Being a beautician has helped Ruby in doing it right.

In the morning – right after waking up she drinks lukewarm lemon water. Then her regular yoga workout starts. In addition to yoga she also exercises everyday. The type of exercise however are not consistent. She does jumba, aerobics and gym workout at home.

  • In breakfast Ruby eats cornflakes, cucumber and watermelon.
  • In lunch she eats roti, daal and cooked vegetables. (bread, dal and tarkari)
  • In the evening she only drinks soup.
  • She has also become a vegetarian these days. That is because she likes drinking when she eats meat. As alcohol is not good for the health and beauty, she tries to keep herself away from alcohol.
  • Ruby also drinks 14-15 glases of water in a day.

The first Miss Nepal Ruby Rana was born in India although her home is at Birgunj, Parsa. Her father was in Indian Army.

Sandhya KC also shows off her underwear

Journalist and actress Sandhya KC is being featured in a leading role in her upcoming movie ‘Kamaleko Bihe’. The actress who debuted in super hit film ‘Dreams’. But, Sandhya was featured in a short role in the movie so, the movie couldn’t do any magic to attract the viewers towards her.

Sandhya has apparently tried to use the tried-and-tested method to attract the media – showing off her underwear in press meet.

  • Actress Karishma Manandhar had successfully used the tactics and it made news – more than once. (Karishma’s Red and black)
  • And actress Priyanka Karki was also successful in creating the buzz by the same tactics. (The issue of Priyanka Karki case took a long time to settle)

Miss Nepal 2017 show their talents

In most of the beauty contest, one of the most popular medium of showing of their talents are either dancing or sining. In the talent show of the Miss Nepal 2017 contestants, they used variety of medium to show their talents. The Miss Nepal Talent Show was held on May 22, 2017 in Kathmandu. The talent show started with a dance performance.

Contestant number 1 Swastik Silwal of Lalitpur danced on the one of the most popular songs of the current time – ‘Kale Dai …’ of upcoming movie ‘Parwa’.

The contestant number 2 Rinku Bajracharya also performed a dance number. Bajracharya danced on an evergreen dance number ‘Makhamali Choli …’  Continue reading

Bipana Thapa takes her son in Nepal tour

One of the popular actress of the past, Bipana Thapa, is currently in Nepal. She was in Nepal in an effort to promote his sister in the local election held at the end of Baisakh. Bipana’s younger sister, Basana Thapa, was one of the candidates of Nepali Congress as Deputy Mayor of Narayan Municipality of Dailekh district.

Although Bipana and her sister Basana had promoted in the election, Basana couldn’t win the election. She was defeated by CPN (UML) candidate, Sabitra Malla. The vote difference between Sabitri and Basana was only 600.

After the election, Bipana is travelling in different parts of Nepal with her sister and other family members. Bipana has shared photos of them travelling in places like Jumla, Mugu and other beautiful and scenic places. They look pretty happy although Basana was defeated in the election.

Miss Nepal graduates with an outstanding performance in MBA at AIT, Thailand

The Miss Nepal 2010 has made a history again in 2017.

Miss Nepal 2010, Sadichha Shrestha, has graduated from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand with an outstanding academic performance. Shrestha completed her 2-years-long MBA course and graduated on May 19, 2017 in Thailand. In addition to the degree of the completion of her post-graduate in business administration, she was also awarded with The Wilhelm Hill Prize for the most outstanding academic performance in Business Administration.

Nikhil running away from Kopila

Actor Nikhil Upreti is apparently running away from his first wife Kopila Upreti. When Nikhil Upreti’s first wife, Kopila Upreti showed up unannounced during the announcement of Nikhil’s next movie ‘Commitment 60 hours’, he was really shocked. While Kopila wanted have a talk with him, Nikhil wasn’t in the mood to meet her. He asked his assistants to shoo her away.

Kopila wasn’t event allowed into the program. By the way she was being treated, it was clear that Nikhil and Kopila are not having a good time these days.

A few days ago, Nikhil had celebrated birthday at the maternal home of his second wife, Sanchita Luitel and their children.

Priyanka Karki and Saugat Malla seen together in Karyabinayak

The shooting of the movie featuring actress Priyanka Karki and actor Saugat Malla in lead role was started in an event held at Karyabinayak temple in Lalitpur. In the event held on May 18, 2017 the artists and the film crew members worshiped in the temple and the camera. The movie to be made by the ‘Chapali Height’ producer, Arjun Kumar is being directed by Nikesh Khadaka. In addition to Priyanka and Saugat the movie also features actors Buddhi Tamang, Kameshowr Charasiya and others.

Although the shooting was inaugurated in the temple of Lalitpur, actual shooting will start in Birgunj. Although the shooting is yet to start, the release date is already fixed – Kartik 17.

Yadav Kharel biography

Yadav Kharel is a filmmaker, lyricist and writer. He debuted in the film industry in 1989 with ‘Cheli Beti’. He was the director, producer, story writer and lyricist of the movie. The movie was was made on a the story of Nepali women sold into prostitution in Indian cities. The film dealt with the challenges they face in reintegrating back into society upon returning home. The movie featured Arjun Jung Shahi, Tika Pahadi, Gauri Malla, Mithila Sharma and Sharmila Malla in main roles. The screenplay was written by Laxminath Sharma and Ashesh Malla.

Karishma Manandhar anger towards her husband in Facebook

These days, the social network has become the place to vent your frustration and problems. It is another story that it almost always has a negative effect to the person. It is usually the start of a bigger problem to deal with those who try to piss you more. That is what I saw no the latest Karishma Manandhar status in Facebook. She has told about her husband being unhelpful in getting her voters’ card. She accused Binod Manandhar of being self-centered.

What had happened to Karishma?

In 2013, during the election of the 2nd Constitution Assembly, Karishma had told that she went to the election commission to get her voters’ card. But, what she didn’t tell at that time was that, she didn’t get the card because she was registered to vote in Rajbiraj.

Engineers, nurse, and business graduates competing in Miss Nepal

The organizer of the contest, The Hidden Treasure, hasn’t publicized any details about the contestants. Although the official website of the contest has an advertisement to vote for the contestants, there is no details about the contestants. Even the photos in the advertisement are of low quality to property see the contestant.

Some details of the contestants were published in the Friday edition of Saptahik, a Kantipur’s weekly publication. But, the publication has also omitted some of the details of the contestants. There is no details about the age of some of the contestants, others have their height missed and some have their education details missing. Evaluating the education details of those whose is published, it is clear that most of the contestants are well educated and some even have professional degrees.

Biography of Anmol KC

At the time of this writing (in 2017), Anmol KC is shooting his fifth movie. All four previous movies of Anmol had been successful movies and there is a huge expectation from his upcoming movie ‘Kri’. There are no reports of the shooting scenes and the the actress Aditi Budhathoki, who is debuting in the movie.

Although Anmol was also featured as a child artists in a number of movies, as an adult he debuted in ‘Sathi Ma Timro’ in a very short role. As a lead actor, he debuted in ‘Hostel’

Miss Nepal 2015, Evana Manandar is marrying Pragun

The Miss Nepal 2015, Evana Manandhar, is marrying Pragun. To celebrate the marriage, a Sangeet Night was held at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. In the event filled with music and dance, the bride and the groom also danced in the event. In the event, the current Miss Nepal, Asmi Shrestha and ex-Miss Nepals were also present. Evana’s friends and families had attended the celebration.
