Shovita Simkhada sizzling in Qatar

These days actress Shovita Simkhada is living in Qatar with her husband. Well, it’s not that Shovita wear Burkha all the time while living in Qatar. She can get quite hot and sizzling at times. See some sample photo below:

Even while living in Qatar, Shovita is as busy in acting and modeling as she was in Nepal. She is currently doing a music video of Nabin K. Bhattarai. The hot music video is being directed by Bhabindra Ta
mang.

Apart from working in entertainment business, she is also helping her husband in his business in Qatar. Shovita’s relocation to Qatar has made it easy for the local organizers of Nepali programs.

First Dashain of the son of Nikhil and Sanchita

Nikhil Upreti and Sanchita Luitel celebrated their Dashain with their newborn child. The child born on Krishna Janmastami is celebrating his first Dashain.

It is not known if Nikhil offered tika to his elder son – with his other wife, Kopila Upreti.

Dashain Tika of celebrities of Nepali movie industry

Nepali movie crew including the actors and actress were in festive mood in the Dashain. All the shootings were halted for the biggest festival in Nepal. Most of the crew members celebrated with tika and jamara.

Taleju Bhawani at Hanumandhoka open for public for Dashain

The only day in the year when the temple of Goddess Taleju Bhawani located at Hanumandhoka, Kathmandu opens for the public is Maha Nawami of Dashain festival. Some 100s of thousand of devotee visit the temple to get a glimpse of the goddess and worship on the day. As per tradition 54 male buffaloes and 54 male goats were also scarified on Maha Asthami (a day before the day it is open to the public).

Build by King Mahendra Malla in 1620 Magh (BS), the three-stores temple is build in traditional pagoda style.

Pathivara Devi – a holy shrine in Taplejung

On the occasion of Vijaya Dahshami we are posting photos of Pathivara Devi in Taplejung.

The temple of Pathivara Devi is located at a height of 12,448 ft, on the Northern side of Taplejung district. The highest hill of Taplejung District where the holy shrine is located is one of the attractions for the tourists in the district.

Shobhraj wife Nihita to feature in Indian TV show?

Bikini Killer Charles Shobhraj‘s 22-year-old wife Nihita Biswas is told to be featured in a reality TV show, Bigg Boss 5. From the time Nihita announced her love for the convicted killer, she was expected to cash in the popularity she got from linking herself to the controversial character.

An Indian Newspaper, Times of India, has told that Nihita has already confirmed her presence in the show. Bigg Boss show, known for presenting controversial content, goes on air in October. Nihita is expected to arrive in India by the end of September for the preparation of the show.

Texting for Greeting – Dashain saw a surge in SMS in Nepal

Did you get a lot of SMS greetings this Dashain ?

I did, and it seems mobile texting (SMS) is getting popular medium of sending best wishes in the festive season. The greeting card printers and designers are getting the heat as people start opting for online greeting cards and SMS greeting as the more efficient and cost effective method of sending best wishes.

Nagarik quotes Surendra Thike of NTC telling that the telecom provider served 21 million SMS messages in the 10-day-long Dashain.

In general a SMS costs Rs. 1 per message. Adding 23 percent tax and service charge, the total cost becomes Rs. 1.23 per message. During the festival season, the service provider companies offer discounted rates.
