Shortest artist in Nepal, Dipen Shah, has died on November 16, 2017 at the age of 19. He was admitted to the hospital after he had fever. According to the family sources, both of his kidneys had failed and he had also problem in his heart.
Born in 2055 in Bhimeshwor Municipality in Dolkha, Dipen had acted in a number of television serials. ‘Jhayaikuti Jhayai’ and ‘Chheu Na Tuppo’ were two of his most popular serials. In addition to TV serials, he had also acted Nepali movies. After debuting in ‘Sarathi’ he had also acted in ‘Joker’.
Miss Nepal International 2017, Niti Shah, made a huge blunder in Japan when she talked about the education of women in Nepal. She showed how unprepared she was in representing the country in an international arena. But, making mistake is human and, it is the way we learn a lot of things. That is what Niti is being told to do.

“I still feel like 16 although I have turned 60.” told Hari Bamsha Acharya as he cut his 60th birthday cake at the shooting location of his upcoming movie ‘Shatru Gate’.
In the birthday celebration organized by Radio Aduio on Monday, November 13, 2017, Hari Bansha cut his birthday cake with his partner Madan Krishna Shrestha. His wife Ramila Pathak and son Mohit Bamsha Acharya were also with him at that time. On the birthday, Ramila presented Hari Bamsha with a sweater and the son Mohit gave an iPhone.
In the event comedy actors Basundhara Bhusal, Sitaram Kattel, Kedar Ghimire, Shiva Hari Poudel, Kiran KC and director Pradeep Bhattarai were also present.

Apart from Samragyee, other Nepali actresses have also pierced their bellies. Actress Sushma Karki is one of them. She had shown her pierced bellybutton in one of her birthdays, in 2014. Miss Nepal 2017, Nikita Chandak, has written a post in support of Niti and asked everybody not to go after her because, she thinks, Niti did mistake like every human does. Last time I had posted on wishing Niti luck for her coronation night.
The morning of November 14th when I woke up, I found so much of hate comments for her that she doesn’t deserve and so did I delete the post.
She is a human being like all of us. Mistakes happen and sometimes the days just aren’t in your favor. Sometimes you just can’t express your thoughts in a way that everyone else is looking for.
So, I request all of you to please understand. She has always been loved by all of you and love is what everyone deserves, motivation and positivity is what everyone deserves. So, let’s spread love, let’s spread positivity, let’s support, empower and encourage each other.
The answer of Miss Nepal International 2017, Niti Shah, to one of the questions in the contest has created a lot of out-roar among Nepali people. In the answer she has told that there are two categories of Nepali women – one the urban women and the second the rural women. While urban women have better education and have better parents, the rural women are the disadvantaged group of people. She also told that most of the rural women are sold to foreign countries for prostitution.
The hottest and the most sellable actress of the Nepali film industry, Samragyee RL Shah, is going to be featured with two of the hottest sensations, Pradeep Khadka and Aryan Sigdel in her upcoming movie. After the success of her debut movie with Anmol KC, Samragyee’s second movie ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ was also a hit. She also became the highest paid actress overnight. While a new movie ‘Timi Sanga’ is yet to release and the shooting of ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’ had halted because of the visa issue, she has signed up some more new movies.

In one of the upcoming movie of Samragyee, she is going to be featured opposite to Aryan Sigdel. During the announcement of his movie produced in association with Subas Giri, Aryan had announced that he won’t be working in movie out of his own production house. He had set a condition that his home production banner should be associated with all the movies he worked. But, after huge success of ‘Classic’, Aryan didn’t have any films in a year. After ‘Parva’ he was planning to work in a movie named ‘Marina’. But, when the movie delayed, he signed up Rekha Thapa’s ‘Rudrapriya’. At the time when the shooting of ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’ has been halted for a long time because of the visa rejection of Samragyee RL Shah, another film lost an actress because of visa rejection. After the actress of ‘Lily Bily’ Rebika Gurung’s visa application by the UK embassy, she has left the team. Actress Priyanka Karki has reportedly taken her place in the movie.
At the time when Rebika’s visa was rejected, Priyanka is in UK for the premier show of ‘Happy Days’. In response to her replacement, Rebika has written that, she has willingly left the team so that the shooting is not further delayed because of visa rejection and problem with her health.

A lot of Nepali artists don’t return from their foreign visit. The trend of overstaying in western countries have created a very impression of Nepali artists that many of them get rejected. Now, she is eying being Top 15 by winning the People’s Choice Awards. Nikita writed, “I have got to know that the Top 15 in the coronation night, one delegate would be the People’s Choice.” Excited by the amount of likes and comments in her Beauty with a Purpose video in YouTube, Nikita says, it “already makes me feel like the People’s choice.”
While Nikita keeps her fingers cross, we as her supporters should watch the video and comment on it.

Nikita is one of the eleven contestants who are confirmed for the Top 40. There will 29 more additions in the list, later.
Being one of the few selected top contenders in the start – has given her an advantage of bing recognized among the contestants. She has got the opportunity to show herself up to the judges who will have the final say. A day after she was selected to be one of the Top 40 at the Miss World 2017, she is selected to be one of the semi-finalist of Beauty with a Purpose contest. The following video has helped her to be one of the semi-finalists.
When I watched the video, I have a feeling that Nikita has done a lot of work and everything is presented in an interesting and heart touching manner. It is a great social work, an essential one, and a life changing work for the girls and the women involved. I hope the judges will see what I have observed. I expect Nikita to be successful in winning the Beauty with a Purpose title.
I wrote about Nikita being one of the Top 40 yesterday. As Nikita has already won the Head to Head Challenge round of Group 3, if she could win a second title, that would help her in the overall contest. Being one of the semi-finalist in itself is a great feat and she has increased her chance to claim the Miss World crown.
In the Top Model contest, Nikita could manage to go up to Top 30 and failed to go higher than that.
It is a myth that multiple film releases on the same day hurt the producer. I reached to the conclusion after a bit of research on the history of such releases in the past.
After I wrote the news about the two new and highly awaited movies – Anmol KC’s ‘Kri’ and Shweta Khadka’s ‘Kanchhi’ releasing on the same day for the Valentine Day of 2018, I thought about the benefits and loss to the producers by such releases. Apart from my personal analysis the research on the history of film releases also supported the notion that – good films are successful no matter how many films release on that day. Bad films don’t get any viewers even if they get solo-release slots.

I knew Nikita has something that makes her a winner. Now, Miss Nepal has been one of the Top 40 in Miss World 2017 beauty pageant after winning the Head to Head Challenge round of Group 3. The 20-years-old Miss Nepal was also selected in the Top 30 of the Top Model Fasttrack event. She however couldn’t make it to Top Model final of that event.
After winning Miss Nepal 2017 title, Nikita is representing Nepal in the 67th edition of Miss World, being held at Sanya, China. The finale of the contest is scheduled to be held on November 18, 2017. A total of 118 participants are competing for the crown this year and being top 40 means a lot for the Miss Nepal. The current Miss World, Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico will hand over the crown to the winner of the contest on next Saturday.
Nikita’s Gown at Miss World
Although Nikita wasn’t successful in winning title, she was selected in Top 30 thanks to an attractive gown she wore at the contest. She was wearing a gown designed by Manis Rai. Nikita has shared Rai’s statement about the gown, “The design has been inspired from the rich heritage of Nepal. It has intricate details inspired from the Mithila art.” Mithila art had evolved in Janakpur of East Nepal.
Nisha Adhikari’s upcoming movie team have started a competition – the most interesting photo of a female carrying a male is going to win Rs. 51,000. For that Nisha had carried her husband Sharad Veshwakar and shared the photo in Facebook. To support Nisha, two other actresses have also done the same.
Neeta Dhungana shared a photo of herself carrying director Shyam Bhattarai in the USA. Neeta is currently in the USA where she went to participate in a film award ceremony.
The release date of upcoming movie of Anmol KC ‘Kri’ has been finalized for Magh 26 (February 9). The date is the same date in which, Shweta Khadka’s comeback movie ‘Kanchhi’ was previously finalized. It these two movies are released in the same day, it would be a huge clash for them as both of them are the most awaited movies of the current time.

Although there is no bikini round in Miss Nepal beauty contest, the winners of the contest have to wear them when they participate in international beauty contests. Earlier, I talked about bikini rounds in Miss Nepal, now it is time to talk about the bikini rounds in Miss Nepal Earth, the runner-ups of Miss Nepal contest. As of 2017, there were 14 Nepali representatives to the contest.
