Premier show of Prashant Tamang movie Nishani held in Hetauda and Kathmandu

A premier show of upcoming movie ‘Nishani’ was held in Hetauda and Kathamndu. The movie features Prashant Tamang and Anu Gurung in lead roles. In the premier held in Kathmandu film producers, directors and film artists were invited. The show in Hetauda was held for the film journalists.

‘Nishani’ is released in theater on Friday was premiered in Q’s Cinemas at Rising Mall in Kathmandu. The movie is made on the story of Gurkha army in Kargil war. Prashant Tamang is featured as a Gurkha army personnel in the movie.

The movie produced by Saroj Bhandari and Lalita Serang Dhaubhdel is told to be made on the real story. The movie is written and directed by Binod Serang.

Friday Release, Utsav and Yo Katha ho Timro Mero

Two new Nepali movies ‘Utsav’ and ‘Yo Katha ho Timro Mero’ are releasing this Friday (August 29, 2014) in theaters all over Nepal. ‘Utsav’ is only releasing in theaters in Kathmandu. Because of the huge success of late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha‘s movie ‘Kohinoor’, these new release will be released in selected theaters.

The movie by ‘Utsav’ is a story of friendship. The movie features Saugat Malla, Gaurav Pahadi, Prakriti Shrestha, Menuka Pradhan, Sanjog Koirala in main roles. The movie is produced by Shekhar Koirala and directed by Kumar Bhattarai.

‘Kohinoor’ premier show held

The movie produced and led by the couple Shree Krishna Shrestha and Sweta Khadka, ‘Kohinoor’ was released in theaters on Friday, August 8. Although a grand premier show was canceled, a show was also held in Kumari Theater in Friday morning among some journalists and film personalities.

Another movie released in theater was ‘Shisha’. A movie directed by RBK Sharad is a romance, action and social drama movie. The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel, Uma Baby, Ragini Khadgi, Nirmal Senchuri, Dipesh Bhandari, Shreya Duala was shot in Sikkim and Nepal. The movie also feature Indian football player Bhaichung Bhutiya.

Shree Krishna and Sweta had sent an audio message telling that they won’t be present in the release and promotion of the movie because of Shree’s sickness and treatment in India.

This week Nepali movie directed by popular choreographer Gobind Rai, ‘Nagbeli’ is going to release in theater. The movie produced by Govind Rai’s god-sister, UK resident Romiyan Limbu, features Harshika Shrestha, Surabhi Jain, Dayahang Rai, Vicky Malla, Nir Shah, Yashraj Garach etc. in main roles.

This week on Friday, June 21, two new Nepali movies have released in theater. Releasing movies at the time when the FIFA World Cup is running, is considered risky decision. On top of that, the movie released last week, ‘Mukhauta’ team have also accused FIFA World Cup being one of the reasons of low turn in in theaters. In that context, the risk movies ‘Mission 4 Twenty’ and ‘Kasto Tension’ have taken is considerable.

Friday Release, Miss Nepal the only Nepali movie in theater

Unlike other Fridays, there are no new releases this Friday. The movie released last week in theaters out of Kathmandu, ‘Miss Nepal’ has released in the theaters in Kathmandu this week.

The movie directed by Surendra Tuladhar features the producer of the movie Suvekshya Thapa in leading role. With, Sabin Shrestha and Kshitiza Shakya are also in lead roles in the movie.

Three new Nepali movies ‘Miss Nepal’, ‘Jodi No. 1’ and ‘Luki Luki’Â have released in theater in Nepal on Friday May 30, 2014. While ‘Miss Nepal’ had been very controversial and was been a focus of media for some time, other two movies were relatively unheard of.

The movie based on beauty contest Miss Nepal is titled ‘Miss Nepal’ and features the producer Suvekshya Thapa as Miss Nepal. The movie directed by Surendra Tuladhar is going to release in ~~23 theaters in Kathmandu and~~ 40 theaters out of Kathmandu. With Suvekshya, the movie also features Sabin Shrestha and Kshitiza Shakya in lead roles.

The movie got in limelight when Miss Nepal organizer Hidden Treasure tried to block it. Suvekshya also posed topless to get the media attention. She had been actively using social media sites to promote the movie and share the poster for the last few months.

The movie was recently premiered in UK. The viewers in the UK had termed the movie of being of international standard.
