On the occasion of actress Shilpa Pokharel, the producer Chhabi Raj Ojha organized an event to release the song of his upcoming movie ‘Hawaldar Suntali’. Chhabi had invited a lot of film artists and journalists in the event to share the music of his upcoming movie.

After cake cutting for Shilpa’s birthday, the actress of the upcoming movie ‘Kismat 2’ by director Shyam Bhattarai was also announced. Chhabi’s birthday day gift to the actress was the leading actress role to the actress in the upcoming movie.

‘Kismat 2’ announced, Rekha Thapa didn’t show up.

The well known producer Chhabi Raj Ojha started in Nepali film industry at the age of 25 years. It has been more 25 years since he has been active in distribution and production of Nepali movies. On the occasion of his 50th birthday and silver jubilee in Nepali film industry, a special program was organized in Kathmandu. In addition to cutting cakes and receiving gifts, Chhabi also announced an upcoming movie – ‘Kismat 2’. A sequel of the hit movie ‘Kismat’ (watch Kismat here) is the 18th production of the director.

Nepali movie ‘Janmabhumi’ is the third movie by the producer Chhabi Raj Ojha, before he met his future wife Rekha Thapa for his next movie ‘Hero’. The movie also features Chhabi’s wife of that time Geetanjali. The movie features the choreography of Kamal Rai, action of Rajendra Khadgi, music of Sambhujit Baskota and is made on the story of Chhabi Raj Ojha. The movie is the second move by Track Moviemakers banner and the presentation of Rajkumar Pokharel. Chhabi’s son Sakar Ojha is also featured as a child artist in the movie.

Friday Release – Lazza and Stupid Man

Two new movies ‘Lazza’ and ‘Stupid Man’ were released on Friday, October 24 in theaters all over Nepal. The movies have tried to cash the second biggest holiday in Nepal.

The movie directed by Nawal Nepal, ‘Lazza’ features Aryan Sigdel and Shilpa Pokharel in lead role. The producer Chhabi Raj Ojha has introduced a new actress Shilpa in his movie in an attempt to replace his long time actress Rekha Thapa. Chhabi says that Shilpa is destined to be the top actress in the Nepali film industry. There are also rumors of the affair between the two.

Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s introduction, actress Shilpa Pokharel has rejected his marriage proposal but has agreed to live together with him. In an interview with a television program Chhabi and Shilpa have told that they are willing to live together with Rekha Thapa‘s ex-husband.

Chhabi told, “If a girl like Shilpa is willing to marry me, I would jump in right away.” In response, Shilpa said that she is not ready to married now. She told, if Chhabi is willing to wait she could think about marriage. In the mean time, she also told that she is willing to live together. The trailer of Chhabi Raj Films’ movie ‘Lazza’ was released few days after the release of trailer of Rekha Films’ movie ‘Himmatwali’. Although they are not directly competing with each other, Chhabi Raj Ojha and Rekha Thapa have been indirect rivals after their divorce.

We compared two trailers and found that they are quite different trailers. We want to leave the decision to you to conclude which one seems like a better movie.

Chhabi and Shyam Bhattarai planning Lanka sequel Lanka 2

In a latest report, director Shyam Bhattarai is teaming with Rekha Thapa‘s ex-husband Chhabi Raj Ojha to produce the hit movie ‘Lanka’ sequel. Both Chhabi and Shyam had been the victim of being stepping stones on the success of the top actress in the Nepali film industry.

Shyam and Chhabi have reportedly signed an agreement to take ‘Lanka 2’ to floor after Tihar. In the report, there is a high chance that Shilpa Pokharel will be featured in the lead role in the movie. We suspect, Shilpa’s future will be determined when her debut movie ‘Lazza’ releases in Tihar.

The shooting of much hyped movie ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ has started in Hetauda. The movie to be made on the story of a police officer, Suntali Dhami, who was raped in office, is being produced by Chhabi Raj Ojha. The movie featuring Shilpa Pokharel in lead role.

Directed by Rishi Lamichane, ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ also features with Kishor Khatiwada and Sabin Shrestha in leading roles. On the first day of shooting choreographer Kabiraj Gahatraj directed the song featuring Shilpa and Kishor.

The first look poster of upcoming movie by noted film maker Chhabi Raj Ojha, ‘Lazza’ is released.

The movie scheduled to release on Kartik 7 (October 24, 2014) features Aryan Sigdel and Shilpa Pokharel in lead role. The movie directed by Nawal Nepal is the third movie under Chhabiraj Films banner.

After the divorce with Rekha Thapa, Chhabi had registered the production banner under his own name. The first movie under the banner, was ‘Hamesha‘ which was jointly produced by Chhabiraj Films and Rekha Films.

Chhabi and Naresh met 22-years ago and they had worked together as close friends for 12 years. Rekha Thapa regrets her 10-years-long marriage, posts angry message in Facebook

The ‘Himmatwali’ actress, director and producer, Rekha Thapa has expressed her anger towards her ex-husband in Facebook. Almost a page-long angry letter written to Chhabi is filled with degrading language and threats.

In the message Rekha has addressed Chhabi by ‘Taan’, a word used to look down on somebody. She has also regretted 10-years she spent with him. To make matter worse, she has also raised the issue of Chhabi’s previous wife who had committed suicide.

The producer and ex-husband of Rekha Thapa, Chhabi Raj Ojha is writing a self-biography. The book expected to be released in about 8 months, Mangsir 2071, will feature the facts about their marriage and the events related to the relationship. The book is expected to include the story of not only Rekha, but also his previous marriages.

Rekha and Chhabi started living separately before a formal separation. Although they had stopped being husband and wife, they were seen together in the profession. But, that relationship has also deteriorated when they started accusing each other. In the past, Chhabi had said about loosing faith in women.

The latest news about Shilpa Pokharel signing up Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s upcoming movie ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ indicates the she might be destined to be Chhabi’s actress of choice. Shilpa debuted in the movie industry in Chhabi’s movie ‘Lazza’. She has been signed up in another of his movie before the release of the debut one.

With Shilpa the movie will also feature Sabin Shrestha and Kishor Khatiwada with Shilpa in leading roles. The movie to be directed by Rishi Lamichane will be shot in location all over Nepal from East to West. The movie is about a police woman working in Achham, Suntali Dhami. Suntali was raped by a group of her colleague police officers.

Actress Rekha Thapa has responded to Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s statement that his wife of more than 10-years had refused to become the mother of his child. Rekha was enraged on Chhabi of bringing out their personal matters to the media. Earlier, Chhabi has talked about the relationship with his ex-wives in an interview with ‘Mirror Nepal’ monthly.
