Sipora Gurung’s Ghalek releasing in Pokhara

The movie featuring international vollyball player and a participant of Miss Nepal 2013, Sipora Gurung, is going to release in Pokhara on March 16, 2013. The movie named ‘Ghalek – The Sign of Love’ is produced by Bhakari Films.

In ‘Ghalek’ Sipora is featured in a double role and is made in Nepali, Gurung and Burmese languages. The movie is directed by Krishna Kumar Gurung and features a story on Nepali who had gone to Burma during the second World War. The love story between a Burmese Nepali and a Nepali in Nepal features Gaman Ghale, Maya Gurung and Prema Gurung in addition to Sipora Gurung.

After knowing each others for the last 7 years long, one of the most popular actors in the Nepali movie industry had managed to keep her a secret. It has been more than two years since he had publicly admitted about their affair but, nobody had been able to point out who she was until today.

It is a surprising revelation that Madhu wasn’t a ‘at home’ girl and she had also participated in beauty contests. In 2002 Madhu had participated in Megha Model Contest and again in 2004 she participated in Lux Beauty Star contest.

Manjari and blackmailing journalist

The Nepali movie ‘Manjari’ makers have accused a journalist of blackmailing for advertisement. In a Facebook statement, the director of Tuka Entertainment, Ganesh Dev Pandey accused an online magazine FilmyZoom of asking for money. When the film makers refused to give the money, the journalist had threatened of starting negative publicity of the movie.

In an attempt to defame the movie, a review was published stating that the movie will flop. The prediction wasn’t based on any facts but because the movie named after a female name. At the time of this writing, the article is already removed, but there is a Facebook share, showing a portion of the article in the website’s Facebook page.

Rakshya audio launched in Madi Mahotsav, Chitwan

The music of the controversial movie of director Raju Giri, ‘Rakhaya’ was launched in Chitwan in Madi Mahotsav. The ‘Rakshya’ team was in Chitwan to promote the movie in the area. The film team include the director Raju Giri, musician Arjun Pokharel, singer Durga Kharel, producer Pawan Basnet, actor Sushant Karki and actress Sarika Ghimire. The film team had also organized a press meet to inform about the movie and answer questions raised by the journalists.

The movie has been controversial for numerous hot scenes and hot bed scene of actress Poojana Pradhan. The actress wasn’t happy when the director tried to use somebody else’s naked body with Poojana’s head in the poster. The poster was immediately changed after the actress’ protest.

‘Badhshala’ banned by army, March 8 protested as Black Friday

Nepali movie ‘Badhshala’ has been banned in Nepal and it is a new record in Nepali movie industry. This is the first time a movie is banned even before it is reviewed by the film reviewing body of the government, Nepal Censor Board.

A protest program was organized in Mandala Theater, Kathmandu to protest against the government of banning a work of art. The artists and supporters were carrying protest slogans. Notable personalities present in the protest were director Yadav Kharel, comedy artist Manoj Gajurel, Manoj KC, and Reema Bishowkarma.

The director of the movie Iciar Bollain is the winner of Goya Spanish Academy Awards. The story of the movie is based on a novel by VictÃ²ria Subirana. The movie features beautiful locations and places of Nepal.

Rajesh Hamal’s girlfriend Madhu Bhattarai talks, first time

Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal‘s girlfriend Madhu Bhattarai had talked to the public for the first time in an interview with Kantipur’s weekly ‘Saptahik’. Although the identity of the mystery girl is verified, she has refused to release her photo to the public yet.

In the interview, Madhu has admitted that she is having an affair with the superstar for the last three years and is planning to marry soon. Although Madhu refused to release her photo, Kantipur published a look-alike sketch of the future wife of Hamal.

Friday release – Rhythm, Bardaan and Paltan

Three new movies have released in theater today (on March 8). Two of them, ‘Rhythm’ and ‘Paltan’ were released in Kathamndu and the third movie ‘Bardaan’ was released only in theaters out of Kathamndu after a mutual agreement with the other two. ‘Bardaan’ will release in Kathamndu on March 15.

Written and directed by Bikash Acharya, ‘Rhythm’ is made on a love story. The musical movie features Jiwan Luitel, Wilson Bikram Rai, Sweta Bhattarai, Nir Shah, Nishma Ghimire and Sohit Manandhar in main roles. The movie made on One Time banner is produced by Pradeep Dahal.

Within a month of her marriage, actress Saranga Shrestha is reportedly pregnant. Saranga and Ramesh Karki (KC) had engaged in Christmas last year and married in court on February 1, 2013. Saranga had told that she was planning to perform the marriage ceremony according to the traditional norms in Nepal.

Actor Arjun Karki to make Mt. Everest attempt

Actor and producer Arjun Karki has announced that he will attempt to reach the top of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest. In a press conference held by Nepal Film Journalist Association, Arjun told that he will carry holy water from Pashupatinath to the top of Mt. Everest.

While attempting the ascend, Arjun Karki will convey the message to stop child labor, sex assault and violence against women. With him Arjun will also carry National flag of Nepal, flag of Film Artists Association to the top.

The controversial actress of ‘Chapali Height‘, Binita Baral is doing everything she can to promote her upcoming movie ‘Superhit’. The latest in the promotion attempt is offering a dating deal to the fan who helps promote her Facebook page.

Binita’s dating offer in Facebook however doesn’t have any concrete terms and conditions. All she has told is, "Share my third film ‘Superhit’. The faster you help ‘Superhit’ reach your friend, the faster you can talk with me." She adds, "You can meet me during the release of the movie, watch the movie together and we can go out together."
