This is an update to a previous post on the subject. I have also updated the video report for this post.
The original video was made on the suggestion of one of my Twitter friends. The suggestion was make video report on Nepali actresses who smoke and drink in real life. Actually I wasn’t really interested in doing the report in the beginning. It was their personal freedom and I wasn’t a person to judge them by their habits. Drinking is not a taboo anymore. And, smoking is a bad habit almost all of the smokers want to quit.
Unless a drunk person acts irresponsibly, drinking doesn’t usually interface with the other people. But, smoking can expose non-smokers passive smoking. Smokers can at times be a nuisance too. But, I wasn’t willing to discuss the issue until I remember Rajesh Hamal’s incident during the shooting of one of his films. Then I prepared a video report (attached at the end of the post). The following video is the update to the video.
The secret of hot curvy and attractive body of Aslesha Thakuri is a regular workout. Although she is a vegetarian, she eats enough protein to make up the body needs.
Aslesha Thakuri debuted as an actress in ‘Prem Geet 2’, the sequel of a superhit movie ‘Prem Geet’. In the movie she is featured opposite to Pradeep Khadka. Although the film was successful and Pradeep Khadka became the new sensation in the Nepali film industry, the success of the movie wasn’t helpful to the actress. The Aslesha and Pradeep couple wasn’t liked by the viewers.
After the first movie, there is no report of Aslesha signing another movie. But, by the way she is building up her body, there might be some unannounced project in which Aslesha might be coming.
In the following report, Aslesha is seen working out on her body to build the attractive body.
Singer, journalist and athlete Komal Oli has a special link to the palace. Apart from being a long-time Radio Nepal journalist, Komal Oli had received scholarship from the palace during her school days. She was invited to the palace during Dashain. King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya used to know her in person because of her talent and celebrity status.
There was a rumour going on at the time of monarchy. People used to talk about the relationship between Komal and then prince Dhirendra. Dhirendra had a reputation of a playboy. It was a common belief that any girl in Dhirendra’s radar was not safe. Komal was one of his favourite singers and she was also an athlete. Dhirendra was the chief of Nepal Sports Council. In an interview, Komal Oli had quoted Late Sarad Chandra Shah, one of the right hands of Dhirendra (and also main force behind the notorious ‘Bhumigat Giroha’) telling her about Dhirendra’s affection towards her. Here is a video report about the affair rumour:
Salman Khan had visited Nepal in 1992 for the shooting of his movie ‘Bulund’. The shooting of the movie however got halted after the completion of half of the movie. The exact reason of it being incomplete is not known but, there are a couple of incidents that are worth mentioning about Salman’s first Nepal visit.
I have prepared a video report about the incident:
I prepared a video on the only remaining blood relatives of King Birendra – his grand daughters, Surangana Rana and Girvani Rana. The daughters of Pricess Shruti are studying in India and are away from media attention. At the time they lost their mother in Durbar Hatyakanda in 2001, Girvani was just 3-years old and Surangana 7-months old. After 7 years of that ill-fated time, their father, Gorakh, also married another mother. (I had also written about them two years ago)
Both Surangana and Girvani studied in Kathmandu till their grade 4. In the fifth grade they went to Dehara Dhun, India for the rest of their schooling. Now, 20-years-old Girvani is doing her bachelors in Bangalore. 17-years old Surangana is finishing her school years in Dehara Dhun.
I am writing this post to share some interesting comments in the video. Some of the viewers have suggested that the royalty should be re-installed and the eldest should be installed as a constitutional queen. Although such thing is not possible in the current time, these comments are really insetting.

An army staff at Narayanhiti Lal Bahadur Lamteri claimed that Crown Prince Dipendra was the one who was killed before everybody else in the June 1, 2001. Lamteri’s claim that Prince Paras brought a person wearing a Dipendra look-alike mask. But, whole account of Lamteri doesn’t seem convincing.  The official report of the government probe commission had accused Dipendra for the killing. The report in itself is unbeilable and unreliable.
Whoever did it, the royal family member was left with only the family of Gyanendra. Those who didn’t survive the night include:
Even if the main accused, Dipendra, did the massacre – he is not to be solely responsible. There are people who might have brain-washed Dipendra or encouraged the event. Video report on what happened on that day:
A lot of celebrity kids have entered the Nepali film industry. In a latest news, actress Jharana Thapa is introducing her daughter Suhana Thapa in her second directorial venture, ‘A Mero Hajur 3’. The movie will feature another celebrity son, Anmol KC. Both the parents of Anmol KC – Sushmita KC and Bhuwan KC are film artists. Video report about the Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh deal with Anmol KC:

One of the top models in Nepali music industry, Sushma Adhikari, hasn’t been successful in her movie acting. She has acted in a few Nepali movies and she had also acted in Bhojpuri movie, but none of them became successful. The following art by @theTakla in Twitter is a true representation of Sushma – she loves sharing selfies and she also shows off her body whenever she can. (the art was shared by the Sushma in her Instagram profile.)
Sushma started acting in Nepali movie ‘Pipal’ in 2014. The first movie failed to impress the viewers. Sushma’s second Nepali movie ‘Anautho Premkatha’ also followed the same path. After the second attempt, Sushma busied herself in music videos and modelling.
Does Namrata look like a 32-years old woman in the following photo?
In her short hair and toned skin, Namrata looks like a much younger girl. The tom-boy looks actually looks good on the beautiful and talented actress. This is the new look of the actress for her upcoming movie ‘Xira’. The movie to be directed by Ashutosh Shrestha will also feature Srijana Regmi, Sujata Shrestha, Raymon Das Shrestha, and Anoop Bikram Shahi in main roles.
Talking about the artists in the film, actor Raymon was rumoured to be in relationship with Namrata in her initial days in the film industry. Anoop is establishing himself as a credible actor in the film industry.
In an Instagram post, Namrata has explained everything about the movie:

It seems, summer has taken its toll – the ‘Kri’ actress has shared her hot photos in bikini. The actress looks much beautiful and much bolder in photos than in film screen. Although her debut in the Nepali film industry couldn’t create any magic, her social presence is unavoidable. She know how to tease her fans by sharing scantly clad photos of herself. While her photos look sensuous, they don’t look vulgar or inappropriate.
These days, Aditi is living in Mumbai and struggling to get role in Bollywood. She is also doing various training there. She says, she is in no hurry to sign more movies.
These days, her bikini photos are making rounds in social network. These are the bikini clad photos of Aditi taken in a swimming pool somewhere in India.
Actress Karishma Mandhar got pissed off when a journalist wrote about her attire during a press meet. It was not only about her attire. It was more about her character, her intelligence and the way she talks. When I first read the the news article, I thought it was some sort of comedy.
Watch the video report:
In response, Karishma shared a photo wearing a dress that covers everything except her face and asks them to write the caption for the photo.
A rough translation of what Karishma has written in her Facebook response:
As I am an artist, every activities of mine are connected to glamour. At the same time, being a public figure, I have to be careful on my personal activities (like eating, siting, wearing, speaking etc.)
But, in the second decade of 21st century and being a citizen of a free country, shouldn’t I be free to eat, wear, and speak the things I like?
The thing I have objection is – Ok, if I had worn an inappropriate dress – why don’t you comment only on the dress? What would they get by commenting about my style of speaking, things I like to do, my desire, and make fun of everything I do? The coat and skirts of Trthur’s Levine are not bought to be worn at home.
It is an attack on my personal freedom in the name of the dress I wear. It is an attack to womenkind. For those yellow journalists, I have worn this dress – BLACK. Now, make a caption of this (like you made – childish behaviour of a 55 years old).
That was a smart response to the news article attached below:
I totally agree that the magazine’s article wasn’t appropriate. But, Karishma’s response in Facebook wouldn’t solve the problem. There are journalist associations that take care of such articles. There is court of law about defamation.
Actually, such response in social media would create an environment write articles so that they could have a follow up article to be written in the next edition. I am sure, this response will make it into next edition of that magazine. They would certainly love such responses from celebrities.
I think, a better way of dealing with the situation is to call them. Talk to them about the issue and also call the journalist associations and organizations. Such steps will create an environment in which, the reporter start to think about the consequences.
There are a lot of beauty contests held in Nepal. The trend has extended beyond the Nepali border as Nepali people settle in various countries in the world. Beauty contests are held among young girls.
Most of these beauty contests are held for the personality development and starting career in entertainment industry. The sudden rise in the number of beauty contests in Nepal can be attributed to the business aspect of the contests. These contests are usually held by training institutes, education institutes, and event managers. They train young girls and test their qualification by organizing the contests. It has also become a platform for young girls in various stages of their lives. For example, there used to be a beauty contest among girls appearing in SLC examination – Miss SLC. Similarly Miss College, Miss Plus Two were also held.
As Nepali people migrate to other countries and their children grow young, similar trend has also started in foreign countries. Beauty contests among Nepali girls in foreign countries are:
