Opportunity to participate in Miss Nepal US 2018

The organizer of the beauty contest among Nepali girls in USA, Miss Nepal US 2018, have called for the application. The event to be held on August 19, 2018 is being organized among girls of Nepali origin living in the USA.

All Nepali girls of age between 19 and 29 can participate in the contest. The contest is organized by Event Planet Inc in association with E-Planet Pvt. in Nepal. This is the sixth edition of the beauty contest.

The organizer, Amit Shah, has told that the event is being organized to empower youth and promote Nepal. The first edition of the beauty contest was held in 2011 at New York. In the first edition, Sujita Basnet of Washington DC, had won the title.

The winner of Miss Nepal US 2018 will be awarded $5,000 education scholarship and other prizes.

Nisha Adhikari becomes a mother, a mother of a US citizen

Nisha Adhikari has given birth to a son in USA. In an Instagram post she has shared the newborn child photo and has told that the baby, the father and the mother are well and happy.

Like a film’s story: Loot producer arrested – for printing fake bank notes

It is more like a story of a film. There is a producer – a reputed and successful producer. And there is a conspiracy going on in his production team. The film’s Art Directors demands fake currency to be used in the film. They print a lot of fake currency. The money was used in the shooting of ‘Changa Chait’, an upcoming movie of Madhav Wagle featuring actress Priyanka Karki with her boyfriend Ayushman Deshraj Joshi. The movie made headlines when Ayushman’s ex-girlfriend also agreed to do a role in the movie.

The fake money wasn’t destroyed and kept in Madhav Wagle’s home. Some of the money was taken by one of the crew member and spent in a restaurant. When the restaurant owner found out that the money was fake, they called the police.

Another US Return actress Kabita Manandhar, debuts in Shiva Shrestha moive

Actor Shiva Shrestha has debuted as a producer of a movie. The movie titled ‘Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani’ is going to introduce two celebrity children in the Nepali film industry. Actress Kabita Manandhar is the daughter of actress Karishma Manandhar and actor Shakti Shrestha is the son of Shiva Shrestha.

Shiva Shrestha organized a press meet to release the trailer of his debut movie and announce the debut of the two new artists in the movie. Talking at the event, Shiva Shrestha told that his son, Shakti Shrestha, had always wanted to be an actor. He had also acted in a film as a child artist. Shiva told him to wait for the right time. In the mean time, Shakti went to Australia and studied there. He was working when Shiva decided that it was the right time to introduce his son in the film industry. Shakti told that it was a surprise to himself when his father proposed him to act in the movie.

The movie ‘Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani’ is full of well known artists. There is a possibility that the new actors get lost in the crowd of well known artists.

Sonika Rokaya to be featured in Manoj Gajurel’s wife’s Meena Dhakal video

When Meena Dhakal divorced her 22-years-long husband, comedian Manoj Gajurel, she promised to be a singer. She tried her luck by creating a music video. But, the video was disliked by people and she was rediculated. It seems, she is not going to give up yet. She has written and given voices to a number of other songs. In one of the music videos of her songs, she is going to feature VJ Sonika Rokaya.

$581k raised in Colorado, USA saptaha by Dinbandhu Pokharel

A saptaha was organized among the Nepali people living in Colorado, USA in an effort to build a community centre for the Nepali and Bhutanese of Nepali origin. The saptaha held from April 28 to May 5 raised an amount in excess of $581k. The money was collected as the donation from the people living in the area.

Dinbandhu Pokharel is known as an excellent orator who inspire people with money to donate for a noble cause. He has been active in raising fund for the construction of schools, colleges, hospitals and other social works.

Although some question his tactics of inspiring people to donate money as manipulative, those who donate do so happily. He uses the storytelling to inspire people to do something so that they are remembered by others in the world. He uses the mortality as an excuse and donation to help them become immortal.

Dr. Upendra Devkota, Can cancer be cured by Ayurveda?

Dr. Upendra Devkota is one of the top neurologist in South Asia. He started neuro section in Bir Hospital and had also started neuro hospital in Bansbari. Now, a cancer patient, he is being treated in the hospital. Dr. Devkota had gone to the UK for the treatment. But, when his body didn’t respond to chemotherapy, he returned back to Nepal to die in his birthplace.

According to the western medicine, there is no hope of Dr. Devkota. But, the eastern solution, Ayurveda is different from that of the western world. The 5000 years old science treats diseases by a quite different philosophy – by considering the body as a whole rather than an individual part of the body. When nothing works, you would try everything possible. — May be, that is the situation of Dr. Upendra Devkota. Dr. Devkota’s father was an Ayurveda doctor.

OMG – There are more Nepali singers in USA than in Nepal

The title might not be 100 percent true but when I rephrase, it will be 100 percent true: “There are more popular Nepali singers in USA than in Nepal“. A lot of popular singers have gone to the USA and haven’t returned back to Nepal.

One of the earliest and most popular singer Prem Raja Mahat is a celebrity in USA among Nepali people. He is considered a link to meet new and old Nepalese in the Eastern USA.

The singer of the popular song ‘Saili ..’, Hemanta Rana has also been living in the USA for a while. He sang the song when he was in a vacation in Nepal. According to reports, the musician and one of the judges of Nepal Idol, first season, Nhyhu Bajracharya has also got Green Card and has moved to USA. He had composed the music of the popular song ‘Phulko Aankhama Phulai Sansara … ”

Other popular singers include Sapana Shree, Sanjeep Pradhan and Sarishma Amatya. Nalina Chitrakar, comedy singer Ratan Subedi, Jagadish Samal and a lot of other singers.

Dipendra’s doctor, after Royal Massacre, Dr. Upendra Devkota is fighting for life

British hospital couldn’t cure him

Famous neurosurgeon, Dr. Upendra Devkota, is fighting for life after he couldn’t be cured in a British hospital. The chemotherapy done in London didn’t help in reducing the growth of tumour. As, his body wasn’t responding to the treatment, he decided to return back to Nepal to spend his last days in life with his loved ones. Dr. Devkota is admitted to the Bansbari Hospital and is waiting for the life to end. The hospital, NINAS in Bansbari, was established by Dr. Devkota himself.

Who is Upendra Devkota?

Dr. Upendra Devkota is one of the most popular doctors of Nepal. He was the founder of the first neurological trauma unit in Nepal in Bir Hospital. He was also appointed the Minister for Health, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal at the time of Gyanendra’s rule. Dr Devkota also founded of the National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences, also known as the Neuro Hospital. The Neuro Hospital is considered a state of the art Neurological Centre, providing services for patients from all over South Asia.

The first actress to scale Mt. Everest, Nisha Adhikari, can also be considered the pioneer in birth tourism. She went to the USA after before she announced her pregnancy on the New Year of 2018, January 1. After that, she has been living with her brother. This is Paramita RL Rana’s new boyfriend, Priyanka sends her love too

The ex-girlfriend of Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Paramita RL Rana, has found a new boyfriend. The boyfriend named Hisi Losang is a young businessman. He is named the managing director of a travel agency and a restaurant.

When Paramita shared a photo of the boyfriend in Instagram, actress Priyanka Karki wrote a comment with a heart. In response to Priaynka’s comment, Paramita wrote back a heart and a kiss emoji. This is surprising gesture of the two because, a while ago, Paramita had accused Priyanaka Karki of stealing her then boyfriend Ayushman. Ayushma Joshi and Paramita were in relationship for more than three years when Priyanka came in their lives. Ayushman got attracted towards Priyanka and left Paramita alone. Now, after Paramita found a new boyfriend, the relationship between the three seem to have been better.

Pokhara being one of the most popular touristic destination in Nepal, there are various hotels to stay in Pokhara. 10 years of love, Dibyata Vaidya marries Ayush Shrestha

Miss Nepal Earth 2015 has become second title holder of Miss Nepal 2015 to get married. Last year, Miss Nepal World 2015, Evana Manandhar got married and this year the runner up has married her long-time boyfriend. May be, it will be the turn of the wedding bells of the second runner up, Medha Koirala next year.

Dibyata had been dating Ayush Shrestha for the last 9 years. They had been going steady while Ayush was in UK for his studies. He returned back to Nepal after completion of his studies in 2013. In that time Dibyata was doing her business studies and she was also modelling. After completion of her bachelor’s degree, Dibyata competed in Miss Nepal contest of 2015. She won the Miss Nepal Earth title and represented Nepal in Miss Earth 2015. Both Ayush and Dibyata being business studies graduates, they are mostly busy in business than entertainment field.

Ayush had proposed Dibyata during their foreign tour in 2017 and Dibyata said ‘yes’ to his proposal. They waited about a year for the actual marriage. The marriage ceremony started on April 12 and the final day of marriage was April 20. In the marriage ceremony the friends and relatives of the bride and groom were invited.

4 films of Priyanka Karki in theatre – Lily Bily, Shatru Gate, Kohalpur Express and Happy Days

Yes, Priyanka Karki has made a new record of four films of hers running simultaneously in theatres in Nepal. Two those new films, ‘Kohalpur Express’ and ‘Happy Days’ were released on Friday 27, 2018 joining two others which were released a few weeks earlier. Shatru Gate and Lily Bily have been doing good business in theatre weeks after they were released.

Priyanka told that she tried her best not to let two of her movies clash at the time of the release. Priyanka suggested viewers to watch ‘Happy Days’ first then they can watch ‘Kohalpur Express’. If both of them become houseful, you could watch ‘Shatru Gate’ or ‘Lily Bily’.
