The Guinness World Records holder for being the youngest movie director, Saugat Bista, has been offered a full scholarship in the school he is going now. The grade 2 student, Saugat, will be able to study till grade 10 for free from the Rs. 350,000 scholarship offered by Suryodaya Secondary School.
Laxya Bahadur KC, the school principal, has told that he and the school is proud of Saugat for his extraordinary job.
The Rajesh Hamal couple has left for the USA to participate in a NRN conference. The Hamal couple’s honeymoon plan right after their marriage was foiled when Madhu couldn’t get the visa. They went to Pokhara instead.

The actress of un-released Nepali movie ‘Safe Landing’ and ex-Miss Nepal actress Jharana Bajracharya has married the producer of the movie Rahul Agrawal. Although the marriage ceremony was held on March 12, but it took a few days before she decided to release the news. Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal and his wife Madhu Bhattarai are visiting USA on the invitation of NRN USA. The NRN program is scheduled to be held from March 20 to 22 in Washington DC. To participate in the program Rajesh and Madhu are leaving Nepal on March 16.

The writer of a popular song of an upcoming movie, ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ has been accused of raping a child in the school he teaches. According to a report in Seto Pati online newspaper, Dinesh Subedi is accused of raping a grade 4, 9-years-old child in the school he teaches.
Subedi, a teacher of Seti Ganesh High School in Daman, Palung had raped the child and was trying to convince the child keep silent. When the parents of the child knew about the crime, the villagers tried to kill Subdei before police took him under their control. While trying to save Subedi, the uniform of one of the police officer was also torn.

Nepali actress Sumina Ghimire has married a pilot boyfriend, Rosha Sapkota in a program held in Kathmandu. In a not-so-publicized event, very few film industry personalities were invited and the event was kept within the friends and family circle. Well ahead of the marriage, there were rumors of the upcoming marriage but, no dates and details were revealed.

Sumina reportedly is retiring from the film industry. She had stopped signing any new films after the decision of marriage was made. Sumina’s movie ‘Bhimdatta’ was released on Friday. Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, has arrived in Kathmandu on March 9, 2015 at around 3:30 PM. Khan flew in his private jet to attend an event by Kansai Paints at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Khan is planning to return back to India after the event.

The popular film artists of Nepal Biraj Bhatt and actress Reema Bishowkarma heated the Nepali audience in Pune in the occasion of Holi. In the musical event organized by the Nepali community in Pune, artists like Bhagirathi Chalaune, Kalpana Dahal, Sushmita Burlakoti, Hitesh Karmakar, Pamfa Dangol and other performed on the stage.

The accident of Turkish Airlines in Tribhuvan International Airport caused extensive delay in the flight in and out of Kathmandu. The delay not only caused problems to come to Nepal and going abroad, various programs out of country had to be delayed because the artists couldn’t fly on the scheduled date.
The comedy and musical program scheduled for March 7, Tito Satya Meri Bassai Sanjh had to be delayed to March 19 as the artists couldn’t take the flight to Australia in time. Popular cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan is blessed with a daughter. Purushottam and Anu Shrestha were married nine months earlier on Baisakh 27. The healthy daughter was born on Falgun 12, 2071 BS.
Purushottam Pradhan is a well known cinematographer with credits like ‘Loot’ (watch ‘Loot’ here), ‘Kabaddi’ (watch ‘Kabaddi’ here), Vigilante, ‘Maya’s Bar’ (Watch ‘Mayas Bar’ here) and others.
In the first interview after the death of her husband of a month, Shree Krishna Shrestha, actress Sweta Khadka has spoken to BBC Nepali radio’s new section, ‘Anautho Byatha’. In the interview, Sweta talked about her condition, her faith and her definition of life. She also assured that she is trying to overcome the grief and start working again.
In the interview, Sweta cried a lot and told that she developed back pain and is being treated now.

Congratulation 8-years-old director, Saugat Bista, you have made it (7 years at the time of release of the film)! The ‘Love you Baba’ director Saugat Bista is awarded the Gunnies World Record of being the youngest film director in the world. In the certificate, it is clearly written that Saugat is "The youngest director of a professionally made feature length film."
Although he was told to be 8-years old in the marketing materials of his film, it turns out that he was a few days shy of being 8-years old at the time of the release of his film. Saugat Bista was born on January 6, 2007 and was 7 years and 340 days when his film ‘Love You Baba’ was released in cinemas on December 12, 2014.
