In a jewelry fashion show held in Kathmandu, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon looked like a Nepali bride. Dressed in red saree and clad with Nepali jewelry, Raveena looked more like a bride than a model.
To participate in the fashion show, Raveena had arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Nepal Ratna and Aabusadh Union had appointed Rabina it’s brand ambassador and had invited her to participate in the November 5 fashion show.

To participate in a Jewelry Fashion show by Nepal Gem and Jewelry Association, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has arrived in Kathmandu.
Raveena will wear and promote Nepali Jewelries in the show to be held on November 5, 2014 at the Hotel Yak and Yeti. Nepali models will also join Raveena in the ramp.

Bad news guys ! The ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ (links to full movie) actress Neeta has found her boyfriend!
The announcement of Neeta Dhungana about her love towards actor Amesh Bhandari is the talk of the Nepali film industry at this time. Amesh and Neeta are working together in their upcoming movie ‘Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai’. The romantic drama movie is being produced, written and directed by Dinesh DC. The movie is scheduled to release on April 24, 2015.
The girlfriend of late gangster Dinesh Adhikari ‘Chari’ who was aggressive on his death at that time. She claimed that it was an unjust murder by the police and had given a long statement (video attached). She claimed that it was an ambush and also accused her ex-boyfriend Arpan Koirala conspiring against Chari.
But, these days, Khusbu is nowhere to be seen or heard. According to police sources, she has already left country and is living in the UK in a student visa. According to reports, she had left for UK in the first week of Bhadra. Her ex-boyfriend Arpan Koirala is also living in India. Before meeting ‘Chari’ Arpan had been working together with Arpan.

Deapawali is the festival of lights and color. Nepali artists celebrate the festival with a lot of jest and enthusiasm. Laxmi, the goddess of wealth is worshipped along with money and wealth. Oil lights and electric lights are lighted in and around the house.
In a new trend, colorful rangoli are drawn with depiction of Laxmi’s feet on rice flour to guide the goddess of wealth into the house. Here are some photos of the Deepawali celebration in the homes of some of the Nepali film artists.
Actress Rekha Thapa took tika and blessing from her mother and worshipped Laxmi on Laxmi Puja.
Three movies ‘Dhanda’, ‘Mokshya’ and ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ were awarded three different awards for Best Movie, Jury Award and Popular Film awards respectively. In addition to the best award, the movie ‘Dhanda’ was also awarded 4 more awards in different categories including best director and best actor award.
‘Dhanda’ writer Arpan Thapa was also awarded the Best Writer Award. Subarna Thapa won the Best Screenplay award for the script of ‘Soongava’. Deepak Raj Giri of ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ was awarded the Best Dialogue Award.

To participate in the film Award – NEFTA Awards 2014, artists, journalists and producers have arrived in Hong Kong to participate in the event on October 20, 2014. The Communication Minister, Minendra Rijal will be the chief guest of the award ceremony. Other artists who have arrived in Hong Kong include Rajesh Hamal, Nir Shah, Karishma Manandhar and others.
NEFTA organized a press meet in Hong Kong to announce the preparation and details of the program. In the inauguration ceremony actor Rajesh Hamal and musician Sambhujit Baskota will be in stage together.
The NEFTA film award is going to be held on October 20 in Hong Kong. Another award ceremony, INFA 2014 is also going to be held in Hong Kong on October 26. And, one more movie award ceremony Kamana Films Award is also starting this year. In addition to the nominations there will be non-competitive Critics Awards in music, fashion and theater, Jury Award and Life Time Achievement awards.
The Kamana Films Award was announced in the beginning of 2014 in association with CG Entertainment. Actress Karishma Manandhar debuted as a MC in that program. In the nominations, ‘Hostel’ has bagged the most – 18 nomination, ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2’ has bagged 17 nominations and ‘Moun’ has received 18 nominations.

The nominations of the Nepali film award to be held in Hong Kong, International Film Academy Award (INFA 2014), is released in a press conference held in Hotel Hayat. The award ceremony is going to be held on October 26, in Hongkong. The organizers are going to honor film producer Uddav Poudel with the Lifetime Achievement Award. He will receive Rs. 500,000 in cash and certificates in the ceremony.
The press conference also featured comedy program of Jitu Nepal and Wilson Bikram Rai. Actresses Priyanka Karki, Nandita KC, Keki Adhikari danced on stage.
In the award ceremony some 60 artists including Rajesh hamal, Shiva Shrestha, Bhuwan KC and Karishma Manandhar will fly to Hong Kong. Awards will be presented in 20 different categories. The nominations in these categories are as follows:
Sharing a group photo of Shree Krishna Shrestha‘s family actress Sweta Khadka has told that she is going to accept the family as her own home. In a Facebook post Sweta told, “I would like to live as a daughter and sister in this family.”

A lot of Bollywood artists have been visiting Nepali these days. A few days after the visit of Aamir Khan another Bollywood actor Jitendra had arrived in Kathmandu. The purpose of Aamir’s and Jitendra’s visits are however a lot different. While Aamir was in Nepal for social work, Jitendra has arrived as a tourist.

Jitendra has arrived in Nepal with his wife Shova Kapoor. Shova and Jitendra had visited Nepal last time in their honeymoon. Although it’s the second visit of Shova, it is fourth visit of Jitendra after his first on in 1974.
Actress Karishma Manandhar is currently in UK to participate in the Dashain Tihar Party 2014 organized by Sagarmata Gurkha Nepalese Community. Actor Dhiren Shakya also participated in the program held on October 11 at the Norton Knatchbull Hall, Hythe Road, Ashford.

Actress Namrata Shrestha had been sick since Dashain. When things became serious she was admitted to Norvic Hospital. After being treated and satisfactory improvement in her health she was recently discharged from the hospital.
Namrata wasn’t feeling well on during the September 27 concert held in Basantpur, Kathmandu. The media had no clue about her illness until she got better. She reportedly was sick of typhoid.
Well known Bollywood actor Aamir Khan arrived in Nepal on on Tuesday (October 7,2014) in an UNICEF mission. On Thursday he spent an hour at Pakadi Health Post in Kapilbastu. In his visit he observed medication and treatment of malnutrition affected children. The nutrition program is initiated by local women’s group.
During the visit Aamir remembered similar cases in India. Aamir also visited Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha. He returned back to Kathmandu after visiting Mayadevi temple in Lumbini.
