Paul Shah and Aanchal Sharma starrer Johnny Gentleman to release on Sept 15

A poster of upcoming movie of actor Paul Shah is released featuring the actor with is so-called girlfriend Aanchal Sharma. Although Aanchal and Paul have denied the affair rumour, everybody else believe that they are seeing each other. The the poster also shows the release date of September 15, 2017.

The trailer of the movie is yet to release. Shot in various locations in Nepal and India, ‘Johnney Gentleman’ is a movie featuring comedy, action and love story. Produced by Andrews Poudel and directed by Nitin Chand, the movie is also one of the awaited movies the the film industry. That is because, viewers had liked Paul Shah’s roles in his previous movies in his earlier movies. In the last release, ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’, he was featured in the role of an angry young man. The success of the movie has helped the actor and is expected to help in the promotion of the upcoming movie.

Kri release delayed, Anmol KC film won’t release in Tihar

The Kartik 3 release of ‘Kri’ has been delayed because of the delay in shooting. In the first look, the release date of Kartik 3 was mentioned. But, according to insiders, there is very little chance of the completion by that date.

The shooting of the movie in Manang is uncertain because of the adverse weather in the area. After the completion of the shooting in Dhampus, the film team has returned back to Kathmandu. The team will head toward Manang after the weather improves. The shooting is expected to complete after the shooting in the remote location.

About ‘How Funny’

A movie featuring well known actors like Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki and Keki Adhikari is the debut movie of the female director Nilu Doma Sherpa. Miss Nepal 2002 Malvika Subba had debuted as the producer in the movie (report on Malvika’s debut). The movie on comedy theme was however not liked by the viewers of the movie.

The movie also features journalist Rishi Dhakala (report). The movie is made under Tiny But Big Pictures banner. The story and the concept is that of the director Nilu Doma Sherpa, script is written by Shan Basnyat, executive prducer is Malvika Subba, choreographer is Renasha Rai etc.

Prem Geet 2 and Rudra, Friday Release July 28, 2017

There is a lot of expectation from two new movies that relased in theater on July 28, 2017 – the sequel of ‘Prem Geet’ – ‘Prem Geet 2’ and a movie featuring Nikhil Upreti in negative role, ‘Rudra’. There is a huge fan-base for both the films.

The movie by the writer and director Ramsharan Pathak features Pradeep Khadka, Ashlesha Thakuri, Kailash Katuwal, Shraddha Prasai, Shishir Bhandari, Kabita Regmi etc. in main roles. The sequel of super hit movie ‘Prem Geet’ features the lead actor of the movie. Another sequel, featuring the actress Pooja Sharma, ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ is also running in the third week. There is a hope that ‘Prem Geet 2’ will also be as successful as the previous movie.

What happened to Sharon Shrestha harassment accusation against Sunil Rawal ?

The actress of Sunil Rawal’s only flop film ‘Sayaad 2’, Sharon Shrestha has accused the producer of harassment during shooting of the movie.

Some of Sharon’s accusations:

  • Sunil Rawal was very touchy. He used to touch the actresses, touch their hands and tried to hug them.
  • He forced them to drink wine in his birthday in Pokhara during the shooting of ‘Saayad 2’.
  • Sunil held and carried two ‘Saayad 2’ actresses during the birthday celebration.
  • Sunil used to whisper in ear and kiss her in the ear.
  • Sunil had proposed her to be his girlfriend. In return, he promised to help her become the air hostess at Simrik Air.

But, after that, Sharon and Sunil Rawal reached in an undisclosed agreement and have agreed not to talk about the issue anymore. In the agreement, neither of the party have told anything about the things they had told in the past.

Does that mean, Sharon was true in all of her statement?

Why Rekha’s face is hidden in Rudra Priya first look poster?

The first look poster of upcoming Rekha Thapa movie, ‘Rudrapriya’ was released recently. In all the posters of the movie, half portion of actress Rekha Thapa is hidden by the hem of her Saree.

The poster of the movie made under Rekha Films banner is different from the posters of previous Rekha Films banner movies. The colour and the presentation style is quite different. There is a possibility that the different looks is becasue of the director, Sudip Bhupal Singh and his concept.

In one of the posters, Rekha Thapa is holding the hand of Aryan Sigdel. Half portion of Rekha’s face is hidden. In another poster Rekha and Aryan are facing different directions. Rekha’s has clinched fist and a determined look. Only half portion of Rekha’s face is visible in this poster too.

Chhakka Panja 2 song music stolen, Deepak Raj Giri responds

A song titled ‘A Daju Nasamau …’ was released on Friday and got an immediate popularity. But, the music of the song was accused to be stolen from a veteran musician Kancha Magar Nepali. The original musician wasn’t even credited in the music video. The video got additional views because of the scandal.

It was accused that the music arranger and the singer Almoda Ran Uprety had copied the song when Prince Nepali had once played it to him. The great-grandson of Kanchha Magar, Prince Nepali, is a well known sarangi player in Nepal. Right after the issue was covered in the media, the credit to the original composer was added in the comment section of the video. The producer and the actor of the movie, Deepak Raj Giri, admitted the mistake in a status update in Facebook. Full statement of Deepak is:

Friday Release – Dr. Khatey and Meri Kusum

Two new movies are released in theatre in Nepal on July 21, 2017. The movies titled ‘Dr. Khatey’ and ‘Meri Kusum’ were not promoted much at the time of the release. Last week’s release ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ and ‘Sayaad 2’ are still being screened in a number of theatres so, these new movies will get less number of theatre to start with.

About ‘Dr. Khatey’

A movie made on the story of street children is directed by Rabi Aryal. The movie made on the story of Jagadishwor Thapa and Rabi Aryal features Roshani KC, Samrat Sapkota, Shilpa Pokharel, Kumar Gjurel, Amrity Pariyar etc. in main roles. The cinematographer of the film is Divya Subedi, editing by Tara Thapa, and music by Sachin Singh.

Friday Release – Sayaad 2 and Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu

Two new movies, both the sequels of hit moviies, ‘Sayaad 2’ and ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ were released in theatre on Friday – July 14, 2017. One is the sequel of hit movie ‘Sayaad’ and another that of ‘Prem Geet’.

About ‘Sayaad 2’

The movie is written and directed by Pusparaj T Neupane. It features a new artists and a new story when compared to the original of the sequel. Produced by Sunil Rawal, the movie features Sushil Shrestha, Sharon Shrestha, Amrit Dhungana, Kushal Pandey, Sushil Sitaula, Nisha Karki, and the producer Rawal in different roles. The movie is made on the story of Sunil Rawal, dialogue by Kedar Bhusal. Dirgha Khadka has edited the movie.

About ‘Kismat 2’

The movie is the sequel of superhit movie ‘Kismat’ featuring Rekha Thapa in leading role. The sequel features the new sweetheart of the producer, Chhabi Raj Ojha. According to Shilpa, the marriage between the two is confirmed and they are waiting for the ‘go-ahead’ message from the astrologer. The marriage rumour between the two helped the movie to get a lot of media attention. Although the success of ‘Lazza’ can also be attributed to a similar rumour during the release of the movie the rumour wasn’t found much effective during the release of their third movie. The original movie featured actress Rekha Thapa with Biraj Bhatt and Aryan Sigdel in leading roles. None of the original cast are repeated in the sequel. The original was written and directed by Ujjwal Ghimire but the sequel is directed by Rishi Lamicchhane.

Star Cast of the movie

The movie features Shilpa Pokharel in leading role. It was the hat trick of Shilpa’s Chhabi Raj Ojha’s movie. Starting the first movie Shilpa was linked with Chhabi. Now, Shilpa and Chhabi both have confirmed that they are going to get married soon. She has also given her opinion about Chhabi’s relationship with her ex-wife, Rekha Thapa. A latest video report:

About Chhabi Raj Ojha:

I have covered in detail about the producer in previous posts and videos because he is considered one of the most successful film producers in Nepali movie industry. Previously he was the owner of Rekha Films until she divorced and took the banner with her. He is also credited to groom Rekha to become the top actress in the film industry. These days, Rekha is independently producing her movies. Now, Shilpa seem to be going in the same path. Shilpa was a co-producer of Chhabi in their upcoming movie ‘Mangalam’.

Nepali movie – Premi (Sujana Dhakal)

UPDATE – the movie is updated as a photo scandal of the actress Sujana Dhakal started when she lost her mobile phone. Somebody posted her photos on her own Facebook page. I will write an update on the issue in a while. Enjoy the movie till then.

About ‘Premi’

The Nepali movie made on a triangular love story, ‘Premi’ was released on December 16, 2016. (Friday release news). The director Bibek Thapa has also written the script of the movie. The movie mostly features new actors like Kapil Gaire, Sujana Dhakal, Nishanta Pandey, Kashinath Panthi and Pashupati Nepal in main roles.The movie was released on December 16, 2016.

One of the producers of the movie, Krishna Shree Kafle had previously worked as a production manager in some Bollywood films and had also produced another Nepali movie ‘Udhum’. The movie ‘Premi’ was shot in locations in and around Butwal. The music is composed by Bikash Chaudhary and cinematography is done by Yam Ale, the action by Gopal Pariyar, editing by Rebel Thapa and the director Bibek Thapa is also the choreographer.

What did Pooja Sharma say about Bhuwan KC and Anmol KC?

Actress Pooja Sharma talked about actor Bhuwan KC and Anmol KC in one of her interviews. But, when the interview was published, a misleading title was published causing the mother of Anmol KC, Sushmita KC to express her dissatisfaction.

Here is the screenshot of what went around in the internet.

Sushmita seems to be in a hurry to respond to things. It was not the first time she has done so. She had expressed her anger against a journalist at the time of the release of her movie. The she also wrote hate words against Bhuwan KC a while ago. Now, she is defending Bhuwan KC.

The title of course is misleading, and it makes sense when Sushmita responded by the following statement:
