Who are the Miss Nepal 2017 contestants ?

The official list of the Miss Nepal contestants is yet to be released. I have compiled the list of contestants from unofficial sources.

Unlike previous years, the organizers chose 30 contestants to begin with and then they eliminated 10 contestants as they progress. The final 20 contestants will compete in the finale. I am compiling the list of 20 finalist contestants. The following list is the confirmed finalist according to the individual contestants.

I will update this post again after the official list is released. The confiremd contestants so far are:

UPDATE – Based on a photo uploaded by the official account of Miss Nepal in Instagram, there are 21 contestants including the daughter of the Miss Nepal choreographer Rachana Sharma Gurung – Amalia Sharma. It is interesting that there are two Rojina Shrestha and I am not sure which one is the contestant 7 – the Baneshowr one or the Mitrapark one. The previous unconfirmed list has to be :

Karishma joined the ‘Timi Sanga’ team for the shooting of the movie on April 25, 2017. 4 months long training with Anupam Kher made Surabina Karki a matured actress!

Yes, that is what Surabina Karkia said after the completion of a 4-months-long acting training in Mumbai. After the completion of the training at Anupam Kher’s training institute, Surabina told that she felt like a matured actress now and is now ready to do any types of roles in movies.

After returning from the training Surabina told, “Now onwards I will only do the selected movies. I will evaluate the reputation of the banner and will study my role before signing in.”

Who is Surabina Karki?

The Wait is over, Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki romance movie Kri shooting starts

That was a long wait — more than a year after the annoucement, the shooting of the next movie of Anmol KC has started in Lalitpur on April 24, 2017. That was after multiple delays and rumours.

On the first day of shooting the film crew members inaugurated the shooting at Budhanilkantha temple. The first shooting was held at Emperial Apartment, Sanepa, Lalitpur. According to reports, the shooting will last for 60 days at locations in Kathmandu and Abu Khaireni, Gorkha.

Two bodyguards – photos banned at the sets

I don’t have any photos of the inauguration of the movie. That is because, no photos were allowed at the sets of the movie. In addition to that, the lead actor Anmol KC is also provided with two bodyguards so that he won’t be disturbed by his fans at the set of the movie.

Anmol KC has been in the hiding with occasional surprise appearances a few times in the last one year. She reportedly was preparing for the movie and is supposed to be featured in a new looks in the new movie. He is also being paid the highest pay in the Nepali film industry for his role in the movie – 20 lakh.

About ‘Duniya’

The movie directed by Shiva Regmi was written by Suraj Subba Nalbo and produced by OB Films. In addition to script, Suraj had also written the dialogue of the movie. The story of the movie is written by the producer Binod Sherchan. The movie features Bhuwan KC with actress Tripti Nadkar. Other well known actresses include Niruta Singh and Mithila Sharma. Action star Nikhil Upreti and Rekha Thapa are also the main attraction of the movie. Biren Shrestha, Dinesh Sharma and Sunil Dutta Pandey are also well known actors featured in the movie.

The fight direction by Dev Maharjan, lyrics by Siva Regmi, Sundar Shrestha, Dayaram Pandey. Playback singers are Anand Karki, Udit Narayan Jha, Karna Das, Indira Joshi, Nima Rumba, Sadhana Sargam, background music by Sanjay Shrestha, choreography by Basanta Shrestha and Raju Shah, editor is Banish Shah and music director is Sambhujit Baskota. The movie ‘Duniya’ has multiple star casts including super hit actors of that time. The actors Bhuwan KC and Nirauta Singh were the hot cake at the time of the release of the movie. Niruta has left the film industry but Bhuwan is still active in the film industry. Bhuwan’s last movie as a director, ‘Dreams’ was very successful.

These days, actor Nikhil Upreti capturing the attention of the Nepali film viewers. The latest release, ‘Radhe’ is is performing very well in theatre.

Rekha Thapa, Tripti Nadkar, Sunil Dutt Pandey, and Dinesh Sharma are some other well known actors in the movie. In overall – the movie is a full package of superstars of the Nepali film industry.

Miss Nepal 2017 training kicks off, Finale on June 2

The 2017 edition of Miss Nepal beauty contest has started on April 19, 2017 with an orientation program in Kathmandu. The 22nd edition of the contest has 30 initial participants. The contestants this year included young girls from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Dhulabari and Chitwan. One third of these participants will be eliminated before the 20 contestants are selected for the finale contest to be held on June 2, 2017.

Four Miss Nepal titles this year

In the past contests there used to be top 3 titles selected to participate in three different international beauty contests. This year, one more title is added to send a Nepali beauty to Miss Asia Pacific contest. To select the top 4, top 7 finalists will compete in the final round. In the past three winners used to be selected from the final round of Top 5 contestants.

For the first time in Miss Nepal contest, some of the contestants also participated in the audition remotely. The girls living abroad who wanted to participate in Miss Nepal also participated in the audition through Skype call. The organizers have told that they are expecting participants from Dubai and Hong Kong.

Highly competitive

According to the organizers, this year’s Miss Nepal contest is going to be highly competitive because of the participants from the diverse professional fields. There are well known professional models, engineers, architects, entrepreneurs and girls from other fields. It is going to be tough for the winner to excel in such a diverse and talented contestant pool.

The story of the Minister Janardan Sharma’s commitment of electricity to everybody and the role of the chief of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising to manage the electricity in such a way that the loadshedding was completely eradicated.

In the movie Rajesh Hamal is featured as minister, Sharma and Bijaya Lama is featured as Ghising. The movie made by Shuva Media Home is made on Abhimanyu Nirabi.

Priyanka Karki and Ayushman Desraj affair, the strategist mother steps in!

Priyanka Karki has found a boyfriend, 5 years younger than herself (yes yes, the age doesn’t matter). Before, Priyanka Karki, Ayushman and Paramita RL Rana were almost married (yes, it is their personal life). The boyfriend Ayushman Desraj Joshi Shrestha is a celebrity son – son of a stunning banker, Raveena Desraj Shrestha.

Celebrity gossips are juicy and fun, readers love them. They also care about their favourite celebrities and always wish them the best. We often forget that, celebrities are also human and that they are also entitled to have a private life.

Every private moments of Priyanka and Ayushman have been public affair for a while. I had also shared some paparazzi style photos of the couple in Pokhara. I have a couple of more exclusive photos to share in this post (Hint – they are at the end :). But, there is nothing wrong with the photos, as they are just going around in public places. Most of the people who saw them would say “Hey, isn’t that Priyanka and Ayushman?” and go on doing what they were doing. One of my friends went a step further and took these photos.

It seems, Priyanka and Ayushman have taken the negative comments elegantly – but, the mother, Raveena, seems to be a bit more concerned of her son and his affairs. The mom, Raveena Desraj seems to be handling the case in a typical technical/managerial way. After all, she is a banker! I hope, she understands hearts as well as money!

First, Raveena invited Ayushman’s ex-girlfriend, Paramita RL Shah (my assumption, based on the photo she shared). Both Raveena and Paramita shared a photo of the three – Pramita, Raveena and her younger son and Ayushman’s borther – Ashirman Desraj Joshi Shrestha.

As if that was not enough, Raveena wrote a long post in Instagram, sharing a childhood photo of her son on the next day.

21 years old Ranju – Mayor candidate of Kathamandu, Karishma suggests Hamal to participate in election

Bibekshil Nepali has chosen a young and deserving candidate for the post of Mayor in Kathmandu. Although there is a little hope of her winning the election, she sure seems to be an interesting candidate. Let me dive into who Ranju Darshana is.

Who is Ranju Darshana?

Born in 2052 BS, Ranju lives with her single mom. She is currently doing her Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies in National College, Baluwatar.

Ranju wasn’t fan of the city closure for a political agenda. She is the advocate of disciplined politics. She told that her candidacy is the protest against “political syndicate.”

Ranju Darashana had been quite active in all the programs and protest program held by Bibekshil Nepal for the last three years. She says that she has a goal to make the city clean and beautiful.
