An upcoming movie, ‘Jatra’ is going to feature actress Namrata Shrestha and actor Saugat Malla in lead roles. The movie will be the first movie in which these popular actors will be acting in opposite roles. Previously, Saugat and Namrata were also featured in ‘Chadke’.
Nepali actress Namrata Shrestha went to Bal Mandir in Naxal to celebrate her 27th birthday. The event was organized by the team of her upcoming movie ‘Maun’. To celebrate her birthday, Namrata cut the cake and feed the students. The director of ‘Maun’ Suraj Bhusal also feed the cake to the student.
Apart from celebration of Namrata’s birthday, a first look poster of the movie was also released in the program. With a tagline “a loud silence” the love story movie features Arpan Thapa and Namrataa Shrestha in the leading roles. The story and script of the movie is written by Arpan Thapa and is jointly produced by Navin Gauli and the director Bhushal.

Nepali actress Rekha Thapa has supported Sumina Ghimire and accused the journalists at onlinekhabar of creating such an environment. She accused journalists being irresponsible to the private lives of actresses and causing unnecessary tension.
In a page-long statement titled ‘We artists aren’t robots’, Rekha had quoted the incidents of the death of actress Shrisha Karki and actress Jesika Khadka (Jyoti Khadka). She also accused journalist of focusing on Namrata Shrestha on the case of the release of her sex video and not talking about the male involved in the video.

After a very good publicity a equally good response from the promotional matters, ‘Chadke’ was released all over Nepal on 22th February. ‘Chadke’, said to be an environmental thriller movie, is based on youths and the environment of Chitwan area. The movie is the debut movie of director Nigam Shrestha, and he had also assisted ‘Loot‘ as an assistant director. ‘Chadke’ features Namrata Shrestha, Robin Tamang, Arpan Thapa, Dayahang Rai, and Sushil Pokharel in leading roles.
Chitwan is ruled by a multi-ethnic six-member gang named Royal gang. The leader of Royal gang, Chewang Lama, haa political backing and his gang smuggles and sells Chitwan National Park animals to foreigners. The opposing political party supports a small gang of Bindu and offers Rs. 50 lakhs bounty to kill Chewang Lama. In the meantime, Royal gang’s member obstruct the work of a researcher who had come to study about plants and species in the National Park. The movie is all about these the researcher, Bindu, Chewang, and their gangs. I don’t want to kill the excitement of watching the movie by revealing the plot.
Nepali movie ‘Chadke’ is releasing on Friday, February 22, 2013. The movie directed by Nigam Shrestha features Saugat Malla, Namrata Shrestha, Robin Tamang, Arpan Thapa, Dayahang Rai, and Sunil Pokharel in main roles.
The movie features the cinematography of Sanjay Lama and Hari Bahadur Ghale(Lama), music direction of Jason Kunwar, editing of Lokesh Bajracharya and Dirga Khadka, and story/script/dialogue of Nigam Shrestha. ‘Chadke’, a story of gangsters of Chitwan, portrays the life of gangsters of our society. The thriller movie was awarded an adult certificate due to matured contents in its dialogues.
In an interview with xnepali the director Nigam Shrestha told that ‘Chadke is about content, performance and music‘.
Nigam Shrestha debuted as a director in his upcoming movie ‘Chadke’, scheduled to release this Friday. He had worked as an assistant director in one of the most popular movies of modern time, ‘Loot‘ and has repeated some of the casts of the movie in his debut movie. Nigam Shrestha – ‘Chadke’ is a story of gangsters of Chitwan. ‘Chadke’ is a thriller movie and also related to environment of Nepal . In short ‘Chadke’ is a movie that is made to entertain the audiences.
Nepali movie ‘Chhadke’ was awarded an ‘A’ certificate – not suitable for audience younger than 16-years. After the evaluation of the movie, the Censor Board had censored some of the dialogues and awarded the certificate because of vulgar words in the movie.
The official song of Nigam Shrestha’s upcoming movie ‘Chhadke’ is released on Saturday. The song titled “Haatti- Bhaalu” is shot on Saugat Malla.
In an upcoming movie by director Samjhana Upreti Rauniar, Namrata Shrestha is going to be featured as the lead character, Megha. The movie named ‘Megha’ will also feature Saugat Malla in lead role. Actor Siddhartha Koirala (Manisha’s brother) will also have a role in the movie. The movie was announced in November after performing puja in Karya Vinayak temple in Lalitpur. During the puja, Actress Manisha Koirala had joined her brother Siddhartha Koirala and the crew members of the movie including the director Samjhana, actors Namrata and Saugat. Nepali movie ‘Kollywood’ is going to be premiered in Doha, Qatar on January 11, 2013. The International Artist Forum(IAF) Qatar is organizing the premier show of the movie made on the story of struggle done by a typical newcomer actress in Nepali movie industry.
The movie will be featured in Doha Cinema Hall at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM. In the show, ‘Kollywood’ actors Priyanka Karki, Aryan Sigdel, and other team members will also be present during the show.

‘Chadke’ is planned to be released in the first week of February 2013. The story of the movie made on a story of gangster is written and directed by Nigam Shrestha. He told that he has left no stone unturned to make the movie interesting.
Actress Namrata Shrestha had been seeing Prem Ghale for some time and now she has updated her relationship status in her Facebook profile reflecting their close relationship. This news however is not new. The affair about the two started in late 2010 and were seen for the first time together in the premier of the movie ‘Acharya’. After that, the couple are usually seen together and Namrata has also been posting their photos in her Facebook profile.
This year, on Valentine day, Namrata posted their photo in Facebook, confirming the intimate relationship.
It seems, the relationship has been pretty stable for a couple of years and it might be the life-long relationship.
