In a program held in Kathmandu, Hamal told about his plan to get married in Falgun (February – March). In his previous plan they was planning to get married a month earlier in Magh, but, because of some problem the marriage is delayed by a month.
MR Films’ presentation ‘Rang’ is the debut movie of long time Rajesh Hamal’s assistant, Roshan Thakuri. The movie was released on February 15 of 2013. Karishma’s sexy yellow dress was the topic of talk during the release announcement ceremony of the movie.
For the first time in his acting career the top actor of Nepali movie industry, Rajesh Hamal, has done a theater play. The play titled ‘Court Martial’ has started in Theater Village on Friday, November 22. The first show was done only for the press and will be open for the general public starting Saturday.
The play featuring Rajesh Hamal, Dayahang Rai, Deeya Maskey, BS Rana, Karma, Subash Thapa and others is directed by Anup Baral. The play is written by an Indian writer, Swadesh Deepak, has been played for more than 4,000 times in four South Asian countries.
The current election is considered to be one of the most important step towards the future of Nepal as a country. For that reason, most of the artists of the Nepali film industry have been actively participating in the election awareness. Most of them have joined one of the many political parties and those who haven’t joined any party are also actively participating in the awareness of people about their voting rights.
Nepali superstar Rajesh Hamal is going to vote in the constituency no. 6 in Kathamndu. He is not affiliated to any party and he is also asking everybody to vote in the election.
Actress Karishma Manandhar is voting at Kathmandu constituency no. 3. Karishma is also one of the few artists who is not a member of any political party. She has also been asking every Nepali to vote the truthful and capable person in the election.
After conducting musical programs in 16 cities by 40 different artists, the election awareness musical tour has concluded in a program held at Durbar Square. The event organized by the Election Commission of Nepal was supported by USAID and IFES.
On the final program at Durbar Square the super star of Nepali movie industry, Rajesh Hamal also danced. Other artists present in the program include comedy actors Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Binita Baral, Parbati Rai, Ram Krishna Dhakal, Shankar BC, Sugam Pokharel, Aim Baral, Ram Krishna Dhakal, Nisha Sunar, Pashupati Sharma, Asta Raut, RP Bhattari, Sanjeep Pradhan and others.

In a program held in Kathmandu the first look of a movie made on gambling ‘Gambler’ was released. The movie made by Yadav Gurung under YAAC banner is written and directed by Ramesh Budhathoki.
‘Gambler’ features Rajesh Hamal and Suman Singh in main roles. Other actors in the movie include Bina Budhathoki, Kalpana Shahi, Sonia KC, Mohan Nirula and others. Although the release date is yet to be announced, the movie was completed two years ago. Director Budhathoki told that the movie is made on the story of crime and social trouble caused by casino.
Actor Rajesh Hamal has turned 49 years old on June 9. Born in a hospital in Palpa in 1964, Rajesh has been active in the Nepali film industry for the last quarter century.
Rajesh Hamal debuted in Yugdekhi Yugsamma’ in 1989 and managed to win the National award for the role in the movie. Rajesh Hamal had done masters in English literature from Chandigadh University and was one of the most educated person in the film industry.
