Bhuwan KC son getting married in the USA

The son of actor Bhuwan KC from his first wife, Bijaya KC, Vivek KC is getting married in the USA. Bhuwan is flying to the USA to attend the marriage ceremony to be held on July 4. Bhuwan’s first wife Bijaya has been living in the USA for a long time. Vivek KC is marrying another US resident girl, Natasha KC.

Bijaya and Bhuwan’s daughter Kajal KC was married in Nepal in 2011. The high profile marriage was attended by high level political leaders including the ex-king Gyanendra. Bhuwan had named his production company Kajal Films after his daughter.

Singer Nisha Sunar gave birth to a daughter of choreographer Shankar BC in the USA. It was Nisha’s third marriage and second one of Shankar. In the USA, Nisha is going to start singing in a Nepali restaurant, Chautari Restaurant. A new management of the restaurant located at Jackson Height, New York, is going to feature singers like Yam Baral and Nisha Sunar.

The restaurant will feature live dohori songs on every weekends starting on Friday evenings to Sundays. While folk singer Bimal Dangi and Nisha Sunar sing lok dohori, Yam Baral sings songs and ghazals in the restaurant.

In a latest rumor, Gauri Malla has returned from the USA after she failed to get the resident card – Green Card. Gauri landed in Kathmandu at around 3:30 PM on March 14 with actor Ramesh Upreti. She has no plans to return back to the USA and will be busy making her dream project titled ‘Gauri’.

Before leaving US, Gauri had told that she was returning back to meet her sick mother. The statement is true – her 87 years-old mother is sick but, her plan of not returning back is because of the fact that she couldn’t get the Green Card. Gauri’s mother is preparing for a by-pass surgery in near future.

Valentine Night in Baltimore, USA turned sour when some got too drunk

An event held in the USA turned sour when some of the viewers got drunk and out of control. At the end of the program, some viewers were drunk the security personals couldn’t control them and had to call police to control the situation.

Nepali artists living in Baltimore area had organized the cultural night to celebrate the festival of love, Valentine Day. The event named Valentine Night featured singers Pabita Praiyar and Dinesh Bhandari. Other artists include Prem Raja Mahat, Sanjeep Pradhan, Sarishma Amatya, actor Ramesh Upreti, Bijaya Shrestha etc.

Biteka Pal to premier in US on January 8

The movie to release in theaters all over Nepal on January 10, ‘Biteka Pal’Â is going to be premiered in the USA on January 8. Dreams Entertainmetn is planning to screen the movie in St. Louis. The executive producer, Krish Rijal will be present in the premier ceremony.

After the premier, the movie will also be screened in other cites of the USA and Canada. Krish Rijal is coordinating the movie screening in US and Canada according to the demand of the local residents.

The audio of Rekha Thapa’s upcoming movie ‘Hamesha’ was released in a program organized in Los Angeles, California. The audio was released during Rekha’s first US visit. A social worker, Veda Bhakta Joshi, had launched the audio in the program.

After reaching the USA, Rekha Thapa had posted a few photos of hers on Facebook, wearing a scarf with UK/US flag printed on it. Some journalists had criticized Rekha for wearing such a scarf and accused her of embracing foreign lifestyle. Such an accusations have hurt Rekha’s sentiment and she told us, “I Love my country Nepal for ever.”

Hurt by the media report, she wore a Nepali flag on her chest. But, to her dismay, nobody noticed the photo and there were no report about Rekha’s love for her nation.

Nepali actress Saranga Shrestha is getting married to Ramesh Karki in Maryland, USA. Saranga has been living in the US for the last 12 year. This is the second marriage of Saranga after previous marriage didn’t go well.

Ramesh Karki is originally from Magydi and is working as a retailer of restaurant. The engagement ceremony was held on the Christmas Day and the couple will be legally married in the first week of February in the court.

Production House, Group One Creation, is so impressed with the direction of Navaraj Acharya that, it has given him the rights to release the movie ‘Kollywood’ in the USA.

According to the producer of ‘Kollywood’, Tanka Karki, the company is in the process of transferring the overseas rights to Acharya. The director, Acharya, is excited by the responsibility and says that the task has motivated him to make even better movies.

Rekha Thapa to visit USA, showing 'Lanka' in Qatar

Actress Rekha Thapa had been quite busy lately. She was recently in Dubai to take two awards of being the best actress and then went back to Nepal to receive another award of being the best actress. She is currently in Qatar to show her latest movie ‘Lanka’.

In a latest report, after she returns from Qatar, her next destination is going to be the USA.

According to DC Nepal, Rekha has already got the US visa and she will participate in various programs in the US while screening ‘Lanka’ to the Nepali living in the US.

Manisha Koirala in USA for further checkup and treatment

Actress Manisha Koirala is currently in the US for further checkup and treatment after being diagnosed of cancer in India.

While in Nepal for Tihar, she got sick and admitted to a hospital in Kathmandu. She was initially thought to be suffering from food poisoning. When she fainted, the doctors decided that something much serious was the case and referred her to Indian hospital. She was admitted to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai where she was diagnosed of having ovarian cancer. As the cancer was in it’s initial stage the doctors were confident that they could cure Manisha. But, Manisha’s friends and families wanted a better treatment and suggested an US hospital for further treatment.

The registration for for Miss T.E.E.N Nepal Pageant Nepal is open and deadline of its submission is 30^th November 2012.

The final of the beauty contest will be held on 2 February 2013. The title winner of the contest will represent Nepal to an international beauty pageant, Miss T.E.E.N Pageant, 2013 to be held in Houston Texas USA from June 24-29, 2013. The full form of T.E.E.N is Teens Exemplifying Excellence Nationally.
