Rekha to introduce her nephew, Avash Adhikari, in Rampyari

Rekha Films is known to introduce new actors in Nepali film industry and actress Rekha Thapa has continued the practice. In her upcoming movie, Rekha is planning to introduce a new face, Avash Adhikari. Avash is the son of Rekha’s elder sister.

In preparation for his role in the movie, Avash is taking dance and acting training. Actor Sunil Pokharel is teaching acting to 22-years-old Avash. With Avash actress Ashma DC will also be featured in ‘Rampyari’. In reports, Avash had lived in his maternal home and was a good friend of Rekha since his childhood.

Suchitra Acharya, lost mobile and sex video in fake Facebook accounts

UPDATE: JBKC producer Yogendra has claimed that the videos were fake and the person who created them had tried to blackmail him asking $2,000 for the video. Yogendra also shared the screenshots of the communication with the blackmailer. Screenshots of the communication are posted at the end. The original post continues:

Two videos probably taken by the Nepali actress living in Australia, Suchitra Acharya, have surfaced in fake Facebook account right after she lost her mobile phone. The activities recorded in the video seem to be recorded by actress of forthcoming movie ‘Jung Bahadur ko Coat’.

According to report published in Onlinekhabar, one of the video shows the producer Yogendra Khadka having a video chat with a woman and playing with himself. In another video Suchitra’s husband is seen similarly playing with himself. The video of Yogendra was released by creating a fake account by Yogendra’s name and the video of Suchitra’s husband, Niranjan Baskota, was released on the fake account created under her own name.

Its official, Chhabi camp to make female oriented movies only

It is a well known fact that most of the movies produced in Chhabi’s production house had always been female oriented movies. After spending the last 25 years producing Nepali movies, Chhabi has decided that he will only produce female-centered movies in future.

Last year, Chhabi tried a new area – a male-centered movie, ‘Loafer’ (watch ‘Loafer’ here). When the only male-centered movie became a total failure, Chhabi has publicly announced that he will always make female-centered movies. He was talking to an online magazine about his upcoming release ‘Hawaldar Suntali’. The movie is releasing with other big name movies like ‘Seto Bagh’ and ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’.

Jharana Bajracharya to retire from acting

After getting married a fortnight ago, ex-Miss Nepal and actress Jharana Bajracharya has told that she is retiring from acting after the marriage. Speaking in a program organized by Upasana Women Saving and Credit Cooperative on March 25, Jharana told that the life after marriage will be different from the one she had lived before it. Jharana is a member of the cooperative locate in Sita Paila, Kathmandu.

Jharana had married a Malaysian citizen, Rahul Agarwal, in the wedding ceremony held on March 12. The news of the marriage made into the media only after the newly-wed couple went to the honeymoon trip to Pokhara and Mustang.

Two new Nepali movies are releasing in theater this week. A triangular love story ‘Bhul Bhulaiya’ and a crime thriller movie ‘Sadanga’ are releasing on March 27, 2015.

Manisha Koirala making a comeback in Game, looks as good as ever

Bollywood actress of Nepali origin, Manisha Koirala, is ready to make a comeback in movies. She had to take a break when she was diagnosed of cancer in 2012. She went to the USA for the treatment and returned back to India after being cured in 2013.

Manisha’s comeback movie ‘Game’ is being made in Tamil and Kannada languages. In her Twitter post Manisha told that she had started the shooting on March 23.

The shooting of upcoming movie of Karishma Manandhar, ‘Falgu’ has finished in the East Nepal. After the shooting in Koshi barrage in Birgunj, the shooting of the comeback movie of Karishma completed.

Bhul Bhulaiya premier show didn’t spark the interest

A premier show of upcoming movie ‘Bhul Bulaiya’ was held in Big Cinemas on March 23. The movie by director Yogesh Ghimire received mixed reaction from the audience. The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel, Neeta Dhungana and Sohit Manandhar in leading role was premiered by Jiwan in various places in the USA. In the premier show Neeta and Sohit were present. Jiwan Luitel is yet to return from his USA tour.

‘Bhul Bhulaiya’ is releasing this Friday with ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’ and ‘Hawaldar Suntali’. The director Yogesh told that he has made ‘Bhul Bhulaiya’ much more commercial than his previous hit ‘Notebook’. In that process, he admitted making some mistakes. The movie made on a love story features a refreshing music. The viewers however weren’t much happy in the presentation of the movie. Negative reaction from the viewers during the premier is likely to hurt the movie business and drive viewers to other movies.

Lal Jodi, next movie of Laxman Subedi to go to floor in the New Year

The song recording of the second movie of journalist Laxman Subedi has completed in Kathmandu. Laxman Subedi debuted in film direction in ‘Euta Sathi’ and he is producing his second movie titled ‘Lal Jodi’ in his own direction and script.

Thamel dot com shooting starts, first look poster released

At the time of the shooting of Gopi Krishna Movie’s next project ‘Thamel Dot Com’ a first look poster is released. The shooting has started on Mondey, March 23, at a beautiful location in Charikot. The film crew will shot some scenes of the songs and other scene in the area.

The movie being directed by Raj Kumar Sharma featurs Anup Bikram Shahi, Parmod Agrahari, Naren Khadka, and Neeta Pokharel in main roles. Leading actors in the movie can be seen in the first look poster released by the production team.

Silsila 2, another sequel to be made

One more sequel is announced recently. The sequel of Biraj Bhatt starrer hit movie ‘Silsila’ is also in making (watch ‘Silsila’ here). The producers of the original movie Raj Timilsina and CP Poudel are teaming up again to produce the sequel.

The technicians and the artists of the movie are yet to be finalized. The script work is told to be going on. In the original ‘Silsila’ Rekha Thapa, Raj Timilsina, Sonia KC were featured with Biraj Bhatt. The songs of the movie were also liked very much. Among the original casts, there is less likely that Biraj would be interested in working in the movie because of his busyness in Bhojpuri movies. Rekha also prefers her own banner to other banner.

The Censor Board has certified that the Chhabi Raj Ojha production movie ‘Hawaldar Suntali’ is suitable for the viewers of all age by awarding an ‘U’ rating. The movie to release on April 3 is made under Chhabiraj Films banner.

The movie made on a real story of the rape of a police officer Suntali Dhami by her own colleagues, features Shilpa Pokharel in the role of Suntali. Directed by Rishi Lamichane, the movie features Sabin Shrestha and Kishor Khatiwada with Shilpa in leading roles.
