Nepali film ‘Ke Bho Launa Ni’ is a a film by Anupama production. The movie features the music of Sachin Singh, editing of Shiva Puri, action by NB Maharjan, choreography by Kamal Rai / Anupama Koirala, cinematography by Shiva Kishor Dhakal. The lyrics of the film are written by Kiran Kharel and the film is produced and written by the director Anish Koirala. This is the first movie of Anupama Koirala under the production house named after herself. The movie also introduces Pukar Bhattarai.
This Friday on Februray 20, 2015 only one Nepali movie, ‘Ichhya’ (or ‘Ichchha’ as shown in the poster) is releasing in theater. Before the final release in theater, the movie was premiered on Sunday evening in F Cube multiplex. The film crew and journalists were invited to the premier show.
The movie directed by Munal Ghimire is made under the banner PLM Films named after its three producers Nabin Shrestha, Laxman Poudel and Prakash Ghimire. The movie features Dayahang Rai, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi, Om Pratik, Deshbhakta Khanal, Aakash Pal, Ayushma Karki, and Rashmi Bhatta in main roles. The movie is made on a social story about marriage. The movie tries to give a message that marriage should not be forced upon the youngsters.
UPDATE – The Minister of Communication has handed over the World Record certificate to Saugat Bista in a program held in Kathmandu. Congratulation 8-years-old director, Saugat Bista, you have made it (7 years at the time of release of the film)! The ‘Love you Baba’ director Saugat Bista is awarded the Gunnies World Record of being the youngest film director in the world. In the certificate, it is clearly written that Saugat is "The youngest director of a professionally made feature length film."
Although he was told to be 8-years old in the marketing materials of his film, it turns out that he was a few days shy of being 8-years old at the time of the release of his film. Saugat Bista was born on January 6, 2007 and was 7 years and 340 days when his film ‘Love You Baba’ was released in cinemas on December 12, 2014.
In a report, ‘Samaya’ actor Vicky Malla has run away with an underage girl and got married. They ran away on the love day, Valentines Day, February 14, 2015 and got married. Vicky and Bhumika Singh Thakuri had reportedly planned the marriage with Vicky’s mother, Mausami Malla‘s approval. The photos Vicky and Bhumika have shared in Facebook indicate that they are living in Pokhara after getting married.
According to the report, Bhumika’s parents were not willing to let her marry Vicky saying that she is not old enough. But according to the date of birth in her Facebook profile she is 19 years-old, old enough to make such decisions.
Two actress, three singers and a comedy actor have arrived in Malaysia for the ncell event to be held there on Feburary 19, 20 and 21. The actresses Priyanka Karki and Deepa Shree Niraula are accompanied by actor Deepak Raj Giri. Singers include Sunita Dulal, Khuman Adhikari and Shiva Pariyar.

The event on February 19 is to be held at Penang from 1 PM to 5 PM, February 20 event is scheduled to be held at Johor Bahru from 1 PM to 5 PM, and the last event on February 21 is scheduled at the same time at Kuala Lampur.
The movie produced by Govinda Shahi and a presentation of Deepak Kumar Shahi, ‘Parai’ was the last movie of the late director Shiva Regmi. (list of Shiva Regmi’s films) Director Regmi died on December of 2013, a month before the movie was released in theater in January 2014.
The story of the movie is written by Shivam Adhikari, music by Basanta Sapkota. The lyrics of the film are composed by Shib Regmi,Basanta Sapakota,Dayaram Pande,Naresh BHatarai and Nabaraj Lamsal. The singers are Bhishan Mukarung, Dipak Limbu, Swarup Raj Aacharya, Rajina Rimal, Rajesh Payal Rai, and Mandavi Tripathi.
In addition to the actors mentioned, actor Rajesh Hamal will also be featured in cameo role, like the one in the first sequel. There is no mention of actress Rekha Thapa who was one of the actors in the original movie.
In an event held in Kathmandu a new Nepali movie ‘Love Birds’ was announce on the Valentine Day, Feb 14, 2015. The movie to be directed by Suresh Darpan Pokharel is made on love and romance. The movie will feature Salon Basnet, Sanjog Koirala, Paul Shah and Barsha Raut in main roles. Barsha Raut and Paul Shah are debuting in the Nepali film industry in the movie.
The movie ‘Love Birds’ to be produced by journalist Shanti Priya is made under Parichaya Nepal banner. The movie is told to be made on the love story of the young generation. The movie will feature all aspects of love relationship like love, revenge and life. Director Pokharel says that the movie is ‘larger than life’ project. The film makers also told that the Australia rights has already been sold even before the shooting of the film has started.
Two new Nepali movies are released on this Friday, February 13, 2015. The movies released to take advantage of the Valentine Day crowd on Feb 14, ‘One Way’ and ‘Suntali’ both are the awaited movies. Both the movies look promising but, we need to wait a while to know which of the films appeals the love birds.

One Way
The movie featuring Siddhartha Gurung, Mala Subba, Karishma Manandhar, Rabin Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai and others is a gangster themed film. The movie got positive reviews on the premier show held on Wednesday. The movie directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ is shot by three cameras. The film by RC Pictures banner is a story of new generation and old generation and night life in Kathmandu.
A presentation of Manoj Adhikari, the Nepali film ‘Ritu’ was fully shot in Australia. The movie also marks the debut of Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi as a leading actress in the Nepali film industry. Malina had however appeared in a song in ‘Kollywood‘ before signing in ‘Ritu’. The movie was premiered in Kathmandu and Sydney, Austraila simultaneously. The film is produced by Apil Bista Films Production and Ashok Gautam Films in association with ALP Entertainment / Planet 3 Films. The cinematographer is Bhusan Prajapati, editor / colorist is Bharat Mani Regmi and story / screenplay / dialogue written by Sandeep Badal.
Nepali movie ‘Suntali’ was premiered in Kathmandu a day before the official release date, February 13, 2015. The comedy movie directed by Bhaskar Dhungel was premiered in Kumari theater in Kathmandu. Bhaskar is also one of the investors of QFX multiplex. Digital Cinema Nepal (DCN) has also invested in the film.
‘Suntali’ features Priyanka Karki, Arpan Thapa, Suryamala Khanal and Karma in leading roles. The director and producer Bhaskar Dhungana is known more as a producer than a director. The directorial debut of the director Sajan Shrestha, Nepali movie ‘Punarjanma’ is scheduled to release in theater on March 6, 2015. In a press meet held in Kathmandu on February 10 the film production team informed the press about the content of the film and why the viewers would like to watch the movie.
In recent times a number of movies are made into thriller and horror genre. Movies like ‘Soul Sister‘, ‘Tandav‘, ‘Mukahuta‘, ‘Chhadke‘ and likes are trying to scare the viewers and create an uneasy suspense for the entertainment of the viewers. But, are the Nepali people ready for such type of thriller movies? The question is not easy to answers. But, based on the track record, the movies that appeal the most viewers in Nepal are the masala films with love, romance, suspense, and entertainment. A trailer of a new movie ‘Zhigrana’ was recently released and it seems the film also follows the same trend with a bit of sex and kiss scene added in it. Will it appeal the audience? We will know in less than a month when it is released in theater in March.
The Nepali movie scheduled to release in theater on March 6, 2015, ‘Zhigrana’ seem to contain a bit of racy scenes in addition to violence and blood. The kissing and bed scenes shown in the promotional trailer of the film features actor Nikun Shrestha and Menuka Pradhan is intimate cuddling and sex.
The trailer gives an impression that the film is full of suspense and terror in the journey of seven friends. In addition to the story and suspense, the film makers are also try to cash on the sex scenes.
