Actress Keki Adhikari celebrated her birthday with the team of ‘Rajja Rani’ in Kathmandu. In the celebration, film crew and journalists were present to wish her birthday wishes. In the event, Keki refused to reveal her real age. Talking about the celebration, Keki said, “What I like most of birthday celebration is, I can feel like a child.”
In the celebration Keki also requested everybody to watch her upcoming movie ‘Rajja Rani’. The movie is directed by Yam Thapa and features Keki with Kameshowr Charasiya, Deepak Chhetri, Sangita Napit etc.

About ‘Aabeg’
The movie is a presentation of Surya Karki for Yaman Bridge Nepal. It is directed by Basanta Niraula, the husband of actress Pabitra Acharya. The movie featuring actors Aryan Sigdel, Dhruba Dutta, Pabitra Acharya, Archana Delala and Ramesh Budhathoki features the action of Asta Maharjan, cinematography of Purushottam Pradhan, music of Tanak Budhathoki and script is written by Krian Michael. The choreographer of the songs in the movie is Kabiraj Gahatraj and the editors are Shahil Khana and Milan Shrestha. The movie was releases in theatre in 2016. Read release news.
In a program held in Kathmandu, the trailer of highly awaited movie ‘Kri’ was released. In the program, the actor Anmol KC made public appearance after about one and a half year of hiding. In the program the actress of the movie, Aditi Budhathoki, was also present. Anmol KC and Aditi answered the questions raised by the journalists in the program. The controversy about the release and delay of Shweta Khadka’s movie ‘Kanchhi’ was also discussed in the program. Video report is attached at the end of this post.
A huge unrest occurred when the US DJ, Marshmello, didn’t show up in the scheduled show held at Club Deja Vu.
UPDATE – The owners of the club are arrested on the complaint that they organizers sold 7000 tickets for the event that is held at a night club with capacity 3,500. The organizers are also accused of the lack of the security at the venue. The police has told that they are not investigating about whether Marshmello came in Nepal or not. The organizers claim that the DJ had arrived in Nepal but couldn’t arrive at the venue because of the sickness. They say, he returned back the next day. But, as nobody has seen the real face of Marshmello, one can’t say if he had come to Nepal or not.
What had happened?
People paid Rs. 3000 to Rs. 5000 for the ticket to enjoy the DJing of US DJ, Marshmello in Kathmandu.
The show was scheduled on 13 December, 2017. People were eagerly waiting for the arrival of Marshmello. But, he didn’t show up and the organizers were telling that Marshmello is on his way.
But, at around 2:00 AM of the next day, the organizers announced the cancellation of the show. It turned out, Marshmello hadn’t arrived in Nepal at all.
People got pissed off. They started throwing beer cans and bottles towards the stage. Soon, the people started breaking things.
The police and the security guards couldn’t do anything.

The trailer of one of the most awaited movies in the Nepali movie industry is releasing today. The lead actor and the son of one of the producers of the movie, Anmol KC has also confirmed that the trailer is releasing today. Attached is the new poster of the movie featuring Anmol KC and Aditi Budhathoki in an embrace:
The posters released earlier featured Anmol KC in action avatar. The release date of the movie is also confirmed as February 9. Because of the possible competition, another movie scheduled to release on that day, ‘Kanchhi’ has decided to delay its release by a week. I had prepared a video report about the delay in the release of the Shweta Khadka movie.
Right after the election results were started to indicate that the Nepali Congress has lost the election, the prime ministers, Sher Bahadur Deuba, made some controversial decisions like appointing the Film Development Board (FDB) chief. The newly appointed chief, Nikita Poudel, is the daughter of Uddav Poudel, the owner of Gopi Krishna theatre and film producer. After the news of the appointment of Poudel, the president of the Film Directors Association, Suchitra Shrestha, wrote that Nikita had paid Rs. 5 million to the Minister of Information to get the appointment. She wrote, “When one appointment cost 50,00,000 (50 Lakh) how can Congress win…”
The decision to appoint Nikita was made on the cabinet meeting held on December 11, 2017. In the meeting the minister of Information Mohan Basnet had proposed Nikita Poudel for the post. The proposal was approved by the meeting. Apart from being a businessman, Nikita’s father is also the secretary of Kamal Thapa’s Rastriya Prajatantra Party. The trailer of the movie scheduled to release on Poush 28, ‘Mr. Jholay’ has been released recently. The movie featuring Dayahang Rai, Diwa Pun, Buddhi Tamang and Barsha Raut is directed by Ram Babu Gurung, the ‘Kabaddi’ famed director. Although the movie is a sequel of ‘Jholay’ a movie released four years ago, the storyline in the trailer sounds more like ‘Kabaddi’ sequel.
In the program organized to announce the trailer, one of the producers, Tekan Khadka told, ‘Although we started to make a sequel of the movie, Ram Babu Gurung had also agreed to make ‘Jholay’ sequel, the final story has turned out to be completely different from ‘Jholay’. So, the movie is not the sequel of ‘Jholay’.” While others were present the leading actor, Dayahang Rai, wasn’t present in the program.
Ram Babu Gurung had previously directed successful movies like ‘Kabaddi’, ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ and ‘Purano Dunga’. The new movie also sounds much like his previous movies in terms of story and presentation. Continue reading
The clash between two of the most awaited movies of the year has been avoided after ‘Kanchhi’ decided to re-schedule the release date of the movie. Earlier, both ‘Kri’ and ‘Kanchhi’ had announced the release of the movie on February 9, 2018. Anmol’s highly awaited movie was delayed more than once before. I had also prepared a video report on the release date controversy earlier (video attached at the end of the post.)
Now, Shweta Khadka, has told that she is willing to get flexible and let ‘Kri’ release on that day. The new schedule, a week later, on February 16, 2018 isn’t risk-free either. That is because, Chhabi Raj Ojha’s movie ‘Mangalam’ is also releasing on February 16. Chhabi’s movie was previously scheduled to release on Dashain but was delayed to let ‘Chhakka Panja 2’ to release at that time. Although ‘Kanchhi’ has more publicity because of the sympathy towards Shweta, the widow of late Shree Krishna Shrestha, Chhabi’s movie can’t be undermined. Known as one of the top producers in the movie industry, most of Chhabi’s movie are successful.
Talking about the rescheduling, Shweta told, “I din’t want to clash with another movie like that. When I tried to contact the ‘Kri’ team they didn’t respond. Then, I decided to change the date.”
‘Kanchhi’ is directed by the director of ‘Kohinoor’, Aakash Adhikari. The movie features Dayahang Rai and Shweta Khadka in leading role.
It has only been two years, I wrote and made a video about the marriage of actress Reema Bishowkarma with Robert BK. It is a shocking news that her husband has engaged to Barsha Rasaili of Morang. Reema or Robert hadn’t told anything about their relationship recently. According to the sources close to Reema, she wasn’t happy by the marriage recently. She had told about the possibility of divorce. Another source says that it has been two weeks since Reema and Robert formally divorced. After the divorce, Robert had engaged with Barsha.

Well, Nikhil has two wives. Although he is still married to both of them, he is seen mostly with Sanchita and his children with her. The eldest son, from his first wife, seem to be left out. I made this conclusion based on the review of the Facebook profiles of Sanchita Luitel and Kopila Upreti. While Sanchita is sharing photos of Nikhil with his children in her profile, Kopila doesn’t share photos of Nikhil with his son. The first film actress Rajani KC signed was ‘Deepjyoti’. But, she debuted in Chhabi Raj Ojha’s film ‘Loafer’ and failed to impress the viewers. But, ‘Pardeshi’ became a blockbuster hit, establishing Rajani as one of the successful actress in the film industry.
Because of the election time in Nepal, film producers are reluctant to release new movies. That is one of the reasons, the movie ‘Deepjyoti’ has got more than 80 theatres on its own. The movie featuring Khusbu Khadka, Rajani KC, Saroj Khanal, Nir Shah, Pramod Deep, Puskar Regmi and others, is made under NP Films banner. The movie is directed by Narayan Mainali. Ramji Lamichhane is the choreographer, Samrat Basnet is action director and cinematographers are Ramsharan Upreti and Rahul Rai.

In the second phase of the first election for the federal and states parliament of the Federal Republic of Nepal was held on December 6, 2017. In the election, the voters of 45 districts voted for their representatives in the legislative bodies. Most of the celebrities have voted in the election. After getting married on Sunday, December 3, Nepali actor Raj Ballav and his newly wed Pratima Bimali organized a reception party in the USA. In the party, various Nepali film industry personalities were present. In one of the photos shared by Raj Ballav after the party, actresses Nandita KC, Richa Ghimire and Arunima Lamsal are seen present.
