About ‘Tasbir’

The movie ‘Tasbir’ is a presentation of Kamad Films by Ramesh Adhikari. The movie subtitled ‘A love story’ is a social drama movie produced by one of the leading actors. The movie features Ramesh Adhikari, Pusparaj Purish, Gajit Bista and Saujanya Subba in leading roles. The music director of the film is Basanta Sapkota, playback singers are Pramod Kharel, Dipak Limbu, Birendra Agrahari, Mandavi Tripathi, and Sophia Thapa. Lyrics by Pusparaj Purush and Nawal Nepal, assistant director is Mahesh Baral. About ‘How Funny’

A movie featuring well known actors like Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki and Keki Adhikari is the debut movie of the female director Nilu Doma Sherpa. Miss Nepal 2002 Malvika Subba had debuted as the producer in the movie (report on Malvika’s debut). The movie on comedy theme was however not liked by the viewers of the movie.

The movie also features journalist Rishi Dhakala (report). The movie is made under Tiny But Big Pictures banner. The story and the concept is that of the director Nilu Doma Sherpa, script is written by Shan Basnyat, executive prducer is Malvika Subba, choreographer is Renasha Rai etc.

The sequel of hit movie ‘Bato Muniko Phool’, ‘Bato Muniko Phool 2’ was released in April of 2016 (read release news).

The original movie – Watch ‘Bato Muniko Phool’ here. The original ‘Bato Muniko Phool’ was a superhit movie featuring Rajesh Hamal and Rekha Thapa in leading roles. The movie however went through a nasty piracy problem.

The movie is full of well known star cast. The movie features Yash Kumar, Arpan Thapa, Dilip Rayamajhi and Baboo Bogati in lead roles. The actresses in the movie include Ashishma Nakarmi, Reema Bishowkarma and Richa Sharma.

The actor Rajesh Hamal is also featured in a cameo role. The director of the sequel is  Subarna Thapa. The original ‘Bato Muniko Phool’ was directed by Suraj Subba Nalbo.

About ‘Sanjog’

A presentation of Dadhiram Upreti, ‘Sanjog’ is made under Yujesh Film banner. The movie features the music of Ujjwal Thebe Limbu and Kumar Bibahit, produced by Umesh Upreti and Roshan Upreti. The writer of the movie is the director Bed Prasad Bhurtel. The cinematographer of the movie is Harinarayan Chaudhary, action of Chandra Panta and choreography of Govinda Rai. The movie was released on July 29, 2016 (read the release news).

The movie is made on a triangular love story between three characters played by Sabin Shrestha, Prajwol Giri and Sushma Karki. The movie was completed a couple of years before the actual release.

Star Cast of ‘Sanjog’


The movie features well known actors Sabin Shrestha and Sushma Karki. The actress known for hot scenes and vulgar dialogue, Sushma Karki is featured in a much sober role in this movie. During a press release of this movie, Sushma Karki, had lost her cool and had asked journalists to be prepared before coming to her press meet (read details of Sushma Karki’s response). After the release of the movie, Sushma Karki is unheard of in the film industry and there are no news of movies in her credits at the time of this writing (April 2017).

Actor Sabin Shrestha is known for action roles in Nepali movie. The actor introduced by Rekha Thapa in the film industry is debuting as a producer in his upcoming movie ‘Hero Returns’.

The world record holding movie – directed by the youngest director in the world, Saugat Bista, ‘Love You Baba’ is a story of a father and a daughter. The movie is a family drama featuring the director’s father and his elder sister in main roles.

Read the news about Saugat Bista being awarded the Guinness World Record certificate. The movie was released in December of 2014. The movie was also screened at the Shinokubo Film Festival in Japan in 2015. The actress Sangam Bista was awarded the best child artist at the NEFTA Film Award 2015. The application for Miss Nepal 2017 is open now. The eligible Nepali girls can apply for the most prestigious beauty contest in Nepal.

The seven perquisites for the application are:

  1. Single, never married, naturally born, female, Nepali citizen
  2. Virgin – they say that, the applicant shouldn’t have given birth to a baby
  3. Age 19 to 24. The cutoff date is December 31, 2017.
  4. Education 10+2 or equivalent.
  5. Height should be minimum of 5 feet and 4 inches (that is 164 cms)
  6. Attractive, in sound health and good moral character.
  7. Tattoo taboo – No tattoos on body

The movie jointly written and directed by Niranjan Pandey, Saurabh Dhakal and actress Beenita Baral (credited for story, dialogue and screenplay). The playback singer in the movie are Sabin Rai, Yuskey KC, Niranjan Pandey, and Suresh Rai, the music director is Suresh Rai. Lyrics in the movie are jointly written by Suresh Rai, Binita Baral, and Niranjan Pandey. Background score by Alish Karki, cinematography by Rupon Poudel and Niraj Kadel, editor of the movie is Niranjan Pandey, and the action by Surya Thokar.

At the time of the release of the movie actress Binita Baral was in the USA. As she had broken up with the production team, she didn’t help in its promotion.
