Nawal Nepal features Keki and Sabin in Bhaag Saani Bhaag

Director Nawal Nepal has announced a new movie titled ‘Bhaag Saani Bhaag’ in a program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday, March 19. Noted musician Chetan Sapkota is debuting as a film producer in the movie.

The female oriented movie will revolve around the the character Saani, played by actress Keki Adhikari. Actor Sabin Shrestha will be featured opposite to Keki in the movie and other supporting actors in the movie include Nir Shah, Laya Sangarula, Geeta Adhikari, Rabindra Khadka, and Bishnu Sapkota.

First teaser of Bhale Fight released

The trailer of a new movie titled ‘Bhale Fight’ was released recently. Scheduled to release in two months, in around Jestha, the movie is about the role of a woman in the success of a man.

The social drama movie ‘Bhale Fight’ is made on the script and direction of Ashok Rai. Featuring Baboo Bogati, Sandeep Chhetri, Ajaya Shrestha and Reema Bishowkarma in main roles, the movie is produced by Bhoj Bahadur Gurung.

Mala premier held, Priyanka scared of her own character

The movie to release this week on Friday, ‘Mala’ was premiered in Q’s Cinema Kathmandu on March 18. In the premier show held among film artists, journalists and guests. The viewers of the show include the actor Aryan Sigdel, actress Priyanka Karki and all the crew of the production team.

Actress Priyanka is playing the leading character, Mala, in the movie. Priyanka sitting next to ex-Miss Nepal Malvika Subba was once scared of her own picturisation as the soul of the character she has played. She later confirmed that it was the first time she had actually seen the movie. In addition to Priyanka, other actresses were also scared by the movie. Actress Benisha Hamal, Nandita KC and choreographer Renasha Rai admitted being scared by the movie. Priyanka’s character is silent throughout the movie.

Anup Baral to direct Dokh, a story of a football game

Actor and director Anup Baral is all set to start the shooting of a new movie titled ‘Dokh’. The movie featuring mostly the theater artists is scheduled to start the shooting this week.

Anup started film direction in ‘Fitkiri’ (watch ‘Fitkiri’ in full here). Although the movie was not as successful as expected, his theater play ‘Court Martial’ featuring actor Rajesh Hamal was very successful. ‘Dokh’ will be his second directorial venture in Nepali movie industry.

The script of ‘Dokh’ was selected in a competition held by the production company, ALP Entertainment. ALP Entertainment had previously made ‘Ritu’ (watch ‘Ritu’ in full here). The script by the writer of ‘Mokshya’, Rajan Kathayat, was selected for the movies. ‘Dokh’ is a story of a football match between two villages during the Maoist people’s war time. The movies pictures the conflict and hatred through the football game.

Promotional social work, Hostel Returns for Education

The producer of â€˜Hostel Returnsâ€™, Durgish Films has announced plans to help the children of remote Nepal in their education. According to the producer Sunil Racal, he is planning to help the student by supplying education materials and scholarships to the students. He told that the up to the college level students will be assisted in the â€˜Hostel Returns for Educationâ€™ campaign.

To promote the campaign, the film production team is planning to visit remote places in Nepal and promote the movie.

Hostel returns is scheduled to release in theatre on Baisakh 25. A part of the money collected from the screening will also be used in the campaign. A sequel of â€˜Hostelâ€™, new movie â€˜Hostel Returnsâ€™ is directed by Suraj Bhusal and features Sushil Shrestha and Shashi Shrestha in leading roles. The movie is made on the story of engineering students living in college hostel.

Australia rights of Woda No. 6 sold for Rs. 1.5 million

The producers of their upcoming movie ‘Woda No. 6’, actor Deepak Raj Giri and actress Deepa Shree Niraula are currently in Australia to participate in cultural events. During the stage show program, they have also managed to do business deals for the movie. Deepa and Deepak have told that they have made an agreement with Khilendra Timilsina to show the movie in Australia.

The agreement to show the movie in Australia is valued at Rs. 1.5 million. In similar earlier agreement, the production team had sold the out-of-Kathmandu rights of the movie to FD Company for a minimum of Rs. 3.5 million. The movie currently in post-production is expected to follow the hit previous movie by the same production team, ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here).

Barsha Raut and Jiwan Luitel romance in Kafal Pakyo

The shooting of a new movie titled ‘Kafal Pakyo’ has finished and the dubbing is in its last stage. The movie produced and directed by Sabitri KC features actor Jiwan Luitel and Barsha Raut in leading roles. The movie is an entertaining love story movie.

The director has chosen an odd name ‘Kafal Pakyo’ for a movie. Explaining the meaning of the name, the director KC says that a bird says Kafal Pakyo during the time it is searching for a mating partner in spring time. The movie is about a love story of a village guy and a city girl.

Friday Release, Killa and Josh

This Friday on March 14, 2015 two new Nepali movies are releasing on theater – Subash Meche‘s action movie ‘Killa’ and Rishi Neupane‘s movie ‘Josh’. Both the movies are action themed movie and are targeted towards the similar movie audiences. Both the movies feature dancer Priya Rijal in their respective item dances.

The movie made on the story of a person who controls a certain area is the movie ‘Killa’. The movie features Subash Meche, Surabhi Jain, Wilson Bikram Rai, Pukar Bhattarai, Sange Gurung, Umesh Khadka and others. The movie directed by Himal KC features the Saurav Lama in camera, music by Bikash Chaudhari and script by Pradeep Bhardwoj.

Adhakatti to release on the birthday of its producer, Pradeep K Uday

The release date of movie ‘Adhakatti’, is scheduled for May 22, 2015, the birthday of the producer Pradeep K Uday. The movie was announced on Uday’s birthday in 2013 and it is releasing on the his birthday after two years.

‘Adhakatti’ is the debut direction of Kantipur journalist Subrat Acharya featuring Ashishma Nakarmi, Wilson Bikram Rai, Rista Basnet, Gaurav Pahadi, and Pradeep Bastola. The movie will also feature actress Namrata Shrestha and Gajit Bista in an item dance titled ‘Namrata..’ The shooting of the movie was delayed a while and went to floor after a year of its announcement. It is releasing a year after the start of the shooting.

Janmabhumi to Janmabhumi, 20 years journey of Mohan Niraula

Director Mohan Niraula debuted as a director in his movie ‘Janmabhumi’ some 20 years ago (click here to watch the original ‘Janmabhumi’) and now, he is releasing the movie by the same name on April 24, 2015 (Baisakh 11, 2072). The censor board has given the movie an ‘U’ certificate, suitable for all the audiences.

Like the original movie, the story of the new movie also helps in creating the sense of nationality to the youths. The director Nirula says that he has used all of his knowledge and experience in the movie to make it a great product. In addition to directing the film, he has also written the script of the movie.

Garima Pant to be a Scout

A new movie titled ‘Scout’ is going to feature actress Garima Pant in leading role. In a program organized in Kathmandu, the cast and crew of the movie was announced. The shooting was also inaugurated the Communication Minister, Minendra Rijal and other politicians.

This Friday, three more Nepali movies are being released in theater. A historical bio-pic ‘Bhhimdutta’, a suspense thriller ‘Zhigrana’ and a social drama film ‘Punarjanma’ are releasing in theaters all over Nepal. All three movies are considered movies with potential.

The movies are targeted to different audiences. ‘Bhimdatta’ is targeted to audience interested in political issues and historical events. A red carpet primer of the movie to release on Friday, ‘Zhigrana’ was held in Kumari theater on March 5. Journalists, film artists and businessmen were present in the premier show.

Suspense thriller ‘Zhigrana’ is the debut movie of the director Pasang Lama. The censor board has awarded an ‘A’ certificate, suitable for adults over 16 years of age. The film makers had expressed their dissatisfaction on the Board’s decision by releasing the scene removed by the Board in YouTube.
