Nepali movie ‘Tadap’ is a presentation of Mata Krishnamaya Smriti Films by Jiwan Thapa. The movie was released on March 16, 2012 in theaters out of Kathamndu and on September 28, 2012 in theaters in Kathmandu (release details in Films of Nepal). The movie produced by Bibek Thapa and Ayusman Basnet features the dance of Pradip Shrestha / dinesh Adhikari, fight of Dev Maharjan, cinematography of Devendra Hurhur and editing of Ishowor Koirala / Prakash Pokharel.
Like previous years, the celebrities of Nepali film industry celebrated Holi festival in jolly mood. The festival of color was celebrated at various locations. Like every year, actress Karishma Manandhar had invited everybody to celebrate Holi at her residence. Last year, Karishma was busy in the shooting of ‘Fagu’ and couldn’t organize the festival at home.

Nepali actresses and others gathered at Maitighar Mandala on the evening of February 6 to remember late Neha Pun, the Magar film actress raped and killed in Pokhara. At the time when the murderer is yet to be identified the actresses and model in Kathmandu have gathered to pay homage to the deceased soul. The remembrance event called by actresses Richa Sharma was supported by the actresses and models.

The movie is made on a heart touching story on a social drama featuring the clash between the three generations of a family.

The first female producer of Nepali movie is Manju Rana, the producer of the Nepali movie ‘Juni’. After Manju the professional female producer of Nepali movie is Sumitra Poudel. Producer Malati Rai produced the super-hit Nepali movie ‘Saino’. These producers were not actresses. In later days, actresses had entered film production business with mixed result.
At this time, at least 5 movies produced by actresses are recently released or waiting to release in near future. Actress Poojana Pradhan‘s debut production movie ‘Chocolete’ is releasing on December 4, 2015. Similarly, actress Karishma Manandhar‘s production ‘Falgu’ is releasing on February 17, 2016 and actress Rekha Thapa‘s production movie ‘Rampyari’ is scheduled to release on April 8, 2016. Another actress, Suvekshya Thapa‘s home co-production movie ‘Bindaas 3’ is also ready for release. Actress Ashika Tamang‘s debut movie both as an actress and as a producer was released on October 23.

Rekha Thapa
Rekha’s ex-husband had registered Rekha Films after her and produced some successful movies under the banner. When Rekha and Chhabi divorced Rekha took the production with her. Chhabi had registered Chhabiraj Films banner to produce his later films. Rekha Films and Chhabiraj Films jointly produced ‘Hamesha’ before parting their ways in their next movies. The success of Rekha’s own production ‘Kali’ and ‘Himmatwali’ were after parting from Chhabi has proved Rekha a successful film producer.

Actress and model Reema Bishowkarma and her newly wed husband Robert Bishwokarma have donated the fund they had set aside for the honeymoon trip to the Film Artists Welfare Fund of Film Development Board (FDB). Reema and Robert handed over the fund to actress Jharana Thapa, the coordinator of the Film Welfare Fund, in an event in Kathmandu.
Reema and Robert were planning to go to Maldives or Paris for honeymoon. As the honeymoon plan was canceled for now, they decided to donate the amount for good cause. Jharana was recently appointed to coordinate the social wing of FDB. In the fund handing over ceremony, Reema’s husband Robert was also with her.
In a special ceremony held in Kathmandu on September 20, 2015, the new constitution of Nepal was unveiled by the president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the Constitution Assembly (CA) in Kathmandu. The constitution was written after an 8-years-long writing process spanning two Constitution Assemblies. Although there are still some people who are not satisfied by the new constitution, ninety percent of CA members had endorsed it. The citizens of Terai region have complained that the Constitution hasn’t incorporated their demands. As the new Constitution can easily be amended by 2/3 majority in the parliament, all the concerns can easily be incorporated in future amendments. According to reports, the new Constitution is the most democratic Constitution in the history of Nepal. On the completion of the lengthy constitution writing process, the film artists have welcomed it and have congratulated everybody for the achievement. The movie ‘Premika’ is a presentation of Shuva Shanti Films. The movie ‘Premika’ was released on the Valentine Day of 2014. The movie went through the controversy when its poster was found to be an exact copy of a South Indian film. After the protest, the film makers re-designed the poster.
Actress Jharana Thapa and film producer Sunil Kumar Thapa have been married for 20 years now. To celebrate their 20th marriage anniversary, Jharana and Sunil with a group of friends went to Ratnagiri Resorts in Nagarkot.
In addition to the marriage anniversary celebration, the group hiked and enjoyed the beautiful place.

Jharana Thapa is only featured in a song (item song, at around 1:29:00) and has nothing to do with the story.
To help the earthquake victims actress Namrata Shrestha and actor Aryan Sigdel have donated blood for the first time in their lives. They donated blood in a blood donation camp jointly set by the Nepal Directors Association and Film Journalist Association.

Actress Namrata said, "I am very scared of needle. I am giving up my fear of needle to help the earthquake victims." The blood donation program was held at the Blood Bank office in Bhrikutimandap.
In addition to the release of the album, musical program was held in the event. Gaurav Pahadi, Rista Basnet, Pradeep Bastola, Ashishma Nakarmi and Wilson Bikram Rai danced in the movie song on the stage. Actress Namrata Shrestha also danced in the event. Namrata is featured in an item dance in the movie.
