After numerous delays and hurdles, the shooting of the movie based on a popular novel by Subin Bhattarai, ‘Summer Love’ has started. The movie is expected to complete shooting in two months. The movie is going to introduce a well known personality in India in Nepali film industry – Rewati Chhetri. Rewati is one of the finalists of Miss India 2015. She had also won the Miss Popular and Miss Multimedia awards in the contest.
2013 – The novel was released in 2013. The novel was widely promoted and it became an instant hit. His book was reviewed by celebrities like Miss Nepal 2002 Malvika Subba and Miss Nepal 1997 Jharana Bajracharya. The book cover featured Prinsha Shrestha – the dethroned Miss Nepal Earth 2014.
2015, June – The movie was initially announced more than 2 years ago. ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ producer Bikash Acharya had agreed to produce it. (announcement news)
2016, April – ‘Dreams’ actress Samragyee RL Shah agreed to act in the movie, verbally (Samragyee in the movie).

2016 – The film team started searching for the lead actress in the movie in Nepal and Australia. But, the effort was fruitless.
2017, March – Rewati Chhetri announced to be the actress. Ashish Piya was signed in to play opposite to Rewati. Other artists were yet to be finalized at the time. Later, Namrata Sapkota was also announced to be featured in the movie. (Rewati and Ashish in the movie)
2017, August – Shooting starts. In the meantime, Bikash Acharya left the production team and started working with ‘Chhakka Panja 2’ team.
The ‘Chhakka Panja’ actress, Namrata Sapkota, has signed in ‘Summer Love’. The movie to be made on the story of the popular novel by Subin Bhattarai, by the same name is being directed by Muskan Dhakal. In the movie, Namrata will be featured in the character of Sushmita. The lead actors of the movie were previously announced. The lead actors are new entry in the Nepali film industry – Rewati Chhetri and Aashish Piya.
Namrata had previously signed in ‘Kanchhi’, the Shweta Khadka comeback movie. But, the movie was delayed because of Shweta’s social work to build houses for earthquake victim Majhi people. When the shooting schedule of ‘Summer Love’ clashed with that of ‘Kanchhi’, Namrata decided to leave it and work in ‘Summer Love’ instead.
The artists of the movie are currently working in workshop. The movie is being produced under Nightingale Entertainment.
The director, Muskan Dhakal had worked as the assistant of Bikash Acharya when directing the ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ sequels. He had also directed one of the sequels. Initially Bikash Acharya was supposed to produce the movie but later, Acharya decided not to invest in the movie. Acharya became the executive producer of the sequel of ‘Chhakka Panja’ instead.

Bracelet marks the comeback of one of the well known actors of the past, Ramesh Upreti. Produced under Kotaki Kalika Devi Films banner, the movie is produced by Keshav Bhattarai. The movie was first announced in March of 2015. A week after the formal announcement, the shooting of the movie commenced in Pokhara. One of the songs of the movie featuring the dance of Ramesh Upreti and Rajani KC was very popular.

UPDATE: Dashain has finished today. I collected 100s of photos of celebrities. But, posting them in the page would not be that much interesting to the most of the site visitors. So, I collected the photos of 40+ Nepali actress celebrating Dashain this year and prepared a video (I deleted the video – nobody watched it).
I also prepared a video about the fist Dashain of two Miss Nepal sons. In addition to the sons of Jharana Bajracharya and Malvika Subba, the daughter of actress Richa Ghimire also celebrated her Dashain for the first time in her life.
The sole Nepali movie to release today, on September 9, 2016, is ‘Chhaka Panja’. The movie directed by Deepa Shree Niraula also marks the debut of the comedy actress as a director. The movie made on the problem youths face while going for foreign employment is expected to follow the trend of the previous movies of the same team – ‘Woda Number 6’ and ‘Chha Ekan Chha’. The shooting of the movie was inaugurated in an event held at Surya Vinayak temple in Bhaktapur on March 21. The shooting is expected to finish in a month. The movie is produced by the team that produced the previous hit movies ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ and ‘Woda Number Chha’. Although the main producers are Deepak, Deepa and Nirmal Sharma (Gaida) all the other main actors will also have certain amount of share in the movie.
The audio jukebox of upcoming movie ‘Bracelet’ has been released. There are three songs in the jukebox. The movie directed by Nirmal Sharma marks the comeback of Ramesh Upreti after his long absence from the industry. Although the shows in USA and Canada are fixed, the release date in Nepal is yet to be fixed. With Ramesh Upreti the movie features Rajani KC, Namrata Sapkota and Nir Shah.

After the completion of the shooting of her upcoming movie ‘Bracelet’ actress Namrata Sapkota has signed in another movie ‘Birano Maya’. The inauguration of the shooting of ‘Birano Maya’ was held on Monday, June 15 in Kathmandu.
The movie by Shree Media Search and Movie Makers is produced by Milan Lama and Sabitri Adhikari. The love story movie will also featured the typical Far Eastern ascent. The movie written and directed by Madhav Kharel will be shot in locations in Kavre, Jhapa, Janakpur and Sindhuli area. The shooting of the movie is scheduled to start next week.
The shooting of the movie featuring Ramesh Upreti has started in Pokhara. The shooting started by worshiping at Bindhyabasini temple. After shooting at the temple, the team went to Water Front Resort for the remaining shooting. Ramesh Upreti will join the members of the production team in the shooting in Pokhara on Monday.
The shooting of the movie is scheduled to be done in locations in and around Pokhara, Tanahun and Kathmandu.
