Paul Shah & Durgesh Thapa case update, Pooja Sharma cried in MYGG2 premier

Premier show of Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu was held on the day a complaint was lodged against the lead actor of the movie to release on Friday. After two years of closure, the film industry is finally opening up.

The opening of the film was not as pleasant as expected by the actress and the producer of the movie, Pooja Sharma. The events were too much for the actress and the director of the movie, Sudarshan Thapa. So, they both cried on stage talking about the absence of Paul Shah in the show. Paul Shah on the other hand released audio recordings to prove his innocence. The audio however seem to be more damaging than useful in his case at the time when his case is under consideration at the police station.

Paul Shah and Samikshya Adhikari case (leaked audio)

Nepali actor Paul Shah and his involvement with well known singer Samikshya Adhikari has been in news for the last few months. After months of back and forth of statements on social media post some audio of the conversation with the actor was made public. That led to a lot of speculation on the case.

This started in October of 2021. A report about Samikshya going to police and an agreement between the two celebrities. Right after the report they both denied the claims and told that, they were in good terms as friends.

This is an unofficial sequel of superhit film ‘Prem Geet’ featuring the actress of and the director of the original film. The official sequel was named ‘Prem Geet 2’. Both of the sequels were successful in box office. The movie also won numerous awards. The movie was released on July 14, 2017 (release news). Although the name of the film is borrowed from a song in the movie ‘Prem Geet’, the characters in the movie are not named Prem and Geet (The characters of another movie ‘Prem Geet 2’ are named Prem and Geet). The lead character in the film is Paul (the real name) and the actress Pooja is named Saya in the movie.

“Paul is my guardian” Aanchal Sharma

Although Aanchal Sharma and Paul Shah try not to express their love to each other verbally, the body language and the expression towards each other clearly show the love for each other. Aanchal’s love towards Paul was clearly evident in the birthday celebration of Paul Shah during the 1 million views celebration of ‘Shatrugate’ film’s song, ‘Rupai Mohani…’.

Too cheap; What is the rate of a Nepali actress?

Nepali actresses come very cheap when compared to their male counterparts. The actress Rekha Thapa, who claims to be equivalent to a male actress, and always works in female-centric movies, is paid less than most of the male actors. Rekha’s rate is Rs. 5 lakh. Actor Anmol KC is paid about five times that amount. Another actor Pradeep Khadka is also paid more than four times that amount. In Rekha’s last movie, she also paid her co-star, Aryan Sigdel, 3 times the amount she expects others to pay her.

Is it a female dominance or a discrimination? Are the actresses not demanding their worth?

Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2 announced, Pooja and Paul in lead roles

It is supposed to be the third sequel of ‘Prem Geet’ although it is named ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2’. The sequel of hit film ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ was announced on the birthday of the director Sudarshan Thapa, held on Wednesday. In addition to the sequel he also announced another unnamed movie to be produced after the movie.

In the sequel, the artists Pooja Sharma, Paul Shah and Salon Basnet will be repeated in the leading role. During the announcement Sudarshan told, that the movie is being made on the demand of the viewers. The script of the movie is being written by Sudarshan Thapa in association with Samipya Raj Timilsina.

After the completion of the shooting of the sequel, the team of Sudarshan will start the shooting of another movie. The star cast of both the movies will be the same – Pooja, Paul and Salon. The next movie will be a dance-themed movie.

Thapa told that the shooting of ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2’ will start in Magh. The untitled movie will start after the completion of the sequel. Both the movies are scheduled to released in the next year.

Paul Shah and Aanchal Sharma starrer Johnny Gentleman to release on Sept 15

A poster of upcoming movie of actor Paul Shah is released featuring the actor with is so-called girlfriend Aanchal Sharma. Although Aanchal and Paul have denied the affair rumour, everybody else believe that they are seeing each other. The the poster also shows the release date of September 15, 2017.

The trailer of the movie is yet to release. Shot in various locations in Nepal and India, ‘Johnney Gentleman’ is a movie featuring comedy, action and love story. Produced by Andrews Poudel and directed by Nitin Chand, the movie is also one of the awaited movies the the film industry. That is because, viewers had liked Paul Shah’s roles in his previous movies in his earlier movies. In the last release, ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’, he was featured in the role of an angry young man. The success of the movie has helped the actor and is expected to help in the promotion of the upcoming movie.

Friday Release – Sayaad 2 and Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu

Two new movies, both the sequels of hit moviies, ‘Sayaad 2’ and ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ were released in theatre on Friday – July 14, 2017. One is the sequel of hit movie ‘Sayaad’ and another that of ‘Prem Geet’.

About ‘Sayaad 2’

The movie is written and directed by Pusparaj T Neupane. It features a new artists and a new story when compared to the original of the sequel. Produced by Sunil Rawal, the movie features Sushil Shrestha, Sharon Shrestha, Amrit Dhungana, Kushal Pandey, Sushil Sitaula, Nisha Karki, and the producer Rawal in different roles. The movie is made on the story of Sunil Rawal, dialogue by Kedar Bhusal. Dirgha Khadka has edited the movie.

New generations artists to rule this year – Anmol KC to Paul Shah

It seems, this year is going to see a huge clash between the new generation actors in the Nepali film industry. The most awaited movies this year feature either a new entry or the new generation actor. One of the most promising upcoming star of the Nepali film industry, Anmol KC’s movie ‘Kri’ is one of the most awaited movie. Similarly Pradeep Khadka’s ‘Prem Geet 2’, Paul Shah’s ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ and Samir Man Baniya’s movie ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ and so on.

Pooja Sharma Birthday – Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu title song released, compare with Prem Geet 2 song

The title song of upcoming movie ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ was released on the birthday of the lead actress and the producer of the movie, Pooja Sharma. In the birthday celebration held in Kathmandu, the song was release among the film crew members and journalists. In the program, the lead actor Paul Shah also sang the song with the music director Arjun Pokharel.

Kamana Film Awards 2016, watch award winning movies

In the film awards held in this year either Dayahang Rai had won the best actor award or Aryan Sigdel. For the first time, Kamana Film Award 2016 has awarded Saugat Malla the award for his role in ‘Fanko’.

About ‘Nai Nabhannu La 4’

The fourth sequel of ‘Nai Nbhannu La’ was also a super hit movie like it’s previous sequels. The movie is the only Nepali movie that had been the fourth sequel of any Nepali movies. Another Premgeet sequel? Ma Euta Geet Gauchhu announced by Sudarshan Thapa

Director Sudarshan Thapa announced a new movie titled ‘Ma Euta Geet Gauchhu’ in a program held in Dubai on Friday, September 16. The movie named after the title song of hit movie of the year ‘Premgeet’ and will feature actress Pooja Sharma and Paul Shah in leading role.

A few days ago, the producer of ‘Premgeet’, Santosh Sen had announced the making of the sequel of the movie ‘Premgeet 2’. The biggest omission of the sequel were the actress Pooja Sharma and the director Sudarshan Thapa. Santosh Sen and Sudarshan Thapa are not in good terms these days so the sequel ‘Premgeet 2’ will be directed by the scriptwriter of ‘Premgeet’ Ramsharan Pathak.

As both movies ‘Premgeet 2’ and ‘Ma Euta Geet Gauchhu’ have borrowed the title from the movie ‘Premgeet’ both seem like the sequel of the movie. Let me compare the two –

NFDC National Film Award 2016 nominations

The film award being distributed by Gopi Krishna Movies, NFDC National Film Award 2016 nomination was released in a program held in Kathmandu. The Award ceremony will be held in Ashoj. It’s interesting two movies released on the same day – ‘Premgeet’ and ‘Classic’ were nominated in the most number of awards – 11 categories each. ‘Pashupati Prasad’ and ‘Woda Number 6’ each were nominated in 8 different categories and ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ was nominated in 7 categories.
