Actress Sarita Giri and actor Saugat Malla unknowingly fell in love and it lasted for 9 years before they separated. It has been four years since they separated and Sarita still misses the Valentine Days of those days.
When they were living in Gurukul hostel, Sarita used to deliver flowers and chocolates to Saugat’s room every Valentine Days. He used to do the same and they share surprise gifts.
At the time when the love festival – Valentine Day is nearing, singer Anil Thapa offered his love proposal to actress Rekha Thapa. The incident happened during the Star FM Music Award program in which singer Anil Singh was singing his popular song ‘I Love you … ‘
While singing the song, Anil went to the seat Rekha was sitting and led her to the stage. On stage, Anil went on his knees and proposed while singing. Rekha found it funny and laughed at all the time. In his facebook message Anil Singh wrote, "It is an honor and privilege to share stage along with superstar Rekha Thapa."

Although we believe, the trailers should be ranked and given a category so that the broadcasters could know if they fit in their targeted audience or not – censoring them is not a solution.
FDB chief Umakanat Parajuli has told that the trailers released before the censor clearance of the movies have created a challenge and credibility of the Board. He is planning to discuss the issue in the Board and tell trailer broadcasting Televisions about the new requirement.

Shilpee theater group is inaugurating Gothale Theater, a theater named after the well known play writer Gobinda Bahadur Malla ‘Gothale’ in March. To inaugurate the theater, the group is organizing a ply titled ‘Coma’. The play told to be a political sex is designed by Yubaraj Ghimire and script by Kumar Nagarkoti. The play will start on March 1 (Falgun 17) and will run throughout the month at 5:30 PM.
Popular item dancer of Nepali movies, Archana Dellala, is going to be featured in a Bengali movie. The movie titled, ‘Sada Kalo Akasher Canvase’ will feature Archana in lead roles. In a press meet held in Kathmandu on February 2, the director Tanvin Rafik told that he has seen the talent in Archana for the role.
The movie, named ‘Mayako Parichaya’ in Nepali language, will be shot mostly in Nepal. After the completion of 60 percent shooting in Nepal, remaining part will be shot in Bangladesh.

A movie featuring the romance of Jharana Thapa and Suman Singh, ‘Premika’ is going to release on February 28, 2014. The love story movie directed by Ramji Lamichane received an ‘U’ certificate from the Censor Board.
With Jharana and Suman, the movie also features Sushil Pokharel in leading role. The movie features the thrills of Roshan Shrestha, music of Dinesh Sunam and cinematography of Durga Paudel. The movie directed by a wheelchair ridden musician and editor, Prabin Shrestha, received a good amount of hype before the release of the movie. In addition to prositive reviews during premier show, the viewers have also appreciated the story and story-telling in the movie. Prabin says 70 percent of the movie is his own life.

Story
The movie is made on a story of four youths who wants to build a career in music. They fight their parents and argue about being different. After the first and successful concert of Mokshya band, the lead character met with an accident and had to live his life on wheelchair. The movie is about the hardships the character goes through in his life. The accident affected the friendship between the four youth as they started living their own lives.
A red carpet charity premiere of upcoming movie ‘Jholey’ was held in Dharan. ‘Jholey’ actors Priyanka Karki and Dayahang Rai were in Dharan for the promotion of the movie and to participate in the premier show.
After the premier, Priyanka told that the turnover of the viewers was huge and the response was ‘amazing’. Priyanka said, “People were laughing and laughing and laughing!”

The daughter of well known actress in Nepali film industry, Karishma Manandhar, has debuted in the entertainment industry in a music video. The song titled ‘Bhaigo’ by Saroj Dutta features the 19-years-old star-child, Kabita Manandhar with Sakar Thapa. Directed by Miss ANA 2012, Sushma Bogati, the music is composed by well known musician and singer Sugam Pokharel.
In 2040 BS Chhabi Raj Ojha started the distribution of Hindi movie. He moved to Kathmandu for the distribution. The first Nepali movie he distributed was ‘Bhagya Rekha’ – a movie produced by Chiranjivi Basnet and directed by Deepak Rayamajhi. The movie wasn’t successful commercially. He had also gone to Madras for the post production of the movie. After the failure of ‘Bhagyarekha’, Chhabi proposed a concept to Deepak Rayamajhi and promised to finance it.

Kala Subba was born in Hong Kong and was brought up in Dharan. Kala has established herself as a good radio jockey (RJ) and a choreographer. Trained in Kathak dance, Kala started as a model. In her struggle days, she had participated in various beauty contests including Miss Nepal 1996. She had won Miss Talent award in the contest. In 2000, Kala was also awarded the Best Female Model of the year 2000.

Three Nepali movies ‘Mokshya’, ‘Jhola’ and ‘Mutu’ are releasing in theaters on Friday, February 7.
Musical dram and biopic ‘Mokshya’ is considered to be one of the best movies of the year based on the review of the preview shows. The movie made on a real story of a musical band is also a story of the director Prabin Shrestha himself. The movie produced by Sunil Manandhar features Koshis Chhetri and Benisha Hamal in lead roles.
In Nepali film industry, actress Rekha Thapa and Namrata Shrestha are known not to like each other. If a latest report is true, they seem to have sorted out the issues and are willing to work together in an upcoming project. The company that produced upcoming movie ‘Megha’, Sawasta Entertainment, is planning to feature Rekha, Namrata and Manisha’s brother Siddhartha Koirala in an unnamed movie.
