Actress Jharana Thapa and film producer Sunil Kumar Thapa have been married for 20 years now. To celebrate their 20th marriage anniversary, Jharana and Sunil with a group of friends went to Ratnagiri Resorts in Nagarkot.
In addition to the marriage anniversary celebration, the group hiked and enjoyed the beautiful place.
As the release date of the Deepak-Deepa-Niramal team’s production movie ‘Woda No. 6’ nears, the team has announced a new movie titled ‘Chha Bhane Maya Chhapakai Laideu’. One of the producers, comedy actress Deepa Shree Niraula is named the director of the movie. This will be the directorial debut movie of Deepa Shree.

Deepa was the assistant director to Dinesh DC in ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here). She is also assistant to Deepak Raj Giri in the popular comedy serial, ‘Tito Satya’.
After the completion of the direction of the movie, Deepa Shree will be another of the few female movie directors of Nepali film industry. So far, only two directors, Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar and Deepa Basnet have directed their second movies recenlty.
After actress Arunima Lamsal, actor Dilip Rayamajhi has also obtained the US Green Card after applying it from Nepal. After some remaining paper works, Dilip is planning to fly to the USA in a few days.
USA has been the favorite destination for Nepali artists because of it’s liberal Green Card program for celebrities. Actress Rekha Thapa, Usha Poudel, Richa Ghimire, Ranjana Sharma, actor Raj Ballav Koirala, Jiwan Luitel, director Shyam Bhattarai have also applied for Green Card. Recently actress Nisha Adhikari and actress Nandita KC had also gone to the USA. Actress Keki Adhikari will also flying to the USA soon.
Comedy artists Jitu Nepal (Mundre), Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha) and singer Komal Oli were taken into custody for performing without approval in Dhading. Dhading police arrested them when they were having fun with the local people in Nil Kantha Higher Secondary School.
The police who arrested them told that the Chief District Officer (CDO) had ordered to arrest the artists for performing without approval. The CDO Basudev Ghimire later claimed that the artists were not arrested but only called to discuss the issue. The CDO has told that such programs should be done only after the permission of the government bodies.
To help general public, Nepal Police has launched a new mobile phone app, Hamro Police. In an event organized in Kathmandu on July 5, actress Namrata Shrestha has launched the app. Speaking at the ceremony Namrata believed that the app will bring the public closer to the police.
Namrata said, “I believe, the app will help the police to in performing their duties.” She also asked everybody to help the police to make the society safe. DIG Bigyan Raj Sharma also highlighted the importance of the app in the age of mobile technology. The app allows public to report an incident so that police can take an action. It also collect public complaint and allows SMS reporting of incidents. The app also informs the public about police alerts and gives the location of the nearest police stations.
Although his Nepal return was controversial, Saroj Khanal seems to be all set to start his acting where he had left 17-years-ago. In the short time of his return, Saroj has already signed in two movies.
According to report, Saroj will be featured in character roles in movies titled ‘Prem Geet’ and ‘Dandi Biyo’. He told, he had studied the script before deciding in the movies.
‘Prem Geet’, being directed by Sudarsan Thapa, is in it’s pre-production stage and is expected to go to floor soon. The love story movie to feature Pooja Sharma was announced in a press meet on April 2.
The other movie, ‘Dandi Biyo’ is being directed by Nirmal Sharma (Gaida) is also expected to go on floor soon.
A director in Nepali film industry, Rishi Neupane has directed more than a dozen Nepali movies. The director known for directing masala and action movies, Rishi has directed some successful movies featuring Rajesh Hamal, Biraj Bhatt and Nikhil Upreti.

The dialogue spoken in the trailer of Nikhil Upreti‘s upcoming movie ‘Bhairav’ is found to be similar to that of a South Indian movie, ‘Temper’. The dialogue in the trailer of the Telugu movie (attached below) is as follows:
Sub-Inspector of Police, department …. (Telugu dialogue) fully corrupted, criminal minded, 100 % cunning.
The similar dialogue in ‘Bhairav’ goes like:
Inspector of police, department ko headache, fully violent, criminal minded, 100% mental…
Changing Sub-Inspector to Inspector and the word cunning to mental doesn’t makes it authentic. Now, the question is, is it only the dialogue or the whole movie that is copied from the movie ‘Temper’?
The mud-filled festival of farmers, celebrated on Asar 15, is now largely show off rather than an actual festival. In the past, when most of the people in Nepal were farmers, it was the festival to start the cropping season. The marriage between work and fun is filled with celebration. Sanchita Luitel made a comeback in ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’ after being absent in the film industry for about four years. In that time she married Nikhil and gave birth to two children. At the time she left the industry, Sanchita was considered the most potential actress in the industry.

Nikhil and Sanchita fell in love in the sets of ‘Maya Ta Maya Ho’. After getting married secretly, they flew to Mumbai and struggled to get into the Bollywood film industry. After a while, Sanchita returned back to Nepal and gave birth to a son in 2011 and a daughter in 2012. Nikhil stayed in Mumbai in all those years. Now, Nikhil has also returned as a director in his home production movie, ‘Bhairav’. He is also featured in an upcoming movie ‘Lootera’ (scheduled to release on August 28) and is planning the second home production movie, ‘Bajarangi’.

Before going to the international charity shows, one charity show of the movie was held on June 16 in Kumari theater in Kathmandu.
The action star of Nepali film industry, Nikhil Upreti, is making comeback in the June 5 release, ‘Bhairav’. The movie previously scheduled to release earlier in 2015 was delayed because of the shooting of ‘Lutera’. In the trailer released on June 25, he is featured in action role and is trying to get back his previous popularity.

Actress Karishma Manandhar in co-ordination with Param Shakti Peeth is constructing 75 temporary residences for earthquake victims. Out of the promised 75 houses, 50 houses were handed over to the earthquake victims in an even organized on Tuesday, June 23. Minister Minendra Rijal was also present at the handing ceremony of the housed named Batsalaya Kuti to the locals of Chogaun.
