Nepali movie ‘Woda Number Chha’ was released in theatres in Kathmandu on September 18, 2015. Because of the uncertainity in the the places out of Kathmandu, the release in other cities in Nepal had been postponed.

‘Woda Number Chha’ Artists

‘Woda Number Chha’ Plot

The movie is set in Ward No. 6 in an unspecified village of Nuwakot. It is the story of five guys of Jhulebasti. The lives of the five guys is fun filled until one of the guys like the daughter of their master, Sushila. Then, Maoist insurgency also enters in the story-line. The movie however is not centered in Maoist war and doesn’t decide on whether the war was wrong or right. It only shows how and who benefited from the war.

Friday Release – Woda Number Chha, only in Kathmandu

This Friday, on September 18, Nepali movie ‘Woda Number Chha’ is released on theater. The unofficial sequel of the super-hit movie ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ is a solo release this week.

Because of the possibility of unrest after the release of the constitution of Nepal on Sunday, the release of ‘Woda Number Chha’ in theaters out of Kathmandu have been postponed. The distributor company AFD has decided to release the movie only the the theatres in Kathmandu. That is the reason, the promotion effort of the movie was focused only in Kathmandu.

After the success of ‘Chha Ekan Chaa’ the production team had teamed up to produce the second movie of similar theme and comedy. ‘Woda Number Chaa’ is directed by Ujjwal Ghimire and is produced jointly by Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma.  The movie is produced under the banner of Aama Saraswoti Geeta Devi Movies. The movie features Priyanka Karki, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Jitu Nepal, Kedar Ghimire, Sitaram Kattel, Dayahang Rai, Nir Shah and others. The movie features choreography of Gambhir Bista and Shankar BC, VFx and Editing by Gautam Raj Khadka, cinematography of Deepak Bajracharya, action by Roshan Shrestha.

Music video of Woda No. 6 released, features Priyanka Karki and Deepak

In an event held in Kathmandu, a music video of upcoming movie ‘Woda No. 6’ was released. The movie produced by Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula has Nirmal Sharma as the executive producer. The song titled ‘Wahiyat Love ….’ features Deepak Raj Giri and Priyanka Karki (attached at the end).

The movie scheduled to release on Ashoj 1 is made on comedy theme like their first super hit movie ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here). The movie directed by Ujjwal Ghimire features Deepak Raj Giri, Priyanka Karki, Dayahang Rai, Sitaram Kattel, Kedar Ghimire, Jitu Nepal, Wilson Bikram Rai and others. Television artists honored in National Television Award 2072

An award ceremony was held in Kathmandu on July 12 to award television artists. The ceremony was held to distribute National Television Award 2072 to the TV programs and their producers. In addition to the award, the program also featured cultural program including songs, dances and comedy programs.

Actor, producer and director Nir Shah was honored by the Lifetime Achievement Award of value Rs. 1,11,111. Minister Minendra Rijal had handed over the award to Shah. Shah dedicated the award to all the television related personnel. Current chief of Nepal Television, Nir Shah, was also instrumental in starting and leading Nepal Television in its initial days.

Deepa Shree Niraula to direct Chha Bhane Maya Chhapakai Laideu

As the release date of the Deepak-Deepa-Niramal team’s production movie ‘Woda No. 6’ nears, the team has announced a new movie titled ‘Chha Bhane Maya Chhapakai Laideu’. One of the producers, comedy actress Deepa Shree Niraula is named the director of the movie. This will be the directorial debut movie of Deepa Shree.

Deepa was the assistant director to Dinesh DC in ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here). She is also assistant to Deepak Raj Giri in the popular comedy serial, ‘Tito Satya’.

After the completion of the direction of the movie, Deepa Shree will be another of the few female movie directors of Nepali film industry. So far, only two directors, Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar and Deepa Basnet have directed their second movies recenlty.

Cultural program held in UAE to help earthquake victims

Nepali artists participated in a cultural program held in UAE for free to help earthquake victims. In the program held in Abu Dhabi artists including Rajesh Hamal, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, singler Tilak Bam Malla, Indra GC, Samjhana Lamichane, Prajita Gelal and Aastha Raut had given their presentation to the audience. The DID Little Master winner Teriya Magar had also danced in the stage.

More than 3,000 viewers were present in the program held in a school on Friday, July 12. The school had also provided the venue free to help the noble cause of the program. The money collected from the program will be transferred to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.

Nepali film artists to light candles to remember Nepal earthquake victims

On the 13th day of the devastating Earthquake of April 25, 2015, Nepali film artists are planning to light candles to remember the victims. In an invitation sent by actress Deepa Shree Niraula, the participants are asked to wear simple (white) dress in the remembrance meet.

In Hindu tradition, 13th day of the death is considered the day to wrap up the mourning of a death. On the day, the dead is remembered and the belongings of the dead are handed over to a chosen person.

9 actresses launched audio of Adhakatti

The audio of upcoming movie ‘Adhakatti’ was released in a program held in Kathmandu on April 20, 2015 in Kathmandu. The music album, of the movie to release on May 22, was unveiled by a group of nine actresses of Nepali film industry. The actresses in the ceremony include Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula, Namrata Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, Neeta Dhungana, Richa Sharma, Shilpa Pokharel, and Harshika Shrestha

In addition to the release of the album, musical program was held in the event. Gaurav Pahadi, Rista Basnet, Pradeep Bastola, Ashishma Nakarmi and Wilson Bikram Rai danced in the movie song on the stage. Actress Namrata Shrestha also danced in the event. Namrata is featured in an item dance in the movie.

Australia rights of Woda No. 6 sold for Rs. 1.5 million

The producers of their upcoming movie ‘Woda No. 6’, actor Deepak Raj Giri and actress Deepa Shree Niraula are currently in Australia to participate in cultural events. During the stage show program, they have also managed to do business deals for the movie. Deepa and Deepak have told that they have made an agreement with Khilendra Timilsina to show the movie in Australia.

The agreement to show the movie in Australia is valued at Rs. 1.5 million. In similar earlier agreement, the production team had sold the out-of-Kathmandu rights of the movie to FD Company for a minimum of Rs. 3.5 million. The movie currently in post-production is expected to follow the hit previous movie by the same production team, ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ (watch ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ here).

Tito Satya Meri Bassai Sanjh event in Australia postponed to March 19

The accident of Turkish Airlines in Tribhuvan International Airport caused extensive delay in the flight in and out of Kathmandu. The delay not only caused problems to come to Nepal and going abroad, various programs out of country had to be delayed because the artists couldn’t fly on the scheduled date.

The comedy and musical program scheduled for March 7, Tito Satya Meri Bassai Sanjh had to be delayed to March 19 as the artists couldn’t take the flight to Australia in time. The program will feature Kedar Ghimire, Wilson Bikram Rai, Deepa Shree Niraula, Deepak Raj Giri, Aastha Raut and Parbati Rai. (read a previous report on the event in serialsansar)

Artists arrive in Malaysia for Ncell event

Two actress, three singers and a comedy actor have arrived in Malaysia for the ncell event to be held there on Feburary 19, 20 and 21. The actresses Priyanka Karki and Deepa Shree Niraula are accompanied by actor Deepak Raj Giri. Singers include Sunita Dulal, Khuman Adhikari and Shiva Pariyar.
