UPDATE: The fake husband of Archana Paenru is arrested by Nepal police. Wolf Price, a US citizen was found to be doing illegal works in Nepal and was arrested. The police is going to keep him locked up and gather details of the things he did in his stay in Nepal. The police has reportedly found links between Price and Archana Paneru.
The text from the original article I wrote a while ago:
Archana is an actress of two Nepali films ‘Jism’ and ‘Chhesko’
She got an instant popularity because of racy photos she shared in Facebook.
The instant popularity vanished as soon as it appeared.
The popularity in social media was sudden and short-lived.
These days, she is trying to create a controversy so that she could enjoy the popularity again.
But, her attempts are not working this time.
The actress of ‘Jism’ and ‘Chhesko’, Archana Paneru got an instant popularity but, she couldn’t sustain the popularity for long. The popularity in social media was sudden and short-lived. Now, when she is unknown to may, she is trying to create a buzz in media. It seems, her attempts are not working this time.
A while ago, Archana announced that she got married to a foreign guy. She also shared photos of them together in her Facebook profile. But, when the “news” didn’t make any headlines and nobody actually believed in her, she has tried to un-do the marriage. I didn’t write about the marriage at that time because of the suspicion of it being only a propaganda. It now turned out to be true.
Watch the following video report about what had happened.
Nepali Movie – Jism
Starring – Archana Paneru, Surendra Budhathoki, Subhekshya Thapa etc.
Director – Raju Giri
A movie made under Raju Giri Production, the movie ‘Jism’ is the first movie the controversial actress Archana Paneru signed. The debut movie of Archana however became another movie titled ‘Chhesko’ as the movie was released before ‘Jism’. Both ‘Chhesko’ and ‘Jism’ flopped.
The director signed in Archana after she became popular after she wanted to become a model like Sunny Leone. The movie was named ‘Jism’, to indicate that it was similar to Sunny Leone’s Bollywood debut. But, by the time of the release of the movie the relation between the actress and the director turned sour and she didn’t participate in the promotion of the movie. The movie features the cinematography of Rameshowr Karki, editing by Mitra Dev Gurung and music by Yogesh Kaji.
Star Cast of ‘Jism’
The movie features new actors – Archana and Surendra Budhathoki in leading roles. The director Raju Giri is known for being the director whose relationship with the actresses turns sour as the movie nears the completion. The history repeated in ‘Jism’ and Archana didn’t show up in the dubbing. He had to use somebody else’s voice in the moive. Archana didn’t promote the movie and even told that it wasn’t her movie at all. She threatened to complain the Raju Giri and the production to block the release of the movie.
The only attraction of the movie was the popularity of Archana. But, by the time of the release her popularity has diminished to a very low point. She was found to lack acting and dancing skills. The movie features Surendra Budhathoki, a debut actor, opposite to Archana Paneru.
After the failure of ‘Jism’ and ‘Chhesko’, released one year ago (release news of ‘Jism’) Archana hasn’t signed in any more movies. She has started a dance bar in Kathmandu in partnership with her mother and a friend.

And now she is dancing in a dance bar:
I have prepared an experimental video abut a discussion in Twitter about Nepali movies. This is the first in the series – a very dull and completely uninteresting topic. Although, the topic wasn’t interesting at all, the response among Twitter friends was very good. So, I prepared a 3 minutes long video about the discussion.
Watch the video first:
The discussion topic was:
That translates into, “The movies named after weapons – Hasiya, Khukuri, Khurpa, Haityar … What are the other such movies?”

After all that, Archana and her mother Sunita Paneru are currently dancing in a dance bar in Thamel with her (a short clip of her dancing is seen in the following video.)

Watch Nepali movie ‘Chhesko’ in a single part:
Two new Nepali movies ‘Kalo Pothi’ and ‘Chhesko’ have released in theater on June 3, 2016. The moves are targeted to different types of viewers. ‘Chhesko’ introduces Archana Paneru in Nepali movie industry and is targeted to the viewers who are looking for glamour in the movies. In the other hand ‘Kalo Pothi’ is targeted to the serious viewers who want quality story and story presentation.
The movie ‘Kalo Pothi’ is an award winning movie that had participated in a lot of film festivals and had won various awards. Starting with the script (script had won Rs. 5.5 million) the movie was selected in various prestigious film festivals including Busan Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. It had also won the Critics Week Award in Venice Film Festival.
‘Kalo Pothi’ is directed by Min Bahadur Bham and features Sukra Raj Rokya, Khadka Raj Nepali, Jit Bahadur Malla, Hansha Khadka, Benisha Hamal, Bipin Karki and others. The script of the movie is written by Abinash Bikram Shah and Min Bahadur Bham.
The trailer of ‘Kalo Pothi’
The Film Development Board (FDB) chief, Raj Kumar Rai was seen at the press meet of upcoming release ‘Chhesko’. The movie produced last year and ready to release at that time was delayed because of the earthquake of 2015. Before the release next week, the movie producers had added actress Archana Paneru in some scenes. The movie is promoted as if Archana is the lead and most important actress in the movie. The actress who is debuting in the movie had been one of the most controversial actress in the history of Nepali movie industry.
The presence of Raj Kumar Rai in the event was surprising as he was the one who was against Archana Paneru entering the film industry. Because of that, Rai had delayed the approval of ‘Jism’, the Raju Giri movie which was supposed to be the first movie of Archana. Watch a video report:
Raj Kumar Rai had also ordered the arrest of Archana and the entire ‘Jism’ team in Pokhara. They later patched up and the movie was approved. But, by the time the movie was finalized the relationship between Archana Paneru and Raju Giri soured. Now, Archana is planning to lodge a complaint against Raju Giri in the government regulatory body, FDB.
There are different types of mothers in Nepali film industry. Some mothers are celebrity mothers others are housewife mothers. I found a nice compilation of different types of mothers in which some mothers are like Sunita Paneru, the mother of actress Archana Paneru. Sunita did something no other Nepali mothers have done or might do to her daughter. It is strange, how a mother can encourage her daughter to smokes and drink. That is the reason she is in the top of the list.
Watch the video:
Other mothers are celebrity mother themselves like actress Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, and Suvekshya Thapa. All these mothers have grown up daughters who are old enough to be featured as actresses. Despite of their old age, they still are featured as young girls in the movies.
The actress who was going to debut in upcoming movie ‘Jism’ has told that she is no longer involved in the movie. She has told that she is going to complain to the Film Development Board to stop its release. Instead of ‘Jism’, Archana has said that she is going to debut in the June 3, 2016 release movie, ‘Chhesko’.
Watch the following video report on the incident:
About ‘Chhesko’ movie
The movie shot and ready to release last year was delayed by the earthquake. The movie made on the story of drug abuse among Nepali youths is produced by Durga Bista. The movie featuring actors Rajan Karki in leading role also features Poojana Pradhan in guest role. Other actors include Rabin Baidhya, Anjit Khadka, Pabitra Acharya and Shristi Century. The role of Archana Paneru is added in the movie recently.
Attached is a video featuring the audio songs of upcoming movie ‘Jism’ by controversial director Raju Giri featuring actress Archana Paneru and Surendra Budha in lead roles. There are two songs in the movie. The music is composed by Yogesh Kaji. Sound design by Rajiv Shah.
The details of the songs:
- Dubideu Timi (Singers – Yogesh Kaji and Rajni Rhythm Rai, lyrics by Yogesh Kaji)
- Fakreko Yo Jawani (Singers – Yogesh Kaji and Sital Moktan, lyrics by Sajjan Kumar Singh)
The movie was shot before the Film Development Board had
I am pretty sure, the story of Archana Paneru, her debut movie ‘Jism’ and the role of Film Development Board (FDB) and FDB Chief Raj Kumar Rai is much more interesting than the film itself.
The story goes like:
A controversial director, Raju Giri, met a much more controversial girl Archana Paneru. Giri and his team prepared a story around Archana and borrowed the name of the movie Bollywood actress Sunny Leone debuted in Bollywood with. Sunny debuted in ‘Jism 2’ and Archana is all set to debut in ‘Jism’. The script and the details of the movie was submitted to the government agency FDB for approval.
The news was shocking to many film industry insiders. At the same time, the hype of Archan was too good to ignore. Archana was invited to a meeting by some producers and directors. Right after the meeting, Archana named the producers who had asked for anonymity. Some named the incident, “playing with dirt,” it was bound to get you dirty.
After a week long tussle, director Raju Giri has given up to he heavy weight government regulator – Film Development Board (FDB) and has admitted his mistakes. In a press meet organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday – March 30, 2016, Raju Giri had told that he had done a huge mistake of starting the shooting of the movie without first gaining the script approval from the Board. Reading a written statement, Raju Giri admitted of creating controversies for the promotion of the movies.
Video report on the issue:
In the press meet, lead actress Archana Paneru, her mother Sunita Paneru and other artists were present with director Raju Giri. Director Shovit Basnet was also seen at the press meet.
On the request of the Film Development Board (FDB), the police in Pokhara has arrested the entire shooting crew of upcoming controversial movie, ‘Jism’. Talking to an online media, FDB chief, Rajkumar Rai has confirmed that the arrest was made after the request of the Board. Watch a video report on the incident:
Why was ‘Jism’ unit arrested?
According to Rajkumar Rai (FDB chair):
- ‘Jism’ script wasn’t approved by the FDB. The Board members were still discussing on the whether the movie should be approved.
- Rai says, Giri was arrested because he didn’t listen to the board. Rai had told that he had called Giri and asked him to stop the shooting but, he didn’t comply to his order.
- The Board is discussing if Archana Paneru should be allowed to be featured as an actress in Nepali movie.
According to Raju Giri (‘Jism’ director):
- Raju Giri and the film production team had submitted the script of the movie to the Film Development Board on 20th. He had also paid all the dues to the FDB for the script registration.
- When he the script wasn’t approved till the 23rd, the film production team had gone to Pokhara to commence the shooting.
- Raju Giri claims that the story of the movie is very good and there is no reason FDB should not approve it.
According to Archana Paneru:
