There is a lot of expectation from two new movies that relased in theater on July 28, 2017 – the sequel of ‘Prem Geet’ – ‘Prem Geet 2’ and a movie featuring Nikhil Upreti in negative role, ‘Rudra’. There is a huge fan-base for both the films.
About Prem Geet 2
The movie by the writer and director Ramsharan Pathak features Pradeep Khadka, Ashlesha Thakuri, Kailash Katuwal, Shraddha Prasai, Shishir Bhandari, Kabita Regmi etc. in main roles. The sequel of super hit movie ‘Prem Geet’ features the lead actor of the movie. Another sequel, featuring the actress Pooja Sharma, ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu’ is also running in the third week. In the second directional venture of action star Nikhil Upreti, he is going to introduce a new actress. Shiwani Luitel, the sister of his wife, Sanchita Liutel, is going to romance with Nikhil in the movie. The movie titled ‘Commitment 60 Hours’ is going to feature Bollywood actors and is made on a story of bringing a girl from India to Nepal in a time span of 60 hours. The movie to be shot in Nepal, India, Thailand, Singapore and USA is expected to be made in a huge budget.

Actor Nikhil Upreti is apparently running away from his first wife Kopila Upreti. When Nikhil Upreti’s first wife, Kopila Upreti showed up unannounced during the announcement of Nikhil’s next movie ‘Commitment 60 hours’, he was really shocked. While Kopila wanted have a talk with him, Nikhil wasn’t in the mood to meet her. He asked his assistants to shoo her away.
Kopila wasn’t event allowed into the program. By the way she was being treated, it was clear that Nikhil and Kopila are not having a good time these days.
A few days ago, Nikhil had celebrated birthday at the maternal home of his second wife, Sanchita Luitel and their children.
The movie directed by Shiva Regmi was written by Suraj Subba Nalbo and produced by OB Films. In addition to script, Suraj had also written the dialogue of the movie. The story of the movie is written by the producer Binod Sherchan. The movie features Bhuwan KC with actress Tripti Nadkar. Other well known actresses include Niruta Singh and Mithila Sharma. Action star Nikhil Upreti and Rekha Thapa are also the main attraction of the movie. Biren Shrestha, Dinesh Sharma and Sunil Dutta Pandey are also well known actors featured in the movie.

I prepared a video about Nikhil Upreti wising Valentine Day wishes to one of his two wives and ignoring another. I was surprised by the way he treaded one to another when the photos of the status of Nikhil Upreti and Kopila Upreti were published in Nepal Samacharpatra – a National Daily.
I don’t use Facebook much these days. I only visit it when I need to investigate something. I did proper check on Nikhil’s account. It looked genuine for the following reasons:
Nepal Samacharpatra had published a photo from the account. (I assumed they were responsible media.)
In an interview Nikhil had admitted that he didn’t have a Facebook account and he was planning to open a new account. And, that was a new account. Less than a month old.
I checked the list of the friends in the account. Most of them were well known personalities in the film industry. I expected they won’t be-friend a fake account.
Based on her past posts and interactions, it was clear that Kopila Upreti’s account was not a fake account. Nikhil’s account had mentioned Kopila in many of the posts. So, I assumed it wasn’t a fake account.
Is there a relationship between fainting of Priyanka Karki and the marriage of ex-husband Rochak Mainali with another girl?
I hope not !
Report 1 – Priyanka Karki’s ex-husband, a resident of New York, Rochak Mainali, is going to marry Anshuma Kharel in the USA.
Report 2 – Priyanka Karki had fainted in the sets of upcoming movie, ‘Radhey’ at Kalinchowk of Dolkha.
Both of these reports are recent reports. There is nothing to worry about Priyanka as she has recovered and finished the shooting of the song and has already returned back to Kathmandu. But, are these reports related in any ways?

Three new movies have broken the tradition of releasing the new movies on Friday and released on Thursday. The movies released on January 12, 2016 include Keki Adhikari’s movie ‘Love Sasha’, Nikhil Upreti’s movie ‘King’ and Saugat Malla’s movie ‘Shabda’. All three movies are widely expected movies by the Nepali movie fans.
Love Sasha
A love story movie featuring actress Keki Adhikari, Ashif Shah and Karma Shakya is directed by Prachanda Man Shrestha. At the premier held on Tuesday, the movie had received positive feedback from the viewers. The movie is told to be a feel good and smooth love story.
It is not only in the Nepali movie industry, divorce among Nepali couple has been in the increasing trend these days. This might be because, compromising is not in the cards of today’s youth. I think, there is nothing wrong to get out of the relationship that is not working out. But, divorce also brings a lot of pain and problems to the both the couple involved. The traditional Nepali society has made it even worse by tagging them ‘bad example’ to the society.

2016 – Rekha Thapa and Chhabi Raj Ojha have officially divorced after 4 years of unofficial divorce after a decade of living together. They signed the legal paper and make it legal in August of 2016. Right after the divorce, Chhabi has told that he is planning to get married for the fourth time. Will he marry the actress Shilpa Pokharel or is he using the controversy only to promote his movie – that is a huge mystery of the Nepali movie industry.
While shooting and post-production of ‘Himmatwali’ Rekha is having an affair with Sudarshan Gautam. But, right after the release of the movie, Rekha reportedly dumped Sudarshan. Continue reading
Romantic and action packed Nepali movie ‘Dharma’ was released in 2011, featuring Manisha Koirala in lead role. ‘Dharma’ is a presentation of Aasma Films by Diperndra K Khanal. The story and dialouge of the movie is written by Yougesh Rayamajhi and the movie is produced by Dr. Dugra Pokharel.

The movie ‘Dharma’ was promoted as the comeback movie of Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala. Manisha debuted in Nepali movie ‘Feri Bhetaula’ in 1989. But, the movie wasn’t as successful as expected. After that, Manisha went to Bollywood and established herself as the top actress. ‘Feri Bhetaula’ is not available online. The comeback movie ‘Dharma’ also failed to appeal the public. The movie introduces a new actor Samyog Pokharel.
The director of ‘Dharma’, Dipendra K Khanal directed a superhit movie ‘Pashupati Pradad’ last year. He is also the director of ‘Chapali Height’. Other artists in the movie are superstar Rajesh Hamal and action star Nikhil Upreti. This movie was made before Nikhil married Sanchita and left the film industry for five years. Nikhil has made a successful comeback and is busy in the film industry these days. Actress Anu Shah is also featured in the movie. Another actress Rejina Upreti was also a well known actress at the movie’s time. These days, Rejina has left the film industry after marrying her boyfriend. Rejina is expecting a child in November 2016.
‘Dharma’ Story:
The lead character, Rajesh Hamal is called ‘Dharmaa’ in the movie. Dharmaa is posted as the DFO of Kaliban after the poachers killed the previous DFO at the post. Dharmaa leaves his wife Gauri (Manisha Koirala) hat home with his brother Abhaya (Samyog Pokharel) and sister-in-law, Diya (Anu Shah). The poachers and the police in the Kaliban area had teamed up to smuggle the timber from the forest. Nikhil Upreti is featured as DSP Ajit Jung who investigate the incidents at the Kaliban. Watch the movie above to know what happened to Dharmaa and what did DSP Ajit Jung do to take care of the illegal activities.
A new movie is announced titled ‘Rudhra’. In the movie, to be made under his home production banner The Nikhil Upreti Production was announced in a ceremony held in Kathmandu on October 18, 2016. In the movie, a new face, Bishow Sharma will be featured in the leading role. The lead actress is also a new actress, Sara, a UK resident Charted Accountant student.
‘Rudra’ will be directed by Ramji Lamichhane. The film crew had left for Mustang for the shooting after the announcement. The movie will be shot in various locations in Jomsom of Mustang, Karnali, Kohalpur and Narayangadh area. Continue reading

That was the time when every new release were flop. ‘Loot’ rescued the film industry after the unexpected success of the movie.
