UPDATE: Saugat Malla has confirmed the break-up. Online khabar has published his statement. The statement states that they have decided to go in separate path and focus on their career. He has told that it was decided by mutual understanding. Six months earlier, during the release of Nepali movie ‘Radha’, he had told about marriage. Another comment – Script is quiet good but we couldn’t get the right message. If I have my say, I am totally disappointed because of songs which were in Hindi. It could be better if they were in Nepali language. I am a fan of Saugat Malla but, this was one of his mistakes. . She should have been in leading role.

About ‘Shree Paanch Ambare’
The movie directed by Deepa Basnet was released in 2014. The movie featuring Keki and Saugat in leading role also features Bikram Singh Tharu, Raj Gadaili, lokmani Sapkota, Sirjana Adhikari and Diwaj Rai. The movie with different flavour in naming and storyline, the movie gained a lot of talk. But, it wasn’t much successful in box office. The director had expressed her dissatisfaction on the business of the movie.

About ‘Mukhauta’
Being a multi-starrer, the movie was highly awaited. But, the wait resulted in higher expectation – more than what the film had to offer. So the most awaited, gangster/crime themed movie wasn’t successful in the box office. The movie tells the story of the underground mafia operating in Kathmandu. Because of violence and vulgar dialogues, the movie was given an ‘A’ certificate. The grading is given to films only suitable for the audience aged 16 years or older.
I wrote about the movie previously – ‘Mukhauta’ was released on June 13, 2014. The reason movie didn’t get the viewers as expected was attributed to various factors. The world cup football game was running at the time of the release – so, the film makers had also blamed the game for the failure of the movie. ‘Mukhauta’ producer Rabin Shrestha had recently announced the start of the production of the sequel of the movie titled ‘Mukhauta 2’. I had appreciated the participation of Harshika Shrestha in the premier of the movie in spite of her broken leg. The affair between Nisha Adhikari and cricketer Sharad Veshwakar became more apparent when they were seen together at the premier of the movie. This is the debut movie of the director Arpan Thapa as an actor.

Nikhil Upreti debuted as an actor in ‘Pinjada’. A sequel of the super hit movie, ‘Pinjada Back Again’ was released this week featuring new cast and crews except for Nikhil. Actress Nisha Adhikari’s debut movie as a produce, ‘Jhayanakuti’ was the solo release on November 17, 2017. The movie team had done a press show a day before the release. The viewers had given positive response to the quality of the movie.
The movie was previously scheduled to release on August 24. But, when the producer, Nisha decided to get married all of a sudden in June, the release date was delayed by three months.

The sequel of super hit movie ‘Loot’ was also well received and the movie made a huge impact by its item song ‘Thamel Bazar’. Although the sequel wasn’t as successful as the original, people have liked it. A few days ago the movie was leaked in Facebook and now it is made available by the producers. Produced under Princess Movies and Black Horse Pictures Production, and A Popcorn Pictures banner, ‘Loot 2’ is directed by Nischal Basnet, the director of the original movie. In addition to Saugat Malla, Karma, Dayahang Rai, Reecha Sharma the movie also features Bipin Karki, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Srijana Subba, Sushil Raj Pandey, Rratik Raj Neupaney, Sushil Uprety and Alisha Rai.
Nepali actresses come very cheap when compared to their male counterparts. The actress Rekha Thapa, who claims to be equivalent to a male actress, and always works in female-centric movies, is paid less than most of the male actors. Rekha’s rate is Rs. 5 lakh. Actor Anmol KC is paid about five times that amount. Another actor Pradeep Khadka is also paid more than four times that amount. In Rekha’s last movie, she also paid her co-star, Aryan Sigdel, 3 times the amount she expects others to pay her.
Is it a female dominance or a discrimination? Are the actresses not demanding their worth?

The film produced by actress Nisha Adhikari has a suspense – does it have Nisha Adhikari in a role or not. That is because the lead actress of the movie is Benisha Hamala and she is featured opposite to Saugat Malla. Initially it was believed that Nisha will be in the movie by default because she is the producer of the movie. But, when Nisha wasn’t featured in the trailer released recently, people have started wondering if Nisha is in the film or not.

The movie wasn’t much successful at the time of release. The movie is shot in beautiful locations of Siklesh of Kaski and is about the love and relationship with the children.
The first look poster of upcoming movie ‘Fateko Jutta’ indicates that the movie is a suspense thriller. The movie dierected by Nikesh Khadka features Saugat Malla, Priyanka Karki, Kameshowr Chaurasiya and Buddhi Tamang in main roles. The dark comedy movie was initially scheduled to release on Bhadra 23 but, the release date was delayed to Kartik 17 (November 3, 2017).
Produced by the ‘Chapali Height’ franchise producer, Arjun Kumar, the movie is made under the banner Arjun Kumar Films in association with Highlights Nepal and Popcorn Pictures.
Fateko Jutta Poster
In the first look poster, a person is shown standing with his hand on the hip. There is no indication on who the person is because the upper portion of the photo is cropped. Wearing torn shoes and a dhoti, there are empty bottles lying around on the floor. There is a jute sack with something inside it. It looks like the person is closely guarding the jute bag.
Although the poster has been successful in creating a little bit suspense, the design however can’t be considered attractive. The level of suspense is also very mild as it doesn’t raise the curiosity level about either who the guy might be or, what might be in the jute bag. While looking at the poster, one doesn’t care much about the identity of the person of the the content in the bag because there is no addition information about them. Continue reading
