Gopi Krishna announced Thamel.com

A new movie titled ‘Thamel.com’ has been announced by Gopi Krishna movies. After the completion of the shooting of its movie ‘Homework’, the film maker company has announced the second of its 7-movies plan for the year. Earlier, Karishma Manandhar‘s film ‘Falgu’ was planned to be produced jointly with Gopi Krishna. Karishma later decided to go solo in the production of the movie, causing Gopi Krishna to announce the new movie (Falgu news in Nepliactress.com).

A family drama film ‘Thamel.com’ was inaugurated by the Information Minister Minendra Rijal. The movie being directed by Rajkumar Sharma features a story in the streets of Thamel, Kathmandu. The shooting of the film is scheduled to start on Chaitra 5. In the program, first shot was taken on Pramod Agrahari and Nitu Pokharel. The full details of the cast and crew is yet to be made public.

Zhigrana releases the scene deleted by Censor Board

We had rightly predicted that the scene would be objected by the Board. The board has asked the film makers to delete the scene but, failed to stop them from distributing it in the internet.

Now, as it is available more widely in the internet, anybody can see the sex scene the Censor Board had found objectionable. The sad truth is, even after deleting the sex scene, the movie is given an ‘A’ certificate, saying it is only suitable for adult audience.

The film production team apparently is not happy by the decision of the Board and has decided to release the scene in YouTube to show that it is not what adults are accustomed to watch. With the video, ‘Zhigrana’ team have also written the definition of ‘A’ certificate and asked the viewers to tell if it was fair.

Lati to release on May 15, poster released

On the occasion of the birthday of one of the producers of the movie, the release date and poster of the upcoming movie ‘Lati’ was released. A presentation of Shishirjaya Kharel and Prasanna Rimal, ‘Lati’ is made on the direction of Rajbahadur Sane. The movie features Sabina Karki, Rival Malla, GK Sharma, Sujal Nepal and Subhash Gajurel in main roles.

The movie made under the banner of Srijana Films also features the child artist of the hit film ‘Jhola’, Sujal Nepal. The movie is made on a story of a simple girl who goes through hardships because of her simple nature. The movie features music of Basanta Sapkota, action of Pradeep Khadka, cinematography of Padmaraj Shrestha.

The movie releasing this week on Friday, ‘Punarjanma’ was awarded an ‘U’ certificate by the Censor Board. The Board has asked the film makers to remove the scene of a traffic police being bribed.

Lutera, Nikhil back in action film with Nisha, Sabin and Harshika

After being absent for the last four years action actor Nikhil Upreti is making a comeback in an action movie ‘Lutera’. The movie being produced by a film distributor, Gopal Kayastha, will feature actors like Nisha Adhikari, Sabin Shrestha, Amit Shrestha and Harshika Shrestha.

In an event organized in Pashupati CA Member Rambir Manandhar inaugurated the shooting of the movie. The movie to be directed by Dayaram Dahal will also feature an item dance of Priyanka Karki. The movie is going to be shot in locations in Kathmandu and Birgunj. Nai Nabhannu La 4 song recording started even before the release of the third sequel

Even before the release of the third sequel of ‘Nai Nabhannu La’, the song recording of the fourth sequel has already started. The title song of the movie is recorded on the voice of singer Rajesh Payal Rai. The song titled ‘Aanshu Jharna dinna timro Aankhabata… ‘ is written and composed by Basanta Sapkota.

The movie ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’ is scheduled to release on Chaitra 27, 2071. The producer and the director of the first and second sequels, Bikash Acharya, will also direct the fourth sequel.

Bhuwan KC, Dreams, delayed

Bhuwan KC’s new movie ‘Dreams’ has delayed for various reasons. According to Bhuwan, the delay was caused due to the delay in finalizing the script. Other sources blame it on the availability of fund for the production.

The movie to be directed by Bhuwan KC will feature his son Anmol KC in leading role. Bhuwan has reporteldy finalized one actress and is looking for the second actress (according to Nepaliactress.com, one of the actresses is Sandhya KC).

This Friday, on February 27, two new movies are releasing – ‘Ajhai Pani’ and ‘Mission Paisa Reloaded’. The last film of the late director Alok Nembang, ‘Ajhai Pani’ was premiered three days before the release among film artists and journalists.

The sequel of the movie ‘Mission Paisa’ (watch the original ‘Mission Paisa’) is an action comedy movie by director Simosh Sunuwar. The movie features Nisha Adhikari, Amir Gautam, Resh Marahatta and Harshika Shrestha in leading role. The script of the film is written by Prachanda Man Shrestha and is jointly produced by madhav Wagle and Narendra Maharjan. The censor board has awarded a PG certificate to the film.

Popular cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan is blessed with a daughter. Purushottam and Anu Shrestha were married nine months earlier on Baisakh 27. The healthy daughter was born on Falgun 12, 2071 BS.

Purushottam Pradhan is a well known cinematographer with credits like ‘Loot’ (watch ‘Loot’ here), ‘Kabaddi’ (watch ‘Kabaddi’ here), Vigilante, ‘Maya’s Bar’ (Watch ‘Mayas Bar’ here) and others.

Ajhai Pani premiered, Alok Nembang remembered

Three days before the official release of the last film of late director Alok Nembang, ‘Ajhai Pani’ was premiered in Big Movies. In the event, well known musician, Sambhujit Baskota, was honored with the Alok Nembang Award through Trust Alok. Alok’s mother and the producer Poonam Gautam felicitated Sambhujit Baskota with an award.

Sambhujit Baskota is the first music video director in Nepal to make a music video. He started directed the music video in 2043BS featuring actor Bhuwan KC.

In the first interview after the death of her husband of a month, Shree Krishna Shrestha, actress Sweta Khadka has spoken to BBC Nepali radio’s new section, ‘Anautho Byatha’. In the interview, Sweta talked about her condition, her faith and her definition of life. She also assured that she is trying to overcome the grief and start working again.

Killa deemed too much political, censor rejects the film

The movie produced by Subash Meche has landed in trouble after the Censor Board decided that it needs to be re-shoot. The movie titled ‘Killa’ is about the story of the Congress and Nepal Communist Party and the economics of the principle.

The Censor Board has suggested that the movie should be party neutral and shouldn’t advocate for a party (specially when it is not officially sponsored by the party.) The director Himal KC says that the movie is made on a story of a youngster who is confused about the political parties in Nepal. A well known action director, Himal KC, has directed the full featured film. The film features Subash Meche, Surabhi Jain, Wilson Bikram Rai and others. The movie is mostly shot in Jhapa and the area.
