Nepali Movie – Santan Thari Thari Ka

Actress Niruta Singh has recently shared some videos taken during the shooting of the movie in her YouTube channel. In the video she is helping Deepak Raj Giri to wear saree and Dilip Rayamajhi is wearing one. Kids nearby are laughing on the actors. I think the shooting was of this movie. I will also do a video report on the movie.

About ‘Chocoate’

A presentation of Poozana Films, ‘Chocolate’ is a movie made on a story based on child psychology. The director Nirma Sharma debuted as a director in the movie (report). He was well known as Gaida after his comedy role in the popular TV serial ‘Tito Satya’. The producer, Poojana, in an interview had admitted that the movie had flopped (watch the video report attached at the end). The movie was released in December of 2015.

The movie was premiered in Hong Kong before it was released in Nepal (read report). For the promotion of the movie the actress had asked almost every artists to send their best wishes and told their fans to watch the movie.

About ‘Bracelet’
Bracelet marks the comeback of one of the well known actors of the past, Ramesh Upreti. Produced under Kotaki Kalika Devi Films banner, the movie is produced by Keshav Bhattarai. The movie was first announced in March of 2015. A week after the formal announcement, the shooting of the movie commenced in Pokhara. One of the songs of the movie featuring the dance of Ramesh Upreti and Rajani KC was very popular.

The cinematographer of the movie is Sudip Baral, music composers are Tara Prakash and Deepak Sharma, producer is Neeta Bhattarai. The editor of the movie is Bipin Malla, choreography by Gobinda Rai and Kabiraj Gahatraj, action by Himal KC. The writer is Jaya Ojha, background Score by Tsujil Karmacharya. The lyrics of the songs in the movie are written by Madan Ghimire, Shanti Priya, and Deepak Sharma. The singers of the song are Rajesh Payal Rai, Pashupati Sharma, Yubaraj Chaulagain, Tika Pun, Prabisha Adhikari, and Durga Pariyar.

The story of the Minister Janardan Sharma’s commitment of electricity to everybody and the role of the chief of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising to manage the electricity in such a way that the loadshedding was completely eradicated.

In the movie Rajesh Hamal is featured as minister, Sharma and Bijaya Lama is featured as Ghising. The movie made by Shuva Media Home is made on Abhimanyu Nirabi.

Why was 100 days celebration of Chhakka Panja delayed?

The movie ‘Chhakka Panja’ has celebrated 100 days in the theatre on December 17, 2016. But, the pre-planned celebration by the film team was delayed because of the untimely demise of one of the actors in the movie. One of the popular comedian, popularly known as Ladalam after his character in ‘Tito Satya’, RP Bhattarai had died on December 9.

How was ‘Chhakka Panja’ 100 days in theatre celebrated?

On December 17 the film team went to Pashupati temple to thank the god for the success of the movie. As the celebration party was delayed because of Ladalam’s death, they went to the theatres to meet the viewers. It was mostly a silent celebration.

Another new actress has debuted this year in Nepali movie industry. The new actress is Deepika Prasai, debuting in upcoming movie ‘Aishwarya’. The movie ‘Aishwarya’ is produced by the well known actor of Nepali movie industry, Ramesh Upreti.

The shooting of ‘Aishwarya’ is going on in various locations in Kathmandu. Originally a model, the actress is also being featured in a character of a model in the movie.

Failures and successes in Deepak Raj Giri’s life

When you look at the life of Deepak Raj Giri, it was nothing to laugh at. A comedy actor, Deepak, went through a very tough time while growing up. Some of the depressing moments of Deepak’s life:

  • Mother died when he was 4. As a kid, Deepak didn’t know what mother’s love is.
  • Failed SLC twice. The School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam is considered the iron gate of our life. Being not able to pass the basic school exam is considered a total failure in Nepali context.
  • Marriage aged 18. Having a responsibility of a wife at an young age is an added responsibility.
  • Ran away from police training. He was about to become a police officer. But, the training proved to be too tough and he had to run away before the completion of the training.
  • Kicked out of home – When he couldn’t get into job and won’t earn a living, his father decided to teach him the life lesson and asked him take his family and live on his own.
  • The movie featuring Deepak Raj Giri in leading role, ‘Sundar Mero Nam’ flopped.

Dashain 2016 – Dashain Tika photos (Update with videos)

UPDATE: Dashain has finished today. I collected 100s of photos of celebrities. But, posting them in the page would not be that much interesting to the most of the site visitors. So, I collected the photos of 40+ Nepali actress celebrating Dashain this year and prepared a video (I deleted the video – nobody watched it).

I also prepared a video about the fist Dashain of two Miss Nepal sons. In addition to the sons of Jharana Bajracharya and Malvika Subba, the daughter of actress Richa Ghimire also celebrated her Dashain for the first time in her life.

Holi 2016 – Celebrity Photo feature

Like previous years, the celebrities of Nepali film industry celebrated Holi festival in jolly mood. The festival of color was celebrated at various locations. Like every year, actress Karishma Manandhar had invited everybody to celebrate Holi at her residence. Last year, Karishma was busy in the shooting of ‘Fagu’ and couldn’t organize the festival at home.

Nepali artists welcome Team Nepal, Gold Medal winner at SAG Football

A huge crowd was gathered at the Tribhuvan airport in Kathmandu to welcome the Gold Medal winner in Football at the 12th South Asian Game (SAG).  The victory was the first in the last 23 years. The win was important after the police arrested various players accusing them of match fixing in various international games.

Among the public present at the airport to welcome the victorious Team Nepal, were some well known artists. Among the artists were Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Nirmal Sharma, Jitu Nepal, singers Pramod Kharel, singer Komal Oli, actress Chhulthim Gurung and Yuvaraj Chaulagain.

Team Nepal had won the final game against Indian team in the final of the football game in SAG. The team arrived in Tribhuvan Airport at 4:45 on Wednesday.

The employees of Airport authority had gone to the aircraft to welcome the victorious team. After the welcome ceremony, the team members were taken in an Army vehicle in a victory rally. The rally went from Tilganga Chowk, Gaushala, Rato Pul, Gyaneshowr, Kamal Pokhari and ended at the Dasarath stadium. A celebration program was held at the stadium.

The audio jukebox of upcoming movie ‘Bracelet’ has been released. There are three songs in the jukebox. The movie directed by Nirmal Sharma marks the comeback of Ramesh Upreti after his long absence from the industry. Although the shows in USA and Canada are fixed, the release date in Nepal is yet to be fixed. With Ramesh Upreti the movie features Rajani KC, Namrata Sapkota and Nir Shah.

Chocolate flopped, says the producer Poojana Pradhan

The producer, writer and the actress of ‘Chocolate’, Poojana Pradhan has expressed her frustration in Facebook after the movie failed to attract enough viewers. The debut movie of Poojana as a producer was made on the story of street children was released in theatre on Friday, December 4. Poojana had been supporting orphan children in her home and was also involved in Jayasangat movement. She had written the story based on her experience with the children and had high hopes from the movie.

In a Facebook post Poojana wrote, “‘Chocolate’ flopped because you didn’t watch it.” She had claimed that she has written a very good story and she had good intentions from the movies, but she didn’t get the support from the viewers. She has also told that the  status is the last status she will update in Facebook.

‘Chocolate’ is the debut movie the director Nirmal Sharma. Known as ‘Gaida’ in popular comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’, Nirmal has also directed another upcoming movie ‘Bracelet’. In a Facebook post, Nirmal has written, “Hold on, god knows what he is doing!”
