Hot Nepali movie ‘April Fool’ is a presentation of Third Team Films by Kamal Keshav Lamichhane. The censor board has given an ‘A’ rating for the movie – suitable only for viewers 16-years-old and older for the contents in the movie. The movie is produced by Tikaram Bista and made on the story of Muskan Dahal and script by Prakash Puri. The cinematographer is Ramsharan Upreti, choreographer is Kabiraj Gahatraj and action by Surya Thokar.

The theme of the movie is sex and comedy. Both the actresses Sumina Ghimire and Mahima Silwal are considered the liberal actress in showing off their bodies and offering steamy scenes.

Friday Release, Mala

This Friday, on March 20, 2015, ‘Mala’ is the only movie released in theaters. The movie made on thriller theme is a story of a dead soul. Actress Priyanka Karki is featured as the central character and is mostly mute throughout the movie.

The movie also features Aryan Sigdel, Sumina Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Sambhu Thapa, Bidhya Karki, Namita Acharya, Shishir Rana and others.

Sumina Ghimire marries her pilot boyfriend

Nepali actress Sumina Ghimire has married a pilot boyfriend, Rosha Sapkota in a program held in Kathmandu. In a not-so-publicized event, very few film industry personalities were invited and the event was kept within the friends and family circle. Well ahead of the marriage, there were rumors of the upcoming marriage but, no dates and details were revealed.

Sumina reportedly is retiring from the film industry. She had stopped signing any new films after the decision of marriage was made. Sumina’s movie ‘Bhimdatta’ was released on Friday. Sumina’s role and acting has been highly appreciated in the movie. Sumina’s next movie ‘Mala’ is going to release after a while.

Friday Release – Naike and Rang Baijani

This week two new Nepali movies ‘Naike’ and ‘Rang Baijani’ are releasing on theater on Friday, December 5, 2014. One movie is action themed and another is a story of female relationship.

The movie directed by Shambhu Pradhan, ‘Rang Baijani’ features actresses Sumina Ghimire and Garima Pant with Dikpal Karki. The movie made on a story of extramarital relationship and clash between two women marks the comeback of the well known director after 12 years of absence from the Nepali film industry. The female oriented film is expected to do well in theaters out of Kathmandu.

Bhimdutt special show in Kathmandu, Prachanda, Vaidya, Deuba watched

A special screening of a movie made on a historical personality, ‘Bhimdutt’ was conducted in Kumari theater in Kathmandu on May 29, 2014. Before screening in Kathmandu, the movie was screened in USA, Hong Kong and Dadeldhura, the birth place of Bhimdutt.

No more sexy films for Sumina Ghimire, realizes sex doesn’t sell

Actress Sumina Ghimire has realized that the films on sex theme don’t have future. After acting in some hot movies and showing some skin, Sumina has decided not to do such films any more. None of the so-called-hot-movies could recover their businesses. They also caused negative impact on Sumina’s career. Sumina was left without any movies for some time.

Sumina was talking during a charity show of her upcoming movie ‘Bhimdutta’. The biopic movie directed by Himgyap Tasi is made on historical plot and Sumina is featured as a simple village girl in the movie. The movie features Sumina Ghimire, Nisha Adhikari, Nawal Khadka, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Rabi Giri in main roles.

Do Nepali actresses dance in Dubai hotels and casinos?

In a recent rumor, ‘Dhuwani’ actress Sagun Shahi has started dancing in hotels in Dubai. That was not all, it is revealed that a lot of other Nepali actress have been dancing in star hotels in Dubai.

The hotels run by Indian nationals demand Indian and Nepali actresses to dance in their hotels and casinos. The pay of such dancers range from 2,500 Riyal to 4,000 Riyal per month. The actresses usually dance in the hotels for few months to a year and come back to do movies. The movies they do are only to maintain their actress status. The earning made in acting is no match to the earning they make in Dubai.

Actress and model Simpal Khanal has been dancing in Dubai for some time. Five years ago, Simpal had married Prasanna Poudel, but the marriage lasted less than two years. It is rumored that Prasanna wasn’t happy when Simpal started visiting Dubai.

Real Names of Nepali artists who had changed their name after entering the film industry

Changing names is a common practice among Nepali artists for a better name or for good luck. Some astrologers suggest a different names for the success in their career. For example, Bhuwan KC changed his name to a 7-lettered Bhuwann before the release of his movie ‘Sathi Ma Timro‘. It’s a different story, the movie didn’t do well in theater. Actress Binita Baral had also changed her name to Beenita (7-letters) on the suggestion of an astrologer. The result of the change in names were not that exciting. But, that won’t deter people from changing names. Others change to a better sounding names like Shova to Nandita, Radheshyam to Ramit, Nawaraj to Nawal and so on.

Love Forever releasing on June 28

Shankar Acharya’s movie ‘Love Forever’ is releasing next week (on June 28) in theaters all over Nepal. The movie features Gajit Bista, Sumina Ghimire and Niraj Baral in main roles. Shankar Acharya’s son Raj Acharya is also debuting in a short role in the movie. Raj Acharya is known as the child artist in popular comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’.

Nepali movie on the life of martyr Bhimdutta Pant being made

A Nepali movie based on the life of the martyr Bhimdutta Pant is being shot in the location in far-western Nepal. The martyr Bhimdutta is known for his fight against cast system and Rana autocracy. More than 60 percent of the movie is scheduled to be shot in the Western Nepal.

In the history of Nepali movies, this will be the first movie based on the life of a martyr. The movie titled ‘Bhimdutt’ is being produced and directed by Himgyap Tasi Lama. The movie will also feature songs based on the quotations of Bhimdutta and will showcase the attractions of Western Nepal.

At the time when more movies are focused on sex-theme, the producers have told that the movie is different from the others. Love Forever another movie made on sexual topic

In the promo released on May 6, upcoming movie of director Shankar Acharya features some hot bed scenes and sex related dialogues. But, the director claims that the movie is clean and doesn’t have excessive sexual content.

One of the dialogues of Sumina Ghimire in the movie is, “I love sex.” She is also featured in hot bed scenes and is shown sexy in the song titled ‘Raatki Rani’.

Sumina Ghimire forced to admit her mistake, FJAN threatens everybody

In a press release by actress Sumina Ghimire she has admitted her mistake during the telephone conversation with the journalist Bijaya Awaj Subedi. She stated that she regret her statement and wasn’t meant to be a threat to the journalist.

She added, she has high respect to journalism and that will always be her view. The reason of the statement after a month late is not known but it seems, Film Journalist Association of Nepal, an organization in which Bijaya Awaj is one of the member, had forced the actress to issue the statement. The statement of FJAN , signed by the secretary Laxman Subedi, has a threatening remark to "everybody" to respect journalists.
