Namrata Shrestha clarifies the rumor
In a long message posted by actress Namrata Shrestha in her Facebook account, she has asked her fans not to believe in baseless rumors.
Various online blogs and click-farms have been spreading baseless rumors creating a crisis of trust of the online media. Namrata’s rumor about the Communication Minister Minendra Rijal asking her a indecent favor for National Award is one of the latest such rumor.

Namrata, Rajesh Hamal, Karishma lobbying for elected chief of state in the constitution
Youths and film artists have teamed for lobbying for the elected chief of the state in the new constitution. Actress Namrata Shrestha had participated in a student meet organized in Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus on Monday. A group of youths along with Namrata has been actively campaigning for the provision in the constitution. In addition to elected chief, Namrata is also supporting religious freedom.
Actor Rajesh Hamal and actress Karishma Manandhar have also supported elected chief. In a political meet organized on Saturday, the artists have highlighted the importance of an elected Prime Minister. Actor Hamal told that he believes in the Presidential rule. Karishma recalled the governments formed after the 2046 BS change.
Rekha Thapa breaks Malaysia promise for the third time, Karishma replaces her
It has been three times Rekha Thapa has missed participating in the cultural program organized by Nepali living in Malaysia. This year, Rekha had promised to participate in the Friendship Dhamaka 2015 but cancels her participation as the time nears.
Last year, in 2014, Rekha didn’t go to Malaysia to participate in the NEFTA Award at the last minute. According to reports, Rekha didn’t go when bargaining for the Best Actress Award failed.
In 2013, Rekha didn’t go to ‘Remix Dhamaka 5’ as promised. Rekha was highly criticized and the organizers were very worried for Rekha’s irresponsible behavior.
Now, it has been a hat-rick of Rekha’s being irresponsible to the Nepali people in Malaysia three years in row. Will they forgive her, only time will tell. Now, the organizers are greteful to actress Karishma Manandhar for agreeing to participate in the program in place of Rekha.
Karishma Manandhar and artists hand over 50 houses to Chogaun residents, more houses being made
Actress Karishma Manandhar in co-ordination with Param Shakti Peeth is constructing 75 temporary residences for earthquake victims. Out of the promised 75 houses, 50 houses were handed over to the earthquake victims in an even organized on Tuesday, June 23. Minister Minendra Rijal was also present at the handing ceremony of the housed named Batsalaya Kuti to the locals of Chogaun.

The houses were constructed in Chogaun of Dharmasthali Municipality in Kathmandu. In addition to the minister the Film Development Board chairman and other film artists has participated in the program.
Karishma Manandhar is earthquake ready – a temporary residence like a film set
Film maker and actress Karishma Manandhar and her husband, producer Binod Manandhar have constructed a film-set like temporary residence to live during the earthquake crisis. The temporary residence looks like a film studio set with bed rooms and kitchen.
The temporary residence is covered in corrugated sheets and has bamboo walls with proper door, windows and proper ventilation.
9 actresses launched audio of Adhakatti
The audio of upcoming movie ‘Adhakatti’ was released in a program held in Kathmandu on April 20, 2015 in Kathmandu. The music album, of the movie to release on May 22, was unveiled by a group of nine actresses of Nepali film industry. The actresses in the ceremony include Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula, Namrata Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, Neeta Dhungana, Richa Sharma, Shilpa Pokharel, and Harshika Shrestha.
In addition to the release of the album, musical program was held in the event. Gaurav Pahadi, Rista Basnet, Pradeep Bastola, Ashishma Nakarmi and Wilson Bikram Rai danced in the movie song on the stage. Actress Namrata Shrestha also danced in the event. Namrata is featured in an item dance in the movie.

The shooting of upcoming movie of Karishma Manandhar, ‘Falgu’ has finished in the East Nepal. After the shooting in Koshi barrage in Birgunj, the shooting of the comeback movie of Karishma completed.
The movie being directed by Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar, features Karishma Manandhar, Shilpa Pokharel, Rajesh Hamal, Subash Parajuli, Gauri Malla and others. The movie is made on the struggle of a woman in the Terai setting.

Friday Release, Suntali and One Way
Two new Nepali movies are released on this Friday, February 13, 2015. The movies released to take advantage of the Valentine Day crowd on Feb 14, ‘One Way’ and ‘Suntali’ both are the awaited movies. Both the movies look promising but, we need to wait a while to know which of the films appeals the love birds.

One Way
The movie featuring Siddhartha Gurung, Mala Subba, Karishma Manandhar, Rabin Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai and others is a gangster themed film. The movie got positive reviews on the premier show held on Wednesday. The movie directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ is shot by three cameras. The film by RC Pictures banner is a story of new generation and old generation and night life in Kathmandu.
Phagu, producer Karishma Manandhar comeback film announced
In an event held in Hotel Yak and Yeti, actress Karishma Manandhar made a comeback as a producer by announcing the starte fo the shooting of her upcoming movie ‘Falgu’. Karishma’s god-mother Anjali Shrestha had inaugurated the shooting of the film. Anjali is credited for the entry of Karishma in the Nepali film industry. Karishma is producing the film in association with Gopi Krishna Movies. The film marks the comeback of Karishma as a producer in the film industry after 14 years.
The movie is being directed by Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar also features actor Rajesh Hamal in an important role. The leading actors will be new actor Subash Parajuli and Shilpa Pokharel. Other actors in the movie include Karishma Manandhar, Binod Manandhar, Gauri Malla, Basanta Bhatta and others.
Karishma Manandhar to make comeback as a producer after 14 years
Actress Karishma Manandhar has made a comeback in Nepali film industry as a producer after 14 years. After unexpected failure and loss of huge amount of money Karishma went in hiding. The failure was so frustrating that she left everything to go and stay in the USA. Now, she is testing her luck for the second time as a producer.
Karishma says that she still see the potential of commercial movies. She thinks that it is tough to recover the investment from the movies with new tests and experiments. She wants her film to feature love, romance, tragedy, thriller and action and help every types of movie goers to enjoy it.

The movie also features a dog named Champa and actor Salon Basnet in his childhood days with child artist Chandani Pradhan. Guest artists in the film include Deepa Shree Niraula, Shrisha Karki, Pradeep Singh and Madanman Bajracharya. Gauri Malla, Ashok Sharma and Rabi Giri are featured in special appearances.
Nepali Movie – Maya’s Bar

We posted a pre-release review of ‘Mayas’s Bar’. The movie was awarded various awards like D Cine Award and National Film Award. The film makers had thanked the artists Mohan Niraula, Dhiren Shakya, Raj Bhai Suwal, NB Maharjan, RP Bhattarai and Raju Thapa for their help in the film. The movie is a presentation fo Shree Ram Balaji Films. The child artist featured in the film, Rirendra Shrestha, is the world record holder for being the youngest photographer in Guinness Book of World Records.
