Nepali movie ‘Woda Number Chha’ was released in theatres in Kathmandu on September 18, 2015. Because of the uncertainity in the the places out of Kathmandu, the release in other cities in Nepal had been postponed.

The movie is set in Ward No. 6 in an unspecified village of Nuwakot. It is the story of five guys of Jhulebasti. The lives of the five guys is fun filled until one of the guys like the daughter of their master, Sushila. Then, Maoist insurgency also enters in the story-line. The movie however is not centered in Maoist war and doesn’t decide on whether the war was wrong or right. It only shows how and who benefited from the war.
The movie ‘Papi’ is a presentation of Min Sagar Lama. Rajendra Khadgi is the executive producer of the movie.

In a special ceremony held in Kathmandu on September 20, 2015, the new constitution of Nepal was unveiled by the president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the Constitution Assembly (CA) in Kathmandu. The constitution was written after an 8-years-long writing process spanning two Constitution Assemblies. Although there are still some people who are not satisfied by the new constitution, ninety percent of CA members had endorsed it. The citizens of Terai region have complained that the Constitution hasn’t incorporated their demands. As the new Constitution can easily be amended by 2/3 majority in the parliament, all the concerns can easily be incorporated in future amendments. According to reports, the new Constitution is the most democratic Constitution in the history of Nepal. On the completion of the lengthy constitution writing process, the film artists have welcomed it and have congratulated everybody for the achievement. This Friday, on September 18, Nepali movie ‘Woda Number Chha’ is released on theater. The unofficial sequel of the super-hit movie ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ is a solo release this week.
Because of the possibility of unrest after the release of the constitution of Nepal on Sunday, the release of ‘Woda Number Chha’ in theaters out of Kathmandu have been postponed. The distributor company AFD has decided to release the movie only the the theatres in Kathmandu. That is the reason, the promotion effort of the movie was focused only in Kathmandu.
After the success of ‘Chha Ekan Chaa’ the production team had teamed up to produce the second movie of similar theme and comedy. ‘Woda Number Chaa’ is directed by Ujjwal Ghimire and is produced jointly by Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma. The movie is produced under the banner of Aama Saraswoti Geeta Devi Movies. The classic Nepali movie ‘Saraswoti’ is a presentation of Ishwori Films. The superhit movie by Shambhu Pradhan also features Sambhu and his wife in the movie. The movie is produced by Shambhu Pradhan himself.
The mother of late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, Jagat Kumari Shrestha, has died suddenly at a hospital in Kathmandu. 88-years old Jagat Kumari was taken to Om hospital for regular checkup on Tuesday. She died at the hospital on Wednesday night, on September 16.

Rekha’s movie ‘Rampyari’ is inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Bishowkarma Puja. According to Hindu belief, Bishowkarma is the god of tools. On every Shrawan 1st god Bishowkarma is worshiped and the tools like vehicle, computer, camera etc. are worshiped for them to work properly. Rekha Thapa has chosen actor Sabin Shrestha to be featured opposite to her in her upcoming movie ‘Rampyari’. Although she took a long time to choose the actor in the role, the relationship between the two is still good. Rekha is known to drift away from the actor who debut in her movies. Rekha Thapa had introduced in Sabin Shrestha in ‘Andaaz’ (watch ‘Andaaz’ here) in 2011.
Rekha’s nephew Avash Adhikari was chosen for a main role in March and his opposite in the movie is going to be Ashma DC according to a report published on the first week of September. After signing the agreement with Sabin, the movie is going to floor on Ashoj 1 (September 18). After a lengthy stay in the USA, Rekha had returned back to Nepal on July 27 to start the shooting of the movie.

Actor, director, producer, script writer, lyricist, poet and a businessman; Nir Shah is a multifaceted personality in Nepali movie industry. Nir helped in establishing Nepal Television in 1984. After that, he started acting, directing and producing movies. After he left Nepal Television, he also started his own cable television network and a television channel Shangrila Channel in 2003. Nir Shah is one of the co-producers of Oscar nominated 1999 movie ‘Himalaya’ (or ‘Caravan’). He had produced movies like Jeevan Sathi, Siudo Ko Sindoor, Seto Bagh and Masan.
The Nepali movie premiered in Venice Film Festival, ‘Kalo Pothhi’ has been awarded the Best Film award at the Critics Week at the 72nd Venice Film Festival. The festival was held from 2nd September to 12 September, 2015. The festival organized by Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean (FEDEORA) is one of the oldest film festivals in the world.
After winning the award, the director Min Bahadur Bham has told, “I want to dedicate this award to the my beautiful but torn country and my fellow Nepalese. I pray that peace prevails in my county and end the political crisis.” In the thank you speech, Bham has also remembered his late mother who had passed away recently.
The 3rd edition of NFDC Film Award ceremony was held in Kathmandu on September 12 at Hotel Hayat in Boudha. TIn the ceremony ‘Kabaddi’ was awarded the best movie of the year 2071. Actor Aryan Sigdel was awarded the best actor for his role in ‘November Rain’ and actress Priyanka Karki was awarded the Best actress for her role in ‘Suntali’.
Nepali actor in Hollywood, Jaswant Dev Shrestha, has won the Best Leading Actor award in the Accolade Global Film Competition. The award was awarded to Shrestha for his role in the short film, ‘The Treason’. In addition to the best actor award he was also awarded Award of Merit for script writing.

The censor board has given an ‘A’ rating for the movie – suitable only for viewers 16-years-old and older for the contents in the movie. The movie is produced by Tikaram Bista and made on the story of Muskan Dahal and script by Prakash Puri. The cinematographer is Ramsharan Upreti, choreographer is Kabiraj Gahatraj and action by Surya Thokar.
The theme of the movie is sex and comedy. Both the actresses Sumina Ghimire and Mahima Silwal are considered the liberal actress in showing off their bodies and offering steamy scenes.
