Ashisma Nakarmi to be featured in Adhakatti

Actress Ashisma Nakarmi has been signed up to be featured in a dance number in ‘Adhakatti’. The movie directed by journalist Subrat Acharya featurs the story of Subash Dhakal and scritp of Bijaya Adhikari. The cinematograpehr of the movie is Madan Kashyap (Ghimire).

‘Adhakatti’ features Wilson Bikram Rai, Gaurav Pahadi, Rista Basnet, Pradeep Bastola in main roles. Actress Namrata Shrestha will also be featured in guest role .The shooting of the movie is expected to start on the first week of Falgun.

Chhabi doesn’t have faith in women, won’t marry again

One of the top producers of Nepali film industry, Chhabi Raj Ojha has announced that he won’t marry again. The 48-years-old businessman was responding to the rumor of his proposal to the actress of his upcoming movie, ‘Lazza’. A rumor of the actress Shilpa Pokharel being proposed by Chhabi was published in online and offline media. We also talked about it although we were skeptical on the news.

Talking to an online magazine, Chhabi told that after reviewing his marital history he doesn’t want to marry again. He told, "I don’t have faith in women anymore. Don’t talk about marriage." He also told that he won’t be proposing anybody after the divorce with Rekha Thapa. Chhabi says that he has failed in matters related to marriage. Now, he says that the cinema is his home and his life partner.

Nandita KC donated Rs. 81k to kids with HIV

Actress Nandita KC visited ‘Baby Life Home’ in Kirtipur to handover Rs. 81,111 to the organization taking care of HIV positive kids. The residence established four years ago is home to HIV positive 16 orphan kids.

Nandita had raised the money during the cultural program in Hong Kong. The money was raised with the help of Miss Hong Kong Nepal VC Lileshowri Khadka, Miss Hong Kong Nepal 2012 Parina Subba, Sunita Gurung, Netra Pahari and Ganesh Basnet.

Rose Rana becomes a father to a son

Producer and actor Rose Rana has become a father to a son on January 27, 2014. Rose’s wife Upama KC gave birth to a healthy son at around 7:15 PM in Norvic Hospital, Thapathali. It had been about 6 years since Rose got married to Upama (in 2064 BS).

Rose had been one of the most controversial producer in the Nepali film industry. He was also arrested for running illegal business and was dragged into controversy over affair with an actress. Rose has been mending his family relationship after that. The birth to the son is expected to stabilize the family life of Rose. Rose had postponed his movies ‘Heroine’ and ‘Gangster’ to start a different business.

Shiva Regmi’s Daughter Bhawana got married within months of her father’s death

The actress daughter of late director, Shiva Regmi, Bhawana Regmi has got married today. Shiva Regmi had died on December 9, 2013 after failing to recover from kidney failure. The reason behind the marriage in a hurry is not known.

According to Hindu tradition, events like marriages are not held in a home for a year when somebody dies. The reason behind the marriage of the daughter within two months of the death of the father is not not known.

In the past, actress Jenisha KC got a lot of movie when actor Biraj Bhatt recommended her in the movies he did at the time. After he left the Nepali movie industry to make it big in Bhojpuri movies, the movies Jenisha got reduced in number. Although Jenisha doesn’t do as many movies, she has been travelling foreign countries to participate in various events.

Jenisha has recently returned back from the UK after the completion of the shooting of ‘Adhi Bato’ of NRN producer of Luxemburg, Ramesh Twayna.

Karishma daughter Kabita returned back to USA after doing a music video

The only daughter of actress Karishma Manandhar, Kabita Manandhar, is also trying her luck in entertainment industry. Currently living in USA for studies, Kabita was in Nepal for a month-long vacation. While in Nepal she did a music video, a debut role as a model.

Kabita had arrived in Nepal on December 17, 2013 while Karishma was participating in a cultural program in Doha. She returned back to the USA on Tuesday.

Kabita also celebrated her birthday at home and later organized a formal program, in which well known film personalities were invited.

The daughter of well known actress Karishma Manandhar, Kabita Manandhar is going to be featured in a music video of singer Saroj Dutta titled ‘Bhaigo’. In the comeback single of Saroj, after a gap of 8 years, model Sakar Thapa is featured in Kabita’s opposite.

The music video is the directorial debut of Miss ANA 2012, Sushma Bogati. Other artists involved in the project are – Sukhee Suwal in makeup, Arjoon KC of A Factory Studio as project manager, Nikesh Shrestha as cinematographer and post production. The music video is the first joint venture of AFactory Studio and Kantipur Films.

Chha Ekan Chha the first movie of Nirmal Sharma, Gaida to recover investment

The comedy actor commonly known as Gaida after the character he does in ‘Tito Satya’, Nirmal Sharma is also a movie producer. Out of the six movies he has produced so far, only one movie, ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ has resulted in profit. All his previous movies had flopped.

Last movie he produced was produced jointly with Sudhanshu Joshi – ‘Nepal’ in 2007. The movie also filmed in USA had a huge investment that couldn’t be recovered.

Baboo Bogati had secretly married in October of 2013 and had kept the identity of his wife a secret. According to a latest rumor, his wife is Phoolu Mizzar. Originally from Jhapa, Phoolu currently lives in the Columbus, USA.

Rajesh Hamal proved his talent in Court Martial, it earned record breaking 15 lakhs in 32 days

Namrata Shrestha writing a movie, planning to direct it herself

One of the versatile actresses of Nepali movie industry, Namrata Shrestha, is writing the story of a movie. The model turned actress is a very good actress and dancer is known to work in movies that have stories that appeal to her.

According to an online magazine, Namrata has finished writing the first few chapters. Apart from being the writer of the movie, she is also planning on testing her directorial skills in the movie. It seems to be shaping up, to be a complete Namrata Shrestha movie with writing, direction and acting. The desire to directÂ movie came from the fact that her some of her friends have already started film direction. But, she is willing to wait a while and establish herself in the acting career.
