State honor was offered to late Shree Krishna Shrestha before cremating at Pashupati. The body of Shree was covered in the national flag of Nepal and a team of Nepal Police offered salute to the actor.
The representative of Nepal Government, communication minister Minendra Rijal covered the body of Shree Krishna by the National flag of Nepal before Shree’s brother ignited the body.
UPDATE – Suraj and Sahana Bajracharya have released a joint statement telling that this report is not true.
Kantipur VJ duo Sahana Bajracharya and Suraj Giri were reportedly found interlocked inside Suraj’s private car in Chitwan. According to a report in Sanghu weekly, they were having fun in the car at around 3:00 AM when police spotted the shaking car. When they looked inside, they found Sahana and Suraj in near naked state.
When Sahana and Suraj told that they were Kantipur journalists, the police left them alone. The police officers had reportedly called the news chief Tirtha Koirala and Bhushan Dahal to confirm they were journalists.
UPDATE: Film Development Board of Nepal has released a press statement detailing the full program (attached at the end of the post). According to the letter, the body will arrive at 1 PM and it will be kept at Pragya Bhawan till 5:30 PM before taking it to Arya Ghat.

The body of actor Shree Krishna Shrestha is arriving in Kathmandu at 2 PM on August 11, 2014. The government is planning a honor ceremony and a procession from the airport to Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi. He will be kept there for three hours before taking to Arya Ghat, Pashupati for the cremation at around 5 PM. The prime minister Sushil Koirala is also scheduled to offer the last good bye to Shree.
In another report, Shree Krishna had reportedly told Sweta and his elder brother Min Krishna not to take his dead body back to Nepal. He didn’t want to give pain to his 82-years-old mother and his fans by showing his dead body. But, his family and friends have decided to bring him home so that his fans and family can say the last good bye.
In a latest report, Shree Krishna Shrestha is told to have died of bone cancer. According to the director Aakash Adhikari, Shree Krishna died at 11:00 PM on Saturday August 9, 2014 in Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. The news of the death was only announced at around 5 AM on Sunday.
Soon after the marriage of Shree Krishna and Sweta Khadka on Ashad 23 (July 7) they left for honeymoon. Initially, Shree was suffering from dry cough. He didn’t look that healthy and had lost some weight at the time of the marriage. In hospital he was diagnosed with deep pneumonia. Bone cancer is reportedly diagnosed a week before the death.
Because of the serious illness, Sweta and Shree Krishna couldn’t participate in the promotion of their movie ‘Kohinoor’. In a press meet held last month, the director of the movie, Aakash Adhikari had almost cried while talking about the actor. In a message sent from the hospital bed, Shree Krishna had told that he will be back soon. The movie ‘Kohinoor’ was released on this Friday.
The movie produced and led by the couple Shree Krishna Shrestha and Sweta Khadka, ‘Kohinoor’ was released in theaters on Friday, August 8. Although a grand premier show was canceled, a show was also held in Kumari Theater in Friday morning among some journalists and film personalities.
Another movie released in theater was ‘Shisha’. A movie directed by RBK Sharad is a romance, action and social drama movie. The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel, Uma Baby, Ragini Khadgi, Nirmal Senchuri, Dipesh Bhandari, Shreya Duala was shot in Sikkim and Nepal. The movie also feature Indian football player Bhaichung Bhutiya.
Shree Krishna and Sweta had sent an audio message telling that they won’t be present in the release and promotion of the movie because of Shree’s sickness and treatment in India.
A gangster and a criminal wanted by the Police, Dinesh Adhikari, popularly known as Chari, was killed in an encounter with police in Kathmandu on August 6, 2014. After the incident, a model and his girlfriend Khusbu Oli has revealed that they were all set to get married soon.

Khusbu also told that ‘Chari’ was killed over her. Talking to journalists in Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Khusbu told that another gangster Arpan Koirala had liked her and wanted to marry her. She told, Arpan had told that he will kill Dinesh over her. She accused Arpan to team up with DSP Kumud Dhungel in the killing. She also claimed that Kumud had also blackmailed her by telling that he is planning to kill Chari.
Khusbu also told that he had been receiving threats to the life of Chari for the last six months. She told it had only been 15 days since he had arrived in Kathmandu. To escape police, he had also changed his appearance.
Actor Shree Krishna Shrestha has sent an audio message to his fans from the hospital bed. The actor who is being treated for pneumonia in Apollo Hospital, New Delhi hasn’t been able to participate in the promotion of his movie ‘Khoinoor’. Previously scheduled premier show has also been canceled because of the absence of the producers and lead actors of the movie Shree and Sweta Khadka. Shree Krishna and Sweta had married last month and they were in their honeymoon to India.

After ‘Visa Girl‘ the actor and producer Vinay Shrestha is bringing another Nepali movie, ‘Resham Filili’ by the end of this year. V Motion Pictures chief, Vinay, has been successful in selling the foreign rights of the movie even before it is complete.
Vinay has recently signed an agreement with a Sikkim company, White Horse, for the movie rights in the Nepali speaking area in India. Before that, he has also sold the rights of screening in the USA and the UK. The movie will be released in foreign countries before it is released in Nepal.
The only Nepali movie released on Friday, August 1, 2014 is Nisha Adhikari‘s movie ‘Mero Valentine’. The movie produced by Sushil Shrestha, the movie is made on the story of love and friendship. It is a romantic story of friendship, betrayal, and sex.
