About ‘Star’

This movie is a presentation of Sangam Vision by Mahendra Budhathoki. The movie debuts Niraj Baral in the leading role opposite to hot actress Sumina . Sanskar Budhathoki is the child artist in the movie. Guest artists in the movie include Saurab Karki, Sital KC, Shobhit Basnet, Sanu Tamrakar, Krishna Chapagain, and Laxman Subedi.

The mvoie features the choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj, Shiva BK and Suraj Chand. The executive producer of the movie is a well known journalist, Laxman Subedi. The script and story of the movie is written by the director Mahendra Budhathoki himself.

After being featured in hot scenes in a lot of movies and giving controversial interviews, the actress went through tough time because of the controversies. Actress Sumina finally quit the Nepali movie industry soon after getting married in March of 2015.

About ‘3 Lovers’

A presentation of 3 Brothers Creation, Nepali movie ‘3 Lovers’ is produced by Prince (Raju) Shrestha, Sagar Pokharel, and Story Pokharel. The script of the movie is written by Shivam Adhikari, music is composed by Rajan Ishan and Baboo Bogati. The singers in the movie are Rajan Ishan, Baboo Bogati, Prabisha Adhikari, Indira Joshi, Dharmedra sewang, Manisha Pokhrel, and Yuvraj Chaulagain. The lyrics in the movie are written by Daya Ram Pandey, Devu Shrestha, and Kishor Thapa. Action by Himal KC, editing by Dirgha Khadka and the cinematography by Purushottam Pradhan.

I had written a per-release review of 3-lovers back in December 2012. Before being released in Nepal, the movie was premiered in Israel. The movie team had protested to the fact that the Censor Board had awarded it a PG certificate. The movie was released on December 7, 2012.

The movie ‘Stupid Man’ was released on October 25, 2014 and was liked by the viewers. The movie was one of the top 10 successful movies of the year 2071 BS. The music director Arjun Pokharel was awarded the Best Music Director in NEFTA Films Award, 2015. The movie produced by Suva Films features the choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj, editing of Dirgha Khadka, right direction by Astha Maharjan and screenplay by Samipya Raj Timilsina. The movie was fully shot in Thailand.

After Thailand, Niraj Baral’s next movie to be shot in the USA

Well known actor Niraj Baral debuted as a producer in ‘Stupid Man’. The movie fully shot in Thailand was released in October last year. Niraj’s next movie is also going to be shot in foreign soil. This time, it is the USA.

The movie to be made on the story of the Nepali students living in the USA will feature Niraj in the leading role. Other artists are yet to be finalized. Although the preparation has started the shooting of the unnamed movie will take at least six months to commence. Niraj is planning to start the shooting in Bhadra, 2072.

The movie produced by Govinda Shahi and a presentation of Deepak Kumar Shahi, ‘Parai’ was the last movie of the late director Shiva Regmi. (list of Shiva Regmi’s films) Director Regmi died on December of 2013, a month before the movie was released in theater in January 2014.

The story of the movie is written by Shivam Adhikari, music by Basanta Sapkota. The lyrics of the film are composed by Shib Regmi,Basanta Sapakota,Dayaram Pande,Naresh BHatarai and Nabaraj Lamsal. The singers are Bhishan Mukarung, Dipak Limbu, Swarup Raj Aacharya, Rajina Rimal, Rajesh Payal Rai, and Mandavi Tripathi.

Sanchita Luitel returns to action cuts after 4 years

During the end-clap of the movie ‘Nai Na Bhannu La 3’, actress Sanchita Luitel has told that she is very happy to be the part of the Nepali film industry. Although it has already been four years since she had faced movie camera, she told, it feels like 4 days. Sanchita had also appeared in a music video on mother and danced in a program in Malaysia earlier this year.

In the last few years Sanchita got married to Nikhil Upreti and gave birth to two children. In the past some time Sanchita was preparing for the comeback by shedding weight and taking care of her appearance. In the movie, Sanchita is featured opposite to Suraj Singh Thakuri.

Friday Release – Lazza and Stupid Man

Two new movies ‘Lazza’ and ‘Stupid Man’ were released on Friday, October 24 in theaters all over Nepal. The movies have tried to cash the second biggest holiday in Nepal.

The movie directed by Nawal Nepal, ‘Lazza’ features Aryan Sigdel and Shilpa Pokharel in lead role. The producer Chhabi Raj Ojha has introduced a new actress Shilpa in his movie in an attempt to replace his long time actress Rekha Thapa. Chhabi says that Shilpa is destined to be the top actress in the Nepali film industry. There are also rumors of the affair between the two.

First look trailer and poster of Stupid Man released

In a press meet held in Kathmandu on May 27, the first look poster and trailer of upcoming movie, ‘Stupid Man’ were released. The movie made on social and love story is made on day-to-day life in Nepali living in Thailand. The movie is about the love story of a Burmese girl and a Nepali boy.

The movie was shot in Phuket, Thailand in which, the cast and crew had spent 45 days for the shooting. The movie produced by Niraj Baral with Bibek Shahi features Jiwan Luitel, Niraj Baral, Chandani Sharma, Riju Shrestha and Martin Khan in main roles. The movie is made on the story and direction of Diwakar Bhattarai.

Some income of Parai to be donated to Shiva Regmi family

The producer of ‘Parai’, Govinda Shahi, has told that a portion of the income made by the movie will go to the director’s family. ‘Parai’ director Shiva Regmi had died earlier this month after kidney failure.

The producer told, "15 percent of the collection made by the movie in theater all over Nepal on the release day, Friday will be donated to Shiva Regmi family and Shiva Regmi Trust." Half of the amount goes to Shiva’s family and the remaining half to the Trust. The movie is going to release in theaters on December 27.
