Saugat has directed the movie featuring his father, Gajit Bista, in leading role with other actors like Sangam Bista, Nishma Ghimire, Ashishma Nakarmi and others. The movie is made on the story of a father and a daughter.

The story of the super hit movie of 2012, ‘Loot’ is written by the director, Nischal Basnet. The movie proved to be a relief at the time when the Nepali movie industry was going in a downward spirals. Actress and model Sushma Karki’s item dance ‘Undreko choli …’ established the actress as the hot actress in Nepali film industry. Most of the actors, new in the movie, are now well established actors in the industry and the movie represents a new start and the confidence of the Nepali film industry. Although 4 new Nepali movies were released on the day ‘Loot’ was released, the movie managed to become the top grossing movie of the year.
Nepali film producer Narayan Khatiwada is found dead in a hotel in Kathmandu at round 3 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He had checked in room number 103 of Hotel Hardik in Bagbazar on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, when nobody answered the door of his room, the room was forced open to find Khatiwada dead.

Originally from Chitwan, Khatiwada had recently completed the shooting of his third movie, ‘Mero Manche’. He had also produced movies ‘Bheti’ (Watch Bheti here) and ‘Lafada’ (watch ‘Lafada’ here).
‘Shree 5 Ambare’ is a movie featuring Saugat Malla, Keki Adhikari, Bikram Singh, Priyanka Karki and Yama Buddha in main roles. The movie is directed by ‘Antaral’ famed director, Dipa Basnet and produced under her own home production, Jibansathi Films. The movie features the cinematography of Ganesh Kumar Shrestha, story of Abhimanyo Nirabi, editing of Chandan Dutt and concept and casting by Jibansathi Basnet.
The movie was released on November 21 with another movie ‘Humjayega’.
The story of the movie is about the life of street children – commonly known as ‘khate’ kids. The life in street is not fun but, Ambar (Saugat Malla) and Kali (Keki Adhikari) meet and fell in love in their childhood on street. Ambar is left along in the street when Kali is taken away by a guy. She became a prostitute and lived a comfortable life while Ambar nourished his desire to become a king in the society.

The hit movie features background music of Sanjaya Shrestha, music of Sambhuit Baskota, story by Yubaraj Lama, script/dialogue by Suraj Subba, choreography of Kamal Rai/Alka Shrestha, action of Rajendra Khadgi, camera of Deepak Bantawa. The movie is produced by Yubaraj Lama.
A comedy movie ‘Humjayega’ was released in theater on November 21 with another movie ‘Shree 5 Ambare’. The movie features popular comedian Wilson Bikram Rai, Baboo Bogati, Parbati Rai, Reecha Dhital, Rabi Giri, Shyam Rai and Prajwal Giri in main roles. The movie directed by Surendr Pun is made under Munal Films banner.
The title of the movie was borrowed from the popular comedian of Darjeeling, Dal Bahadur Gurung (Humjayega.com). Dal Bahadur Gurung, a driver by profession, was called ‘Humjayega’ as he was willing to go anywhere to help people. But, the movie is not about Dal Bahadur but, of a similar person who would do anything to help others.
Hum Jayega (Baboo Bogati) is an unemployed person who is quite frustrated for not getting a job. In a small hotel, another person, an owner of a bus, was complaining about a bus driver who didn’t show up. On the recommendation of the hotel owner, Humjayega got the job of a local bus driver. Humjayega meets a beautiful girl, Kanchi (Reecha Dhital), and falls in love. The movie is about the bus driver and how he tries to woo the girl.

Nepali actor Aryan Sigdel is currently the most popular actor in Nepali film industry. Aryan is known for natural acting. Aryan debuted in Rekha Thapa‘s movie ‘Kismat’ (watch Kismat) in 2007.

This week two new Nepali movies ‘Naike’ and ‘Rang Baijani’ are releasing on theater on Friday, December 5, 2014. One movie is action themed and another is a story of female relationship.
The movie directed by Shambhu Pradhan, ‘Rang Baijani’ features actresses Sumina Ghimire and Garima Pant with Dikpal Karki. The movie made on a story of extramarital relationship and clash between two women marks the comeback of the well known director after 12 years of absence from the Nepali film industry. The female oriented film is expected to do well in theaters out of Kathmandu.

Nepali movie ‘Jetho Kancho’ is another hit movie of the hit actors Rajesh Hamal and Shiva Shrestha with actresses Rekha Thapa and Jal Shah. The heart touching social movie is made on the story of two brothers. The movie produced by Sarla Khanal was released in 2003.
Similar to the Kamana Film Award, held earlier, Keki Adhikari and Aryan Sigdel have managed to win the best actor awards in D Cine Award.
The film award only for the films made on digital technology, D Cine Award, was held in Kathmandu on December 3, 2014. In the award ceremony organized by Chhayachabi Creation, awards in 22 different catgories were awarded.
Two movies that won most award with 5 awards each are ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2’ and ‘Chha Ekan Chha’. Actor Aryan Sigdel and actress Keki Adhikari were awarded the best actor and actress award respectively.

The first CG Kamana Film Awards was announced in a program held on December 1, 2014 in Kathmandu. In addition to awarding the artists, a cultural program was also organized featuring Nepali film artists including Karishma Manandhar, Bhuwan KC and other.
